Visited Betz again for their 2019 Boudreaux pick up event. Impressed as always. The new wines were phenomenal, I highly recommend the Pere de Famille - fantastic Cab heavy Bordeaux style wine. The tasting event was ran beautifully. Sommeliers we're available to answer questions despite the number of served guests. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.Still my favorite winery in the Greater Seattle Area!

Even though it was late on a Friday afternoon and we ran late to our appointment Taylor Lewman waited for us and greeted us warmly. In fact everyone we ran into after we parked our car greeted us carefully. Taylor was very informative about Betz wines and also spent a lot of time educating us about wine making and tasting. We also received a leisurely tour of the Betz Winery with all of our inquisitive questions answered patiently and unpretentiously by Taylor. Their Chenin Blanc, Rhone and Bordeaux style blend creations were amazing! I am now their fan and on their wine club wait list!

Very confusing. We tried to go to betz. After parking and walking over we found a tiny teeny sign that said office. But there was no direction to a tasting room. The pictures other reviewers show a building with big brown doors. I'm thinking that this is not the tasting room. We gave up trying to find the tasting room because of no signage.

While you can't really stop by to taste, Betz is one of the best in the area. I am a bit bummed that they've sold, but at least Bob Betz is going to stay on as the winemaker for a few more years. Solid wines with great nose, depth, and finish....although many need to be cellared for a bit at least. Plan ahead, look on-line, and try and stop by for an event. Price points can be higher, but worth it for the most part.

First rate wine tasting experience. Cherilyn & Bridget were divine educators and hostesses. The wines & food pairings were divine and so were the majestic views.

Bob is a friendly, caring and soft spoken gentlement who really has forgotten more about wine than I'll ever know..You can't come to taste here.. but when you're on the mailing list you can order and attend their release parties which is twice a year..Always look forward to these and time to pop a few of the early 2000s, as age really does these wines kind..

I recently read a Seattle Met Magazine list of superb wines. I'm not a wine connoisseur by any means, so I often rely on others who know more about wine than I do. On this list, Betz Family Winery, on Woodinville-Redmond Road, was featured for its Pere de Famille Cabernet Sauvignon. It's been a while since my husband and I have purchased a bottle of really nice wine, so we decided to treat ourselves recently. The winery is a lovely place. Customer service was top-notch when we stopped by to get curbside pick-up for our Pere de Famille Cabernet Sauvignon - helpful, informative, and friendly.I enjoyed my glass of wine very much.Cheers!

Do you enjoy snobbery? This winery is for you!Caveat: This review only applies to customer service, as I've not been to the winery or had their wines. I'd been researching local wineries and Betz stood out to me - they were #1 on my to try list. I reached out to them (admittedly with very short notice) inquiring about a virtual tasting. I received a response stating there would not be enough time to ship the wine, and to reach out with questions. Thrilled that was the only barrier, I eagerly responded that we could pick it up. The response I received to this, however, was ridiculously full of unnecessary snark and snootiness I was taken aback. My initial email was definitely not presumptuous and was worded in a way that implied '"I realize this is a longshot, but..." They've now secured the #1 spot on my places to avoid list. So many other lovely, pleasant wineries around - why put up with this sh*t?

I'm really bummed I have to write this but unfortunately our group had a bad experience. First off, if you charge $65 per person (plus tax) for a wine tasting, this better be an AMAZING experience. We had 6 tasters that were maybe 1 ounce each and a nice charcuterie plate. The charcuterie plate was maybe equivalent to $15 so now that leaves $50 worth of wine. It was a 95 degree day in Seattle, the tasting room isn't air conditioned and the wine was served at room temperature. Imagine drinking red wine that the bottle was at room temperature. It was really bad. I also thought we were paying for a tour or more of a personalized experience and that definitely didn't happen. There was excellent customer service but everyone was busy. We understand everywhere is under staffed so I'm definitely not writing a bad review about that. This is 100% about the way the wine was served, the cost of the tasting and not exactly knowing what I even paid for. I've been wine tasting globally for years and have never paid $70 for a tasting. This is not worth it. Until they change the price or how much wine they serve you, save your money! Go buy the Betz red wine bottle at the grocery store as it's probably cheaper. Also if you buy one of their expensive bottles they don't comp your tasting, it's only if you buy a case you get 10% off.

For those of you who don't know Betz does wine tastings at the winery. What a wonderful setting. They have a pergola by the winery that is lovely. The views from the property are beautiful and of course the wines are the best! We had a charcuterie tray that was to die for. Taylor took us through the wines and was very knowledgable. What a top notch group.
