Benny's Burgers & BBQ

My wife and I stopped by for some grub, not really expecting anything. From the moment we walked in the staff was so kind and courteous and period you could tell it was a pleasure for them to answer your questions. After I had finished ordering my food I was grabbing some, hot peppers and the owner noticed that I liked spicy food. Any recommended making the Korean barbecue burger a little bit spicier for me and that he would take care of it if I wanted. I took him up on his offer and the burger came out perfectly. All of the flavors Complemented each other and the bun was so soft and delicious. My wife got the Hawaiian burger and that too was a tasty experience. To top it all off being a Chicago guy myself, I ordered a Chicago dog and I gotta tell you... It was better than a lot of Chicago dogs I've ever had. I will definitely be returning to this joint so that I can have another delicious burger and get a chance to say hello to Benny!I think what really sold me beyond the taste of the food, was how friendly the owner was and how easy he was making conversation. He even came outside to check on my wife and I and see whether or not I liked his spicy suggestion and then even stayed for another five or 10 minutes to just chitchat.

Update:Returned recently for a Chicago Dog and found it to be everything I expected in a Chicago Dog and was just like the pictures, although I didn't see signs assuring me that they are using the expected Vienna brand, so if they are, they should make that more prominently known since that is a big selling point. The mushroom appetizer was tasty too--not greasy and was juicy inside.Around holiday time in 2023, they made the place a little festive with some decorations which was cute, and I accompanied my friend but I just had a soda since I had already eaten at home, but she had a burger with peppers and onion and cheese and loved it. Since I was just sipping my soda, I had lots of time to observe the caring staff and their interactions with the customers (including Benny himself) which was nice to see.

I tried a cheeseburger combo today. $14. For a simple cheeseburger, average fries and a fountain drink. Service was average. OK for a quick fast food burger, nothing special.

Its awesome!!! Wings are always great, Burgers are always on point, customer service is top notch. Anytime I am training with a group it is my go to for the crew. I've never heard of anyone having a bad experience. My coworker couldn't figure out what to get and they recommended the ribs. He was not sold but it was one me so he said why not. It made him download Yelp to give them a review. I got a double with cheese and fried mushrooms It was great. Ranch is top notch. The workers were awesome and joined our jokes. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone. It is a great burger spot, but honestly everything on the menus is great!!!!

This place is forever the best burger place in town. The pastrami burger is amazing. This time I tried the Korean tacos and that spice level was beautiful. And who doesn't love fries & a shake. You gotta check this place out.

I will start by saying that burgers are probably one of my top foods to eat, and Benny's does not disappoint! Absolutely loved the Spicy Mango Burger and would definitely order it again. Everything about the burger was delicious, and the uniqueness of mango on a burger is great. Perfect combination of sweet and spicy. I would definitely order it again but add lettuce and onion to it just to have a little crunch. The fries were good, just wish a little bit more seasoning was added. Service was very quick, probably took about 5 min to receive my burger after ordering and the place was full inside on a Friday evening. Would definitely come back again to try the Korean Burger.

Great place! When you walk in you just know it's going to be good. My husband had a double cheeseburger plain with fries and I ordered a polish dog with peppers, onions and mustard. Loved the polish dog!

The restaurant is clean. Service was fast, and the restaurant was busy. The food, was not my favorite. The bun was delicious, but there was no flavor in anything else. I could not tell that I had a pickle, tomato or onion on the burger because all of those things had no separate or defined flavor. My tongue only got mayo and bun flavoring in every bite. I would have enjoyed this way more had the toppings had more ummpf. The burger kind of reminded me of BK because of the amount of mayo that was added to the burger. The fries we got looked like the end of the bag fries. Or like hey, here are all the leftovers fries that we were about to throw out, before you ordered.. onion rings were crunchy but the onions inside had no flavor. I'm willing to give them another try, but perhaps not with a burger.

The staff is friendly and helpful! The burgers are amazing, the bread/buns melts in your mouth, the fried side options are extensive, I've been here twice now and I love 9 hours away! I would definitely make a point to visit again. Southwest burger, make it a double and it's perfect! The onion rings were better than the cauliflower and the chili fries are evil and delicious

Been a handful of times all have been great!But this last time food wasn't good, it was barely warmed, burgers were okay, but fries were cold and dry, I like supporting small businesses so I'll keep supporting them.
