BESHOCK Ramen - East Village

Beshock ramen delivers an exceptional dining experience with authentic flavors. The shio soup base had a mild homemade, comforting flavors that transporting you straight to Japan. The pork belly is perfectly cooked, offering a tender bite without being overly greasy. Egg was overly flavored to my liking but texture made it ok.One of the highlights is the pan seared gyoza with nice crunch outside, fresh and flavorful filling inside. Nagoya chicken is another standout, juicy and flavorful with sweet, peppery and savory sauce!The pork belly bun is my favorite surprise, it came as a lunch set--a perfect snack-sized treat that's easy to eat without making a mess. Soft pork chashu topped with crunchy garlic for an extra layer of deliciousness. Overall, every dish at Beshock is crafted with care, I would definitely be back on my next trip to San Diego!

Came here on a Saturday after comicon - such a great venue location however, parking is going to be a little difficult in this area. A special Comic-Con menu as in my pictures and the place was pretty full. it's a moderately loud but casual ambience. We sat at the bar and got seated very quickly, and the bartender is very attentive.-Service is quick and there is plenty of seating-Items were very fresh as such as the yellowtail that we shared-The fried chicken was a bit salty for me, but otherwise a good portion-The most unique thing that was the Ube drinks that were not overly sweet and more of a coconut base-highly recommend it. Very refreshing and even almost a dessert.Food was very filling so I definitely recommend coming here if you're hungry. I just wish we had more time to try the different sockets that they had which you can get a glass, a craft or a bottle! Fun place. Definitely will go back to this fun place!

Great service & lunch, it is within walking distance from my apartment! My favorite ramen is the black ramen & katsu chicken (instead of with the Chashu pork) lunch special with the pork buns.Tip: They have specialty ramen from time to time off the menu. So ask the server if there isn't a flyer on the table. :)Beshock has a fantastic Happy Hour even though it changed since I've been there a couple weeks ago. Beshock has more than just Ramen with a variety of appetizers, sushi, and bowls. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a bar with large sake menu. We started with the spicy tuna crispy rice, which was excellent and a tad spicy with jalepenos topped, and the shishito peppers that also had a kick to them. I ordered the sunset roll and my husband had the spicy miso ramen. The sushi was fresh and well presented. The spicy miso ramen wasn't spicy and had an interesting flavor that I can't exactlyPinpoint. The ramen itself was a bit thicker, almost like lo mein noodles. Service was good and they had a nice allergy list for all their menu items so it was easy to know if there were any items to avoid.

Quick and friendly service. Lots of tables and cool decor. The menu has lots of choices. We came hungry and left stuffed. The ramen broth was good and ingredients tasty. The sushi was fresh the hot pepper garnish was SPICY! The lettuce, tomato and red onions on the buns were weird to us. Maybe consider an Asian slaw or pickled daikon and carrots over hamburger toppings. Otherwise the bun dough itself was soft and cut if meat fine. Overall a great experience.

Service and ambiance are great! Spicy miso ramen was good! Lots of options other than ramen too.

This place was amazing!! We were seated almost immediately and every single staff member was so attentive to my group. I walked around the front entry area and I love the decor they have up as well as their merch. Interior design team did a great job.For food, I loved how expansive the menu was without being too overwhelming. I always try to order a place's signature dish as well as at least one thing I can't usually get anywhere else and my order did not disappoint. The sweetness and saltiness was evenly balanced out without one or the other being too overpowering.- Nagoya umami ramen: 9/10 creamy broth but could be a bit thicker- dirty fries: 9/10 I loved all the add-ons in there but it felt like it only covered the top layer- chicken karaage: 9/10 good crispiness but could use more flavoring I visit San Diego often and I will make sure that this is a stop on my list again next time!

Absolutely AMAZING! My husband found this place and we decided to give it a try. Parking is a bit tricky but not too difficult since it was kind of an early dinner. Nice restaurant with plenty of seating.. our waitress Monica, was an absolute gem she was great, attentive and super friendly. Monica made our dinner so much better, we loved her and her service. The food came out pipping hot, portions were huge and everything was good. This ramen spot is an absolute must try. Food was 10/10 service was 100/10 and drinks were 10/10.. we will definitely be coming back, especially because I forgot my hat there.. Monica deserves a raise!

Came here during comic-con because we needed a hot meal finally and loved that they were doing a cute anime-themed ramen promotion. Food came out quickly, generous portions and everything was delicious. Didn't take a photo of the ramen but we did one of the promotional Naruto themed ramen and their Chicken Katsu Curry ramen - both were wonderful. Great service as well despite the convention crowds! 10/10 will definitely be back.

Met up with a friend here at BESHOCK Ramen, and it came highly recommended. Parking can be challenging, but we got lucky with street parking. The staff was super friendly and ensured we had water or anything else we needed. Ambiance was casual and spacious.As for the food, everything was delicious. We started with fries, calamari which were both crispy and tasty. Also started with really good takoyaki.I ordered the Black Ramen. All the ingredients blended perfectly. It was the right amount of Ramen. The best part was the seasoned egg.I definitely recommend BESHOCK Ramen for an all-around good experience, delicious food, and customer service.
