Bernini's Bistro & Bar

Wonderful. We stopped in for happy hour and had the caprese, mussels, foccaccia, and shared a small salad. The presentation was beautiful and the food quality- benissimo! The service was friendly and attentive and the cocktails were delicious. The outdoor seating with the firepit was awesome too. We started out in the dining room but there was a large group that were pretty loud, so we opted for the heated patio and were glad that we did. Can't wait till my next visit.

I brought 2 friends to this restaurant this past week to celebrate a birthday. We sat on the patio which was very nice. The food was delicious as it has been before. Pre-Covid they offered a yummy olive/hummus appetizer which has now changed to olive/cheese. After a bit of discussion the server understood that I wanted to CHANGE from cheese to hummus not add another dish. The server , an older lady with long blonde hair (i think she could be part owner?) was not very attentive or friendly. The restaurant was not crowded when we first arrived so it wasn't a case of too little help. Maybe she was having a bad night as she has served me before and I was friendly. . This time she didn't check and see if we liked the food, she didn't offer dessert or ask about splitting checks or really anything after bringing the food. I will return to this restaurant because I enjoyed the meal, hopefully she will be a bit more attentive.

Berninis lemonade was amazing so refreshing ...order beef carpaccio minus the egg never heard of egg on carpaccio before ...it was delicious...one of my favorites for lunch

We had a great experience at berninis during a busy Friday night. The place was packed but we got seated in a timely fashion. We started out with some ahi tataki and also tried out the chicken Milanese. The food was so delicious, we will definitely be coming back. Our server Dylan was super helpful, offering us recommendations and checking on us frequently. The atmosphere, service, and food here is top notch so I had to drop a review. Well done guys.

Amazing amazing Italian food! We loved each entree. We ate family style so we were able to taste everything! You need to go here! Great food! Great service! E will go back!

Came here for date night. Got calamari for appetizer and pasta for main dish and some drinks. Theambience was pretty, service was great. Thank you!

Completely bad experience with the hostesses we were waiting for minutes and we were disregarded they assisted others before us, we were waiting for awhile and they sat several costumers before us, ended up leaving because after I approached them to ask them about it the status of our table they said they were still working on it.

The food and drinks were fantastic. We enjoyed the Braised Beef Short Ribs and Chicken Milanese, along with a great Tuesday wine special. Karen provided excellent service, offering helpful recommendations and even surprising us with a birthday dessert. The outdoor seating was awesome.

I've seen this place over the years but always seem to pass it by until now. What a pleasant surprise! Great food at reasonable prices and most attentive service on top of it all!

My Son and I decided to have Pasta for Dinner, so we drove to this place that I always saw in LA JOLLA when I'm having breakfast in the area. It's called "BERNINIS BISTRO".When we arrived we were seated at their nice patio as I requested on my reservation 'coz we have our dog "BamBam" with us. Upon receiving the Menu, I noticed that there are more selections on their Menu list at their restaurant than there is on their Online website. So we ordered the following: *MANGO MARGARITA *CALAMARI FRITTI *LINGUINI SHRIMP DIAVOLA - Garlic shrimp, chiles, roasted plum tomatoes, lobster broth, cream, and sherry.*MUD PIE - Mounds of coffee ice cream, crushed oreo cookies, chocolate ganache, and whipped cream.*THE PERFECT STORM - 4 lobsters tails, jumbo shrimps, smoke salmon, mashed potatoes layered over traditional cheese pizza, and topped with arugula.My husband is the one ended up ordering the pasta, the LINGUINI SHRIMP DIAVOLA, and it's tasted good, there was a nice amount of Shrimps on it.Me and my son shared the "PERFECT STORM PIZZA", it has 4 LOBSTER TAILS and SHRIMPS, SALMON, MASHED POTATOES, and JUICY LOBSTER MEATS! When this pizza came to our table, 2 families already stood up and asked if they could take a picture of it.This pizza is about a Large size, but my husband said that it was a medium size, I don't know which one it is, all I care is that this pizza was so good. This pizza was the most expensive PIZZA that I ever ate, it's a $120.00 pizza!!!!. Was it worth it? Yes it was, first when I try to carry it to my son's side it was so heavy! They used MASHED POTATO layered over traditional cheese pizza, and it has lots and lots of LOBSTER MEAT and , SALMON , JUMBO SHRIMPS, all over the pizza. The 4 LOBSTER TAILS STANDING on it were JUICY and FAT LOBSTERS!!! I remembered reading on the menu that it said the lobsters were stuffed with mozzarella, but all I saw were the JUICY MEATS OF LOBSTER! This pizza was so so so good! My Son and I only finished Half of it 'coz it was way too heavy to eat, there was plenty of seafood on this Pizza, so good! The calamari also had some Jumbo shrimps, and it was decently portioned and well seasoned. My Mango Margarita was just okay. For the dessert we had a Mud Pie, it's definitely shareable 'coz the portion was big, and I do like it 'coz it wasn't too sweet. The service from our Server was Excellent and all of the staff passing us greeted us or asked us how we were doing. The inside and outside felt nice and clean. The restaurant is also Pet Friendly! We are definitely going back again to dine in here, I want to try more foods from this place!
