Berwyn Chicken

The chicken sandwich is ENORMOUS!Very tasty. The fries that come with the sandwich are THE BEST EVER!!I was delighted with everything!

Walked into this place very excited to try after seeing them on social media. Walked in, the cashier looked up at us and immediately looked back down to his phone without a greeting. There were no other customers inside for your reference. My mother then spoke saying "Hello, is there a menu?" Once again, the cashier looked up from his phone, said nothing and looked back down. We walked out. Customer service is so important and so is word of mouth. I would think they would be more welcoming especially with NO customers.Also, for this to be a place specializing in fried chicken. It didn't smell like anything.

I was so exited to try this place out just moving in within 2blocks got the hot chicken yes it's large but it's dry and burnt and very greasy you can taste the butterVery disappointed Had to press it with napkins once I got home Spent a lot too Ordered quart of lemonade very sweet had to add water Fries were good Coleslaw is very watery threw out Shrimp and strips were good Will not be going back unless someone pays for me

Place is decent! First time trying it out. The staff that took our order was okay - felt a bit off with him. I had the fried chicken wings and fried shrimp with side of tator tots. It was good. My husband had something similar but asked for mashed potatoes. Ours was a take out order, so when we got home he was upset that there were no mashed potatoes after he ordered it. We were already home and did not want to drive 15 min back to ask for mashed potatoes. We wouldve given 4 stars had not the mashed potatoes was not missed. This place has a small indoor eating area where you order and an outside patio.

Surprisingly, this place was pretty good. My expectations weren't too high walking in and I see that as the entrance (picture attached). At first, I thought they were closed, they boxes weren't even neatly stacked up. BUT other than that, the food was one of the better chicken places in Berwyn. I've been wanting to try this place since it opened, not too long ago, and I finally gave it a go & even convinced my family to try it after my good food experience. It's a nice local spot that I plan on going to in the future as well. The service was ehh, nothing crazy nor not bad service either. Especially try the freshly squeezed lemonade! Very sugary but very high quality too, great mixer haha if you're in the area, this place wouldn't hurt to give a try! I would recommend at least once. Personal Review: 7.9/10

This place did not disappoint!!! Your meal will have more than enough for later as well!!! And the sauce ohmygod so good!!!

Love this place! I've had the chicken wing dinner with a side of mac and cheese. I've also had the fried shrimp and the chips. The chicken was very tasty. I wasn't a huge fan of the mac and cheese. My favorite item is the fried shrimp and the freshly made chips. The shrimp are HUGE! They are perfectly fried and well seasoned and come with your choice of sauce but they are so well seasoned you really don't need sauce. The chips are nice and thin cut and light and crispy. Although it's called Berwyn Chicken, I'm totally hooked on the shrimp!

Really delicious fried chicken from this hole in the wall in Berwyn/Oak Park. Leftovers were even really good 2 days later after being refrigerated, which was a bonus. Highly recommend.

Fried chicken, tater tots, and maybe a dessert. Let me be clear, the chicken breasts are soooooo good. That means the chicken sandwich is as well. Th Chix sandwich has a BIG piece of chicken that is way bigger than the bun. Crispy, juicy and delicious. These are the two reason I come here. Really only one downside. When it's busy, the wait can be over 15 minutes, even for small orders. That's the trade off when everything is made to order fresh. Nothing is sitting under a heat lamp waiting for you to purchase.

Amazing colossal fried shrimp. Fried chicken, chicken Pierre, lemonade and giant chicken sandwich are all tasty and affordable. Portions are generous.
