I drive out of my way to come here.I literally just come this this part of the UTC mall for the Special Boba Milk Tea. It's really good when it's good. I've had 2 out of 20 times where the boba wasn't cooked right as obviously that is a bummer BUT all other times I've been here it's been AMAZING. The tea flavor really shines through and the milkiness is the perfect amount of refreshingly creamy!Line, not ideal. But the drinks are so good it's worth the wait, to an extent. I've learned ordering online in advance works the best for me especially since I'm usually running errands and not trying to spend a lot of time at the mall. I wish I could say I've ventured out and tried other drinks but I've only got the special boba milk tea 10/10 & the jasmine milk tea 8.5/10The fruit drinks look soooo good but when I come I'm always in the mood for a creamy milk tea. One of the best tea spots in town. Definitely better than wushuland and happy lemon which are at other ends of the mall. With that said please don't come here as I don't want to wait in a bigger line. Thanks

While we were waiting for our taiyakis and ube ice cream from Somisomi, my sister-in-law walked over to BenGong's Tea (right across from Somisomi) to see what they have. I've never heard of them until now. They have a location at Ontario Mills so I'll be heading there soon LOL.Anyway, I ended up walking over here, too. The first thing I smelled was a very strong aromatic tea scent! I knew we were at a good place to try some new tea drinks. They have a good selection of different drinks like boba milk tea, cheese foam tea, fresh fruit tea, milky cloud tea, yakult tea, milk tea, BenGong's signature, cheese slush, sparkling tea, original tea, and seasonal limited tea... now that's a lot of tea types LOL. It's a good thing they place each drink under its appropriate type.1 Mango Pomelo Sago - very yummy, full of mango, pomelo, and sago, but too small... I need a larger size cup LOL2 Passion Fruit Sparkling Tea - very tasty and sparkling per my eldest daughter1 Burnt Brown Sugar Boba - very smooth and rich per my youngest daughterStaff was very pleasant. Service was a tad slow, but they were extremely busy. They have this neat tree of thoughts for customers to write down whatever they want and hang it up on the tree. The card has a beautiful drawing on one side of it. I wrote mine and hung it up... I'm not sharing my thought here... it's personal... you'll have to go to the tree and find it LOL. It's just a very fun thing to do. Thank you BenGong's Tea!There was also a vendor in the back of the shop who was selling nails??? Not 100% sure because I didn't walk over there, but my sister-in-law did. I think she bought some for her coworker.Anyway, I would come back here again to try their other drinks when I'm in the Westfield University Town Center (UTC).

Quick pick me up while grabbing lunch in the shopping mall area. This is slightly hidden in the back side. The wait took a bit longer than expected since it wasn't not that busy. I went with the Regular Golden Sesame Milk Slush because I love sesame and had to try it. It was very creamy/milky which was nice but I do wish it was a bit more slushy. Overall, it was a refreshing drink but will try something else next time I visit.

I don't know why the overall review is so low for this place because I really enjoyed my drink here. I got the golden sesame drink and it was nutty and balanced. Docked a point for the small size of the drink and service that was bordering on unfriendly. There are a lot of other options for tea at this mall, like Happy Lemon, Wushiland, and The Alley, and I actually like those spots, too. I would still revisit this tea spot and possibly try the mango sago drink.

The drinks were so good, I cant remember the names but they were good. The staff were nice but did talk to each other as I was ordering. The space is really nice. I think the store was still in soft opening mode when I went but I will go again next time I'm at UTC.

The drink options here range from standard to very unique, and all delicious and true to the flavors advertised. The Osmanthus Rice Milk Tea was my favorite and was like nothing I've tried elsewhere. The Mango Pomelo Sago was a perfect snack, very sweet with good balance of ingredients. The Orange Jasmine tea I ordered with 0 sugar and thought it was a perfect midday refresher for anyone wanting a more mild drink.Nice location with pretty decor and helpful staff! Drinks were ordered quickly and average wait time for a boba spot.

Bengong is one our favorites in Irvine and this one was just as good. We love the red bean sago and the peach oolong with the cream top. Great atmosphere and clean looking restaurant. Seemed like a great option for the students.

Tried this tea shop at UTC. It's very far in the corner in front of somisomi. The line was out the door. Maybe about 10 people when we got there. Took about 30-40 minutes to reach the register. Inside, there's nothing. I wish they had some tables or seating to enjoy your drinks. There's not an area to comfortably stand and wait for your order. They had 3 baristas and one girl on the register taking orders and helping out sort the made orders. There was a girl in a black shirt, glasses, with airpods in who was being rude to her coworkers. What was she doing? No clue, but as a spectator she seems absolutely delightful to work alongside with... She was yelling and snapping fingers telling her baristas to fetch this, do that. If she's a supervisor... get a grip. It was embarrassing seeing your team struggle with you. Please reconsider how you speak to your team and guide them if you're sinking. That is your job! Please be mindful of how you execute it. The girl at the register is as very sweet. Quickly took our order once it was our turn. If I'm honest I don't remember what my drink (white) was but it was some kind of mint milk tea. I did not like it at all. I ended up giving it to my boyfriend and he enjoyed it. I ended up drinking his which was a ferro likechocolate slush drink. It was good but after drinking half of it I was over it and the sweetness became overwelminjg. It was something I'd order again but share instead of drinking all myself. The wait for drinks wasn't too long. Maybe 10 minutes which I'd say is average for a busy shop. Props to them for keeping up with the orders! Overall I have mixed feelings about this place. I'd probably only come back if the line isn't long, I know I want to try a new drink, and the baristas don't seem overwhelmed.

Came here after dinner looking for a sweet drink as dessert. I did like that the menu allows you to order different levels of ice and sweetness. The burnt creme brûlée milk tea and the Jasmine milk tea. There were no tables inside to sit down but this location is in the mall so the outside area has some other seating options.

Ordered the Special Boba Milk Tea. They use a certain cream to sweeten it and it's very rich! I ordered it at 75% sweetness and it was the perfect level of sweetness, anything more would be too sweet. I'd probably even try it at 50% sweetness. Drink came out after about 10 minutes, they were pretty busy. Inside there was no seating, but it looks like they could fit some seats in there.
