Best of Philly

Ambiance: Great for a quick bite for lunch. Cleanliness: Very well maintained. The kitchen was spotless all the way up to the stove vents. Taste: So flavorful and juicy... Best Philly steak I have ever had in PHX. The quality continues to remain the same throughout the years. Service: A husband and wife run this place and the service is always top tier. They are so friendly and you can tell they love what they do. Overall: Such a great mom and pop shop with incredible quality and service. I hope this place continues to thrive in our community. Bring cash to tip as they don't have a tip option when you pay.

I lived in Philly. I have NEVER had a cheesesteak THIS GOOD out of PA. I've lived in Az for almost 20 years and Best of Philly is the cheesesteak go to for Arizona. I order x x x cheese, some mayo and a ton of pickles. ALWAYS AMAZING EVERYTIME. I do t work there, I'm not paid for this, I just drive from Ahwatukee 1 time a week because it is worth the drive!!!

Good service, but cheesesteak was not all that. No bad but, not somewhere I would go back too. Tested like the grill needed to be cleaned.

This tiny little place is serving up some tasty food! I just started working in the neighborhood and a coworker and I decided to grab some lunch. We were having quite the busy day and didn't want to go too far, so this was actually the closest place.I went with the mini original Philly. She had chicken instead. We both made them into combos - fried zucchini as her side and onion rings for mine so we could share. We did dine in as there were a couple empty tables. Be warned - I think there are only 4 tables since it is so small. They may have outdoor seating, but I'm honestly not sure. The place reminds me of the old clam shacks back on the east coast. Just order at the counter/window and wait for them to call your number. Nothing fancy, but usually has the best food at decent prices. And being from the east coast, I've had a few Philly cheesesteaks in my day. This was right up there with the best of them. Flavorful, hot and on a great roll! We all know the rolls can make or break any sandwich/hoagie/sub. And the mini with the side of rings was the perfect lunch size. The onion rings and the zucchini were crispy, not greasy, and thick cut so you got the vegetable. I know I'll be stopping in again. I noticed a gyro on the menu, and some baklava on the counter, so the owners may be Greek, and I know I want to try those. And I'm pretty sure my husband will probably show up at my office one of these days when he's off so he can try it since he loves cheesesteaks.

We went because my husband loves Philly cheese steaks. The place is very small but very clean. The people were friendly who took our order. It was a very busy place and most were take out because of the size. There is outside seating but too hot in the summer. However, the Philly sandwich was subpar. Not much meat and dry, no flavor to it. Ordered zucchini but could not eat them because most had stuck to each other and not cooked. The hamburger was good with decent flavor but greasy . Easier to get a decent Philly from Jersey Mikes than ordering from here. Won't go there again.

4-Point Review Food - Stopped in to try out their Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, and it was one of the best I've had outside of Philadelphia! I technically got what they call a "Bomb Philly" which is just the cheesesteak sandwich but loaded with american cheese, grilled onions, Mushrooms, Pepperoncini, and Sweet Peppers. So good, even the bread they use is custom made for their cheesesteaks. Service - It was my first time stopping in, and they had my sandwich freshly made just a few minutes after I ordered! Great staff Atmosphere - Small little lunch spot, with limited tables inside, but tons of outside tables right on Central Ave. Guess they've been here since 1995, one of the staples of Downtown/Central PhoenixSustainability Rating (8/10) - I went inside and ate there, they only had styrofoam cups and I believe one time use cutlery for their dine-in experience. They could at least switch those to reusable utensils for in-person dining

Cheesesteaks and several hoagies available. That's it. Cheesesteak was very good, worth going there any time I'm near. Service was quick, I had my sandwich in about 3 minutes. On about 6 tables inside, and they were all taken, so I took mine to go. An old converted Taco Bell with 75% unnecessarily converted to kitchen. No restrooms, zero ambience.No pictures because it barely made it to the car!

One of those typical small establishments were you already know the food is going to smack. Friendly staff. Good pricing. I got a Philly cheesesteak with onion rings. Onion rings was good well, not greasy or burnt. The Philly melted in you mouth. But be careful cause these Phillies come at you hot!! Ever bite was as good as the first one. I could see why this was highly recommended.

I love the cheesesteak here. Nice friendly service. It's a small place they do have outside seating. Just done come expecting fast service Monday thur Friday very busy at lunch time.

Best in PHX!! As a Philly transplant I was sure I'd never find a proper cheesesteak place - look no further. Simple menu, killer flavor, fast service and friendly faces. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu - it all tastes like home. 5/5, 10/10 if I could.
