My family went for a weekend lunch. We were seated right away and the server was very friendly! We started with yellowtail jalapeño, scallop nigiri, and takoyaki. For main, we ordered sushi deluxe (nigiri + spicy tuna roll), sashimi deluxe (which both came with miso soup), and seafood ramen. I personally thought the presentation of the food looked better than it tasted. The fish kind of tasted like it's been sitting outside for awhile and it was warmer than I wanted it to be. The ramen was a good addition to the sushi but it was a little too salty for us.. overall, the food was filling but wasn't the most satisfying. I was super stoked to try this place but overall, it was a very mediocre experience :/

Ordered the Seared Tuna Salad & a couple of rolls. My favorite was the Dream Salmon Roll. Many options to choose from the menu. Definitely recommend this place!

Good and quick service, super fresh sushi, reasonable prices and a super clean interior. Wasn't expecting much when this spot pulled up on Yelp and to be honest when we pulled up. Was super surprised to walk in and find a really detail oriented/mindful set up. Food comes out quickly and adorned with extra decorations that honestly aren't necessary, the fresh flowers were more than enough. Ordered Osaka pressed sushi roll, kiss of death roll, California roll and yellowtail scallion. The rolls are hefty! The Osaka pressed roll was really good, tons of flavor, each bite was consistent. I really believe you can tell if a place is good bass on this roll since it's so simple. It was so good! Reminded me of my favorite place for California rolls, definitely one of the better ones I've had. Similarly I found the yellowtail scallion super fresh and flavorful, also one of the best I've had aside from the really fancy spots. The only roll I didn't like was the kiss of death and it's mainly because there was something in it that gave it a funny taste, we think it's the hot sauce. Overall, super positive experience. Not sure it's worth the drive to Kirkland only because there are a lot of yummy spots there butttttt definitely worth checking out if you are wanting sushi!

- good quality but pricy- Food: 4 stars we ordered sushi deluxe and a volcano roll. Both were delicious, and I really like the volcano roll. Service: 4 starsthe service is good but they are obviously under staffed with just one waitor. He forgot to give us water and we had to wait to pay in the end. He also said "just" when he's taking our orders which made me feel a bit uncomfortable because it implied that we ordered too little, but turned out it's just his habit and he says that to the other customers who ordered more food too. Ambiance: 3 stars It's pretty casual here with classical music playing in the background. The pricing and ambiance doesn't really match up since they are like in between kaitensushi and fancy sushi restaurants, but what they are charging is closer to a fancy sushi restaurant. Price: 2 stars If you come here on the weekend like we did, there is no lunch price. You are essentially paying dinner price for lunch which isn't a good deal. Overall: 3.25 stars I'd probably just go to fancy sushi restaurants in the future instead of here. Their lunch special might be worth it, but I doubt I will have the chance to try it given it's far.

Service - 4/5. The staff is friendly and attentive.Ambience- 3/5. It's a casual yet clean dining place. Food - 4/5. If you are looking for authentic sushi or a nice omakase, go to Kashiba, Taneda, Takai by Kashiba, or I love sushi depending on your budget. If you just want a casual/beginner level sushi or any fusion rolls, this is a good place for you. Everything we had was good!

Sometimes I think I have a gluttony for punishment. If the photos don't look right, don't do it. In this case, the fish looks off. And it is off. This Big Fish Sushi is the second location, after Bothell. The photos never looked enticing there, so I never went. After they opened this closer location, I decided to brave it and go, especially with the 4.5 Stars average rating. Nope, big mistake. For starters, what kind of wasabi do they use? It's neon green and doesn't taste like wasabi even when I put it directly on my tongue. They use a giant glop of neon wasabi to stick a plastic plant on top for presentation. That should tell you something. While I had a difficult time controlling my facial disgust, the next table is gushing in delight over the pretty presentation. Whatever. Their fish are very pale looking - all of them. They weren't fishy smelly, but they are pale and unreal looking. They didn't taste like fish, to be honest. Even raw fish has a taste. Lastly, the rice is uneven - too wet at certain spots but separated at others. The rice is also not "sushi rice" enough, meaning need more rice vinegar. The service was enthusiastic. There was one dish on the menu with a photo that looked too good to be real. I asked the server if the dish looks like that. He said no. At least, he was honest. The place was clean and utilitarianly basic. The Food:Salmon Collar - 2 StarsIt doesn't seem possible for a Japanese style grilled salmon collar to be not seasoned enough, but yet, they managed to do just that. It's only salt and soy sauce. The presentation looks pretty good otherwise. Mixed Tempura - 2.5 StarsThis dish was the closest to average. Even then, the tempura coating lacked the fluff it should have.Osaka Sushi Roll, $15.95 - 1 StarThe photo looks better. The fish is messy and tasteless.Salmon Avocado Roll - 1 StarThe salmon looks more like salmon but didn't taste like salmon.Rainbow roll, $12.95 - 1 StarThe tuna was the only fish cut that was thick enough. I actually started to peel off the fish. I give up on whatever this fish product is.Tri-Color Roll, $14.95 - 1 StarAgain, the photo looks better. They need much more fish roe on top. I didn't want to finish this, either.

Friendly service, quality sushi, reasonably priced. The only miss in my book was the agedashi tofu (kind of had a slimy texture) but the sushi was delicious and the hot sake was perfect for a rainy spring day. The ambiance is a little lacking (it's in a strip mall) but there is ample seating and parking. Overall it's a sold spot!

Came in on a rainy Sunday and we were seated promptly. Service was good, but we were also only the ones in the restaurant. Sushi here was.. ok. It wasn't fantastic but I wasn't mad about it. Chicken Karage was extremely oily though.I think I'd come back if I was in the area and really really craving sushi, but I dont know if I'd go really out of the way for it though. It wasn't bad though!
