Big Max Burger

I believe this is the first smash burger I've ever had. I have say I understand why it is currently a craze. I've never had a burger that is part bacon, but the crispiness of the outside of the patties is a revelation. I've come never to expect greatness from a shoestring fry, but the herb salt is a nice touch. Minimal service as you order off a tablet when you enter, that said they were definitely friendly. Clean on the inside. Come in if you're craving a sweet burger!

Oh freak! This burger makes the big Queen Anne hill worth it! So yummy!!They've got a small menu, makes ordering easy. You can order at the counter with cash at at a touch screen kiosk with card! We got the Queen Animal burger and a large fry.Burger was classic big juicy burger. You can't go wrong here! Barbecue gave it nice sweet tasteFries were seasoned to perfection. They gave us so many sauces and trust me you will go through them.

The burger here was sooo juicy. I did think the sauce was too much on my big Max Burger. But it was still good. The hot mama hen burger was perfect. Very crispy and juicy. Sauce was perfect too.I very much enjoyed the Tillamook strawberry milkshake. It was thick but not too thick.

WTF were they thinking with this name? It's not that funny but it is quite a peculiar choice. Anyway.In short:Good burgers, incredible fries, and a cool selection of drinks for a burger joint. In long:This is one of those new mixed-residential buildings with businesses along the streets at ground level. Nice little patio, big signage. It's not overly large inside, and they didn't do anything over-the-top with the decor, but building it out must have cost a pretty penny. You can order on an ipad by the door, or from a human a few feet farther in at the counter. The staff here doesn't quite have a frat vibe, but it's younger dudes, probably from the neighborhood, so there's a definite preppy personality to the room. Friendly, well-caffeinated. The menu is kinda short--couple burgers, sandwiches, the fries, couple other things. They have wine slushies, boozy milkshakes, and other drink choices (including fountain sodas, naturally). We both had the Thomas burger, which is great. Kind of a flattop smashburger, it has those nice crispy edges. Toppings are built up with a good backyard cookout approach--nice slices of fresh veg, still crunchy and with plenty of flavor. Chewy soft bun. The fries, though! Crispy, light, greaseless shoestring fries, dusted over with herbed salt. They mentioned they can add a little extra garlic to the mix on request, which is probably the call. And a "large" here is about the size of a kid's lunch bag, not the little pocket that most servings come in. We ordered one large for two of us, went crazy devouring them, and still had more than half an order after left after we got full. So damn good, and such a generous portion. The wine slushy was fine, and I had fountain iced tea, which was perfect (and ought to be impossible to mess up). We were out the door for 2 burgers, one fry, 2 drinks, and tip for $60. Kind of a splurge, but a great early dinner.

Wow! Very impressed with this burger place. Everything we ate was fantastic. I did a custom burger. One patty was perfect size. Large fries was huge. We were two people and had lots leftover. And they have this great seasoning on them. The boozy strawberry shortcake milkshake was SO good. We also got the chicken nuggets and they were great. You can order at the computer kiosk or at the counter. Lots of different sauce options. But they do charge 50 cents each. They've got a bar, beers, wine. Highly recommend if you're looking for a burger in Queen Anne!

TLDR: Great burgers and fries with delicious drinks!My friend and I decided to stop by for lunch, as we have never been here before but have seen it around. The restaurant is very cute and modern. We ordered on the iPad but you can order from a person as well. We ordered 2 burgers, 2 small combos (includes a small fries and drink of choice). I upgraded my drink to a Strawberry Shortcake shake. The total came to about $39 (before tip). The burgers were delicious. My friend and I got a Big Max Burger and the Thomas burger, both were a generous sized portion.The burgers were seasoned well and the sauce was delicious as well. The fries were the star of the show! The fries were shoestring and seemed to be dusted with an herbed salt. If I wasn't so full, I would've devoured all of the fries. One of the workers overheard us talking about how we were curious about the mango lemonade and gave us both a small sample, DELICIOUS btw. And so so nice of the worker haha! The shake was also delicious, it had small crumbles of shortcake. And I saw workers moving Tilamook ice cream so I assume all the shakes are made with quality ice cream. I definitely recommend coming here on a nice day to get the outside seating and eat some amazing burgers!

Yummy burgers and really kind staff!The burger was very tender with crunchy sides, and everything was seasoned well. It's a little pricey, but you can tell that everything is good quality and there's thought put behind the recipes. Also, the staff was so sweet, he gave my friend and I some samplers of their iced mango lemonade--it was so good!!

The food was incredible! The shakes were so refreshing, and the service from the people working was relatively quick and overall very pleasant! Will be coming again

This is a darn good smash burger. It's larger than most smash burgers - but not thicker - it's thin and deliciously crispy with the right amount of burger to condiment and bun ratio. The burger is made out of beef and bacon, which makes it extra delicious with a deeper flavor profile than many burgers. Fries are thin and crispy like - well honestly - a good McDonald's fry, and I say that as a compliment. I sat at a counter looking out on the street - this is a quick food place so expect to go in, order at a iPad or the counter, and sit down for a quick bite. Place is clean and bright.I do wish they had non dairy milkshakes but there is plenty to have without that!

This is my favourite burger place in Seattle! Being gluten free and dairy free it can be super hard to find a place that does good burgers AND can cater to my dietary needs but Big Max manages to do both!!I most recently had takeout - I always get the Thomas burger with fries and Brussel sprouts. You can't miss our on the sprouts! They are absolutely delicious (I swear I dream of them!). The service is always great, quick and not super expensive either! If you choose to dine in, the relaxed vibe is a perfect fit! I highly recommend going here if you're fixing for a good burger.
