Big Lake Bar & Grill

I have been here for a total of three times, the first two everything was great. I really enjoyed coming but today for my to go order I am so disappointed. My burger was severely undercook and had to stop eating it after three bites. Please take a look at the photo, I did not ask for this. I am really sad to say that I won't be coming back.

Decent. I hear that they have changed hands recently after closing. Glad to see this place back open. I didn't try it before so I don't have anything to compare it to. At any rate, the women who was working when we went was very nice and even Brought me a sample of cider and I didn't even have to ask. Cool. Typical bar food, nothing too special or anything that makes them stand out.I would stop by again for a beer and a snack.

What a neat little spot to hang out! I love the vibe here. The servers were super friendly AND they are dog friendly, which is always a huge plus in my book! You might not think there would be be vegetarian options here but there are! We really enjoyed their veggie burgers and were super happy when we found out they serve Skookum Beer, as well as Elemental Cider! I would definitely love to come back here sometime when I'm in the neighborhood.

First time here since under new management. Honesty didn't notice much of a difference in the decor or ambiance. The waitress was very outgoing and friendly but the kitchen was extremely slow and took over an hour for two plates of fish and chips. our waitress was embarrassed and ended up offering a free dessert to make up for it. The fish itself was really good, fries were ok, coleslaw was disappointing and rather disagreeable. Overall we were hungry enough to stop because there is not much in the area but I don't think we will be back anytime soon.

Alright, my last review was not good at this place, HOWEVER, they have made great improvements, starting with a better cook, they have introduced night life that is fun, and the prices have not changed dramatically... The service is pretty good, the staff is friendly, and the food is tasty... They also have 22oz beers on tap... I will definitely come back at this level..

Stopped in for a needed brake off our Harleys. Had the crab cakes burger and it was awesome. Bikers beware. Park in the parking lot unless you want rocks thrown at your bike. If the traffic went the speed limit it would probably be OK, but you know how that is.

Great bar food! Fish and chips is excellent. Go for the lamb if you're looking for a good plate to fill you up. Never been mad at something I've ordered, they elevate the classics. Fun staff, love that they host so many events

Crab Cakes, yes please! Crab Cake Burger -- yummmmMy motorcycle group went on a Fall Colors Ride, and we finished at this awesome little gem. The restaurant was all set up for Halloween, so the restaurant was decked out in spooky attire.I was having some tummy troubles, so they took awesome care of me. They provided me with a lovely sparkling water. l have made similar requests at other places to no avail. Thanks for that!!Anyway, the food was excellent, I got the Crab Burger, and split some bbq oysters. Oh, and they have vegemite on all of the tables. I absolutely adored the crab burger, which was perfect. The house made tartar was so yummy!! Although my friend said the tomato bisque was cold and sweet with an aftertaste. Since I didn't have it, I won't knock any points off. Service was on-point, and the food was rawkin. I so highly recommend this little gem!!

I try to support venues that have live music whenever possible. And Big Lake Bar & Grill has been a long time supporter of the live music scene in Skagit County. I recently went to see a live band on a Saturday night I ordered a Cheeseburger and fries. I was hoping for something at lease somewhat unique, this place has been in this location forever, probably longer than I've been alive. My meal came out fast, they were fairly busy and I must have got my order in before everyone else. My burger was about as predictable as you can get. No unique sauce, plain, boring fries, and not a lot of them. Nice that they still use a decent sized burger patty though. My burger was good, but I was expecting better, the Big Lake Bar & Grill didn't open yesterday, it was take minimal effort to improve this burger, next time I'll ask if I can get BBQ sauce or bacon. The tarter sauce I ordered for my fries was boring, stick with the ketchup. The band was fantastic, and not too loud, and my server was very attentive. I really like this place, I will be returning for sure. Comfortable, cozy, friendly, great location, and average food. I've been told to try other menu items, I was just in the mood for a burger.

If you like excessive use of salt, this is the place for you! Fries? Super salty. Bloody Mary? Super salty. Who uses table salt to rim a bloody mary? These guys do. And lots of it.
