For the past few years, I've been rooting for the Uptown development to take off. Arguably one of the best locations in Atlanta due to the property being equidistant from the cores of Midtown and Buckhead AND it being a major transfer point along the MARTA rail system. For some reason (likely due to the high volumes of strip clubs and 24/7 happy ending spas) this area hasn't taken off... That is until Bene arrivedI heard glowing reviews from this platform and I LOVE Korean BBQ. I starved myself for most of the day just so I could properly enjoy this experience. A friend and I decided to split the beef & pork combo ($119) and we of course got bottle after bottle of deliciously sweet and slightly minacious soju (they have every flavor you can imagine here!!). I know that seems expensive - but you candidly get what you pay for. First, all the sides came out. I'm a true believer in judging a Korean BBQ place's merit by the attention to detail an establishment places on its sides. The accompaniments here were the tastiest I've had out of any KBBQ place I've ever been. Special attention has to be given to the tofu stew - which had such a rich depth of flavor I almost shed a tear. You get 3 salads here and all of them were conscientiously dressed and varied in both texture and flavor profiles, creating a gradient from slightly bitter to moderately sweet. These salads provided an excellent caesura between copious amounts of meat eating. Now to the headliner - THE MEAT. I said previously you get what you pay for here. The $120 combo left me breathless in terms of both the variety and quality of the meat (and matsutake mushrooms!!) This is honestly one of the first times I walked away from a KBBQ experience and felt blissfully satisfied and not like I was hanging on for dear life like a bloated tick. The beef they use was succulent and lean (not the cheap stuff that's speckled in fat and tendon that you'll get at those $45 AYCE places). The pork belly almost brought me to my knees in a state of either intense prayer or passionate lust. Since we're in the Lindbergh / Cheshire Bridge neighborhood, it was probably the latter. Bene is a destination restaurant in one of the most convenient areas to get to in all of metro Atlanta. I urge everyone to visit this sanctuary of meat and Soju.

Really wanted to LOVE this place because I LOVE Korean bbq and was so excited to try out a new spot outside of Duluth. Here's my breakdown on why I felt like I had to leave such a low star review: For starters the price of the set we ordered was $329.99 all beef to serve 4-5 people. We had 3 people and ate almost all of the meat. The meat quality was not bad and they had a great selection of cuts included, but for the price of it... I would have rather gone to kangs kitchen or 9292, you can get sets there for the same quantity and quality at a much lower price. The banchans were disappointing and dishes such as rice, stew, corn cheese, and egg soufflé were all an additional cost. Again, I just do not feel the cost was justified. Our servers were great and the interior was aesthetically pleasing, but I don't think I would visit again.

I've visited Bene Korean BBQ twice for lunch, and both times have been great. The restaurant's elegant ambiance, with its minimal yet classy decor, sets a refined tone.Service was consistently excellent during both of my visits. I've particularly enjoyed the Dol-Sot Bibimbap with Spicy Pork ($14.99). The dish had a vibrant mix of fresh vegetables, and the spicy sauce provided a satisfying kick. I've also enjoyed the Chicken Bulgogi Box ($13.99) and the Korean Fried Chicken ($11.99). The chicken was juicy and flavorful in both of these entrees. My partner absolutely loves the Galbi Lunch Box ($18.99). The beef short ribs were perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection. All of our entrees were accompanied by a hearty soup, a refreshing salad with a wonderfully sweet dressing, and three flavorful side dishes.Personally, I think compared to the other options in Atlanta, Bene is an awesome choice for Korean food.

My Korean friend said the Korean food in Atlanta tastes better than LA. I had to give it a try. Parking was easy in the garage (not validated). The restaurant is big and has a nice ambiance. The mgr (I think her name is Lisa) made me a really delicious lychee cocktail to my liking. We ordered a set for 2. They did not disappoint. The meat quality was good and they cook it for you. The executive chef came out and greeted us. He even opened the door for us when we left. Very courteous. We will return again when we come back to visit !

Bene is located on Main Street in Buckhead, next door to 26 Thai, Bene will be one of the many new restaurants coming to this block, maybe a new restaurant row. Walking into Bene you are immediately impressed with the size and the elegant surroundings. It had a dark but inviting atmosphere. The place is new so not crowded, we had the owner help with our choices for dinner. Korean BBQ, is cooked in front of you on your own private table. We had the beef and pork offerings. Everything was tasty, we also had a good bottle of wine at a reasonable price, no gauging!!!. We had a party of four, and everyone left satisfied. Definitely will return!!

I think I was the first customer this place had. I love Korean BBQ, and I waited around a year for this place to open up. Good long wait. Was it worth it? Well, the service was excellent. Very eager to please. The food was tasty, but I could only order a few apps rather than the repast I had my heart set on. Even as a foody fan of the cuisine, I can't really see me being a regular. It is exhorbitantly expensive. I think the cheapest BBQ offering was $120, and the high emd goes past $300. That kind of flat pricing will not work here. To survive, this restaurant has to adjust its model. Charge by the plate or by the head. This will accommodate curious walk-ins rather than scare them away. Also, have more diverse offerings. Finally, push the liquor and accept that it is the real money-maker in a joint like this, with the BBQ being something of a loss leader. Lots of luck to this establishment. I hope they can pivot.

Finally got to try this new elevated Korean Steakhouse in Buckhead! The meat was perfectly prepared, I tried cuts like the marinated galbi and tomahawk steak, and they are grilled to melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The butter shrimp is rich and flavorful, and the seafood pancake is a must-try, with its thick, crispy texture and generous portions of seafood, including oysters! Will definitely come back!

Stopped into Bene for dinner while in town. We noticed it was a new Korean Steakhouse and read about the quality of the food so we were excited to check it out. Allen greeted us enthusiastically and explained the menu thoroughly. It is on the pricier end, but if you're a person who enjoys quality meat, you'll be very happy! We chose the beef set for 2 people. It comes with 6 different beef styles. We also ordered the dol soy rice, buckwheat noodles, corn cheese, kimchi fried rice, and the soybean soup. They also include an unlimited selection of salads, fermented veggies, and kimchi. It felt like a full banquet for two queens! We thoroughly enjoyed every second of the experience and food. The staff cooks the meat for you and are always ready to replace the items that are unlimited (the meat is not unlimited). The ambiance is sexy, romantic, and the restaurant was very spacious with a full bar (they are awaiting approval for their liquor license). I love Korean bbq, but this was definitely a step above the regular experience. It's a great place to celebrate something special or go on a date.

The ambience was beautiful, clean, and classy. The food was delicious and authentic and high quality. But the price was more than reasonable. Service was great. The galbi lunch set was really good. Loved the smoky flavor in the grilled marinated ribeye. The veggie side dishes balanced very well with the ribeye. We also got the galbi tang lunch set, which has the bone-in ribeye broth and stone bowl rice. After we scouped the rice from the stone bowl, the server poured hot water to get the crusty rice at the bottom of the bowl which added another layer of flavor to the rice. The soup had depth and seasoned perfectly. It really hit the spot on a windy, cloudy day. We will definitely be back to try some of their BBQ ribeye and tomahawk steak.
