The staff is really nice and accommodating.We ordered a 14" Black Forest Cake and it was Heavenly.The coffee is really good too.I side they have displays of fresh pastries, some frozen soups and sauces that can be reheated at home. They also have frozen brochen when can be baked at home. The store also has some German products for purchase.

Bernhards is a great place to come and get fresh baked goods. Hands down some of the best pretzels in Atlanta. Among the baked goods, they have several imported goods from all parts of Germany and some UK items which is a great relief since I don't have to bug family members to send me care packages. If you want to see something interesting, get yourself some Haribo gummie bears. Imported Haribo is better than the ones that come from the US/Mexico. The flavor is better, the colors are more natural. They don't have a place to eat inside anymore. They used to have a section a long time ago, but it seems that was removed a while back. It would be neat if they had some benches outside along the fence they got to the right though as I've gotten some of their sandwiches and ate them in my car, since there isn't really a place to sit. Highly recommend along with getting their Pretzel Eckt, which is pretzel dough folded like a crecent with layers of butter between. GET THIS.

I try their hot dog wrapped in pretzel dough and it was good. I tipped it in mustard as I ate. Their country rye bread is very good.

I have driven by the place a couple of times over the years, but never stopped in. Honestly, I could have kept driving. The main reason I was disappointed was the price. Yelp said $6.45, but their website said $7.45 for a Tuna Salad sandwich, so I'm just scratching my head as to why, even at $7.45, two Tuna Salad sandwiches came up as $20. I called in the order, so maybe the lady I spoke to didn't tell me that the type of bread you get is extra, if that is a think. I got the white sourdough bread, but still. Additionally, if a sandwich is going to be $10 a piece, I would like it to actually fill me up. Even with two sandwiches I was still hungry. Small portions on the bread, like the bread should not be the sandwich, what's inside should be, at least in my opinion. Unlikely to go back, the cost to portion size ratio just isn't there for me. Cute shop though, and the people there were really friendly.

The pastries, sausages and baked goods are as German/ Austrian/ Swiss as it gets. No one in the US makes what they do as authentically as Bernhard's. The fruit danish, schnecken, bee-stings, you simply don't see and they are absolutely perfect!

Nice service and inviting environment; however, the food was a meh for me. Order the slice of German chocolate cake and a butter pecan cookie. The cookie was so dry and tasteless & the cake batter tasted more like a store bought boxed cake mix.

Cute little bakery with excellent service. I bought Irish soda bread and a loaf of Germans rye wheat bread.Just love this homey bakery

Really good stuff here, they put love in their food. Highly recommend, get extra because you're going to want more!

I stopped by this place as I was driving through Marietta. Nothing fancy but it have some great fresh baked bread and sandwiches that I really enjoyed. I got this multigrain loaf of bread for 50% off and it lasted for days. The tuna sandwich was delicious and it was fun looking through their little store that sells all kinds of treats and meats.Also the cashier was super friendly and very helpful in recommending items! I will definitely be back.
