There was live music and it was outside under a covered tent from 5-7p (gooo Rick and Lisa).I wasn't a big fan of the beers, I tried a hazy IPA and a west coast IPA. They were both light and flavor was similar. I was surprised the beer didn't seem cold enough so maybe that was affecting the flavor a bit. They have froze (frozen white wine) and a frozen strawberry lemonade that are both in slushee form - so fun and yummy. Overall lots of drinks to choose from and menu says they have several non alcoholic options as well.Food - they have two options where you order over your cell phone using QR codes for either Mean Sandwich (they sit NextDoor) and Cycle dogs. I ordered from mean sandwich and it was really good for a sub. It fed two for $20 and included some potato wedges that are smashed thin.Parking was good in the back and service was your typical brewery, including self bussing and counter service.

The venue is fairly standard for a brewery with an industrial ambiance indoors and a bunch of picnic tables covered by a big awning with outdoor heating in the back. Service is with a smile and pints are about $7-$8 each. That said, I tried four things and didn't like any of them. It was probably the rotation they have right now, but there seemed to be a theme of sour/funky going on, from a porter made in a window barrel to a cucumber cider to a sour/funky ale that I hoped was like a lambic but wasn't at all. Bottom line: Not pleasing to my palate. I may be back but only after checking the menu and doing taste trials.

Bickerson's I first went to in nearby Renton a few years ago. At the time I thought the beer was just okay but since then I feel like the beer has improved. This second location is located in Ballard in the brewery area of the neighborhood and they are in the space where Peddler Brewing used to be (I didn't know they closed. That was a surprise.). As I said I felt like they improved and revamped some of their company logos for their t shirts and had a good Mexican Lager. It was good and light. Sessionable(meaning a light beer you could drink throughout the day) and refreshing for the hot summer day we were encountering.

I had been to both locations. The Renton is my favorite, but the outdoor space at Ballard is good year round. The employees are friendly. It's the beer that brings us back. I love sampling the variety they offer. I am always surprised by how the flavor changes with food. The beer is good, better than some other more known breweries. If you haven't stopped by, you're missing out on some good beer.

Found street parking across the street around noon on a Sunday and went to the back of the brewhouse. There were lots of tables for lots of people, and luckily it wasn't too crowded and mostly our group of people. My partner and I ordered a frosé and a pink lemonade slushie at the front, both of which were very good and perfect for the warm weather.

This is the brewery that took over the spot that was once Peddler. They seem to have left the seating setup the same, which in my opinion is good because it's a great setup for a lot of seating at the front of the building, inside the building, and behind the building. They also still seem to have the connection with Mean Sandwich next door so that people can pick up their order at the window in the back of the building. Now the big question is how is the beer? They have a tap list with variety, including a couple of cider options. I really enjoyed the Spanish lager.

We seem to stop off here often when walking around Ballard and spent a fair amount of time at the previous brewery in this location. I can't recall if I have been to the Renton location of this brewery beforehand. This is one of the newer breweries in Ballard and worth a stop off if you haven't made it in yet. Like most places in the area it's street parking only. They don't have their own food, but there is food available next door which can be brought over. I like that this location is large where you don't feel as cramped as at many of the Ballard breweries and has 2 bathrooms. You can choose to sit inside if the weather is cold, although the outdoor area is much larger. It's good for meeting a larger party, since you likely will not find a big spot to sit at most of the other places. The outdoor area is covered, so you will be dry, but the heating is not as great as you would hope. There's always a large selection of beer available, which seems to change frequently. I also appreciate a place where you can see the taplist thru the window outside without having to go in case nothing appeals to you, with so many breweries in the area you do have to be a little picky. Bonus points for the brewery cat.

My first visit to the Bickerson Brewery in Ballard (used to be the Pedeler). Simple venue, lots of space, no frills, open air and amazing beer! The "Lil west coast g ipa" is amazing! Kid friendly! Pet friendly. Resident cat named "Simko". Recommend!

Low quality poorly crafted beer. Typically the beer made with poor cleanliness and attention to detail. This is further evidenced by the filthy brewing area.
