Besta-Wan Pizza House

This place is great. Food is delicious, what makes it better? The service... had a guy named Travis and he was awesome (cracking jokes, recommending good food). Overall, great spot but the service is what makes it great.

It's regrettable to share this review, as Besta-wan has long been cherished by locals. While I've grown accustomed to the restaurant's evolving menu, the recent change to their pizza feels like a significant departure. Nevertheless, the establishment remains a picturesque destination, perfect for enjoying drinks with furry companions while basking in the sun and ocean breeze.The service and ambiance consistently exude excellence, with each staff member displaying a genuine passion for their work. Despite my disappointment with the menu alterations, I maintain confidence that Besta-wan is simply navigating another phase of adjustment, and I'll continue to support them until they no longer embody their namesake.

In the old Spago days, you walked in and if you went to the left.... You were in the cool crowd. At Besta on Sundays, it's kinda the same. Meagan takes good care of us and BOOM here is my beautiful Manmosa ice cold right in front of me. Then the catch up with friends starts and ordering happens and the BOOM another half Manmosa shows up. Lots of laughs and great brunch.... Check paid and nap!!! It's a good Sunday for all! So.... go and turn left at the stairs and join the fun.

Big score here!!! Bests-Wan is tucked back on a side steer in Cardiff. The menu has a real variation of choices We ordered a veggie pizza , a Chicago style Italian beef sandwich & a couple cold local suds. The pizza was excellent with the perfect amount of crispiness in the crust. The sandwich was phenomenal similar to a New Orleans muffeleta. Several breakfasts came out of the kitchen all looking yummy. I was told they have tasty burgers too. And, a wonderful salad selection. Looking forward to returning for more delicious bites.Mighty pet friendly on the outside shaded patio. Fun eclectic vibes indoors. Attentive wait staff.All around an A+

Little pizza place- pizza isn't the best I've had, but decent. Cute deck area to sit at, friendly service. Chopped Italian salad was delicious

Staff was super friendly- so that was a plus, and the outdoor seating area is really cute and fun. No problems with any of that....the pizza though, could use some help. I like a thin crust, so I was good with the crust, but would have liked to taste a bit of red sauce. If there was any, it wasn't much. Also, i had ordered a couple of meats and roasted garlic as toppings. The meats were fine, but the only place I could detect any hint of the garlic was on the bill (where I was definately charged for it). Besta Salad was OK- lots of large leafs of lettuce and not a lot of cheese or nuts or anything else except for craisins. Dressing was mostly vinegar- could use something a bit sweet or something. Drink menu was OK- nothing special and wine choices were limited unless you want to spend a lot. The place was full (good place to bring your dog apparently), so a lot of people seem to like it- the pizza just wasn't anything I'd come back again for.

The food is great here . I love the thin crust pizza , the calamari is one of the best in San Diego and the burger is delicious. Don't fall for the joint that opened up trying to use their name to trick you . This is the OG !!!

I'm seriously so sad. First time being back since the owners switched. This has been one of my all time favorite places. I would drive 30+ minutes to come eat here. I always order the wings and I thought the last one I was eating tasted a bit weird but I didn't think much of it. I didn't even notice until I was bagging up my leftovers that my wings were raw inside. I even ordered themExtra crispy. I'm so nauseous just thinking about it and I don't know if I'll be able to go back.

Love this place. Pizza is delish, salads are great. Simple menu, limited good beer. They don't have my fav. The staff make this place awesome!

I'm definitely going to have to make my go to place in Cardiff this place has peanut butter wings you're not going to find them anywhere else food was delicious, service was amazing, this is another rare instance where the staff care about the people they serve, Giving a shout out to Travis I believe he was the guy in charge, you will be seeing me again.
