There was not much to praise about the interior. The furnishings are plain and simple. The furniture is clean and well-maintained. It also makes me feel at ease especially first time coming here.Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to adjust my original entree order of their yook gae jang to bool go gi dup bob. The thin, tender slices of beef were combined with mushrooms, scallions, and white onions. Its flavor is weak, but its texture is perfect. Luckily, a complimentary tiny side dish was included to go with the meal. I liked that it gave the bland beef more taste. Since the side dishes are provided at no cost, feel free to ask for a refill. It came with a mildly flavored soup on the side to wash it down. The food was served hot at my table, which I appreciated, and the service was prompt. Although they could do better at paying attention, the personnel was polite. Although the food is average, the price is affordable. I hope to return and sample more of their dishes. It doesn't seem like the food I ordered did justice and that's why I want to give them a second chance. Thank you for the meal.

A nice hole in the wall Korean restaurant. It's surprisingly very spacious inside and very homey. It's close to my place but first time checking it out! I ordered the gamja tang which is a soup made made with pork back bone and vegetables. It was tasty. Lots of big chunks of meat. My dad ordered the kal gooksoo, noodle soup with clams and vegetables. My brother ordered the sul lung tang, beef bone broth with thin slice beef, noodles, and green onions. I got to try a bit of their orders and everything was tasty. The 6 side dishes they bring out are also tasty. We naturally spoke to the server in Korean. She was very attentive and sweet. Prices are reasonable. It's nothing mind blowing but a place I'd recommend if you want some simple yet solid Korean food.

You can taste authentic korean food here. Also opens for the breakfast for full menu. They don't have lunch special option.I recommend mandoo which is hand-made. Soup, steamed, or with noodle ( kal- mandoo kook) is all good. Also squid dol-sot bibimbop is very tasty if you are good with spicy food.

This place actually used to be good, but it has been a few years since I've been here. Maybe they changed owners or something.I came here because I heard their gamja tang (spicy pork neck bone and potato stew) is really good! But guess what? No gamja tang on the menu. Booo.I ordered the individual portion of goat stew, the other people I went with ordered dol sot bibimbap, and gopchang jungeol (intestine stew). The banchan was pretty good. I especially liked the spicy pepper one. Other than that, everything else was bland and tasteless. My stew had a ton of green onion, a few shredded pieces of goat, and mostly all soup. The soup had good flavor, but I would've liked more pieces of goat. Not worth $11.99.I didn't try the bibimbap, but it looked boring and had only veggies. I saw a lot of bean sprouts after it was all mixed together. The gungeol was meh. It had tripe, intestines, udon noodles, clear noodles, but it had no flavor. Not worth the price, which was $32.99.The service was quick and the servers were nice tho.

Delicious and authentic Korean food. If you're feeling homesick for some good Korean food and atmosphere, this is it. Anytime if travel to Chicago, I go out of my way for a meal here. And the staff is super nice. Highly recommended!
