Big Chicken - Coming Soon

This place just opened earlier in the week. So to be clear it is a fast food restaurant so I rated it within that context. The chicken was really tender and well seasoned. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and it was actually really spicy, I loved it! The employees were all very friendly and they understand that most people haven't been in before so they had a lot of good suggestions. I really recommend getting the big chicken sauce with your meal, it was really good. The meals are huge, so realistically the next time I go we will probably just get one meal and split it between the two of us. It's definitely still fast food and not really a healthy option, but if you're in the mood for a really good chicken sandwich big chicken is probably the best option in Tacoma

I've been waiting to try this place out and it's open now! Fast food chicken - it's good and the staff is friendly! They were patient as we were ordering and helpful with sauces and made sure to verify that the meal was rung up as we wanted. No wait but some people (Sunday). Chicken was good and moist and toddler loved both the chicken and the mac and cheese. We got the side fruit for our kid but it was just a sweet fruit cup (fyi!) and there wasn't a milk option so we stuck with water. Employees were quick to clean up messes and wipe down tables. If I'm looking for some quick fried chicken I will come back here.

This place is like Chick-Fil-A on steroids. Came here on the way home on a Wednesday night and there was not wait (except if you order a milkshake, it took awhile). I ordered the Ultimate and couldn't finish it. It was like 2 meals in one! You can sub out your fries to any side so I chose the dirty fries. (There was an additional cost for this which they did not mention so be warned) Hubby ordered the Shaq Attack which, if you like spicy, was far superior - jalapeño coleslaw for the win! YUM! I think it's a pretty solid chicken sandwich without all the extras on it. I think I'll try that next time. I loved the Stubborn sodas on tap and appreciate the paper towel napkins on every table. Tried to upload my points into the app but Tacoma is not listed as an option yet and you have to enter a credit card in order to start collecting.

Nashville hot: chicken was nice a juicy. Every bite the chicken tasted fresh and just fried. Ultimate: the flavor was good. Everything mixed well together.

Super excited about the Big Chicken off Pearl st in Tacoma!! Today is opening day!! Picked up lunch for a few of us- staff were so welcoming! Ambiance of the place is laid back. The menu looks great! I tried the Ultimate sandwich with dirty fries- really good! Off to a great start Big Chicken! So happy to have something new in the West End!

Went and visit this restaurant after a friend of mine was raving about the food. First impressions were not good we walked in and the first thing I saw with somebody coming out of the kitchen with a filthy apron on eating fries not appetizing, I had the a Shaq attack. It had chicken and jalapeños and coleslaw. Not the best burger I've ever had. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The coleslaw was very overpowering. The fries were nothing special. They were just regular crinkle fries not sure I would visit this place again. There are other chicken places in the Seattle Tacoma area that are much better than this place save your money and go there.

For a place that doesn't offer online ordering or drive thru, the customer service at the counter is pretty underwhelming.

Crispy chicken! Yummy! Great service and great flavors. Love that new places are opening. Also noticed they have a liquor license now. Wonder if they'll be serving drinks. We order a classic chicken sandwich and nashville hot chicken sandwich. Both were delicious! Foot traffic in this place was on going but quick turn around. Also, I see people complaining about the tip machine. All systems come with the tipping option. Just don't tip if you don't want to stop complaining.

Have been here twice- today being second visit. Would love to love this place but just can't. First visit ordered chicken tenders, popcorn chicken, fries, the slaw, and Mac & Cheese. We tried a variety of sauces. Tenders were average. Popcorn chicken was "fine", fries nothing special (all small pieces), sauces average, slaw pretty good, and husband liked the mac & cheese. All together that meal was $33. Today disappointing. I ordered the tenders grilled. Yuck. They just were not good- odd smell from whatever sauce grilled in. I ate one. Husband not interested in them. Ordered fries- again mostly small pieces. Otherwise they were "fine". Mac & cheese still good. Husband ordered BBQ chicken sandwich. He thought it was good but not "come back" good. I went and ordered a sundae. They brought out a shake. I told them I ordered a sundae. Staff commented she thought I had, so she gave me a sundae & said to keep the shake. I thanked them but looked at receipt. I was charged for a shake so ...I am sure this place will do fine or ok although spendy, especially if you have kids but I compare these chicken places to Raising Cains- not even close to that quality!!! By the way- all of these Counter Order establishments need to get rid of the " tipping option"... IF I ORDER AND PICK UP MY OWN FOOD AND THEN EMPTY MY OWN TRAY IN TRASH, WHY SHOULD I LEAVE A TIP??????!!!!! Ugh. If we need to eat close to home, going to Habit Grill instead.
