Bendita Cocina

Good food, great service, I will be back. My family chose bendita cocina for a pre-Easter dinner this year. Yelp reviews had me concerned for service and portion signs, but there were no issues. Everyone was happy with their food, service was attentive, we even made room for dessert. The only negative is a 20% service fee, it's never clear if these are a gratuity for the server or a fee that goes to the owner. I hope it goes to the server, as I never tip on top of service fees...

Nice and cute in a strip mall close to the cutting theatre in palatine. My friend and I stopped for a quick bite before a comedy show and enjoyed the food but the service slow as hell and we ended up missing 15 mins of the show. The sauce on calamari was very flavorful and delicious with hints of saffron., mussels were very sandy, not fun!The wines were pretty good and well paired with our seafood. I may come back if ever in the area.

We were in town to visit family and friends last week. Our friends recommended Bendita Cocina, so they made reservations and we met them there. The weather was perfect for sitting outside! I think everyone dining there that evening was eating outside. The service was a little slow, but in their defense, the servers had to come all the way outside to the side of the building via the front door. The breadsticks are amazing! Items ordered on our table: pollo al mattone (half of a pan seared chicken with veggies and toasted potatoes - delicious!) salmon a la narranja (very good!) and old fashioned spaghetti and meatball. We highly recommend Bendita Cocina!

I recently dined at this restaurant, and the culinary experience was nothing short of delightful. The food was delicious, showcasing a commendable commitment to quality and flavor. However, I was taken aback when, upon arriving, I was informed at the front counter that they do not accept online reservations despite having placed one. This discrepancy left me a bit disappointed. Despite this hiccup, the overall dining experience, thanks to the delectable dishes, deserves a solid four stars.

Called to ask for wait time, they acted as if they are very busy, and asked to make reservations. We were there in 20min. When we checked in, the restaurant was empty, one table outdoors and one table inside was occupied. Ambiance is fine. Very cleanBread sticks - fresh and very soft.Salad- the best thing to have there. Very well made. Only reason if i visit againPizza- bland, and extremely cheesy.

Food was AMAZING! We tried a few appetizers, the ribeye, gnocchi, and pizza. Didn't have a single bad bite of food. They also bring you breadsticks. We sat outside and it was super nice. The service was very fast and their recommendations were great. Highly recommend!

My husband and I were very excited to try this place for our anniversary, but it ended up being a bit of a disappointment.First of all the service was very, very slow. There was only one waiter for at least 10 tables inside as well as a handful of outside tables. After we were seated it took him close to 20 minutes to greet us and take our order. We ended up putting our entire drink and food order in because we didn't want to risk him not coming back again soon. Probably because he was so busy, he was not very welcoming or friendly.My husband tried to order the IPA they had on the menu, but they were out, so he tried a margarita from the menu which they were also out of. He ended up getting sangria which was ok. We had high hopes for the meal as we really enjoyed our appetizer, choripan con salsa criolla. The salsa topping was fresh and delicious. We got two entrees to share, the paella al azafran con frutos de mar and the Argentinan style steak with chimichurri. Unfortunately the entrees fell a little flat of our expectations. The steak was a little over cooked from the medium we ordered, the amount of chimichurri was skimpy, and the potatoes and veggie sides were unexciting. We enjoyed the paella more than the steak and it did have quite a bit of shrimp and calamari, but we both felt we've had other paella we enjoyed more.The decor inside was a mishmash of styles and seemingly random items that I didn't feel fit in an upscale restaurant.Overall for the price point I definitely expected more in pretty much every aspect.

Food is amazing!! From Empanadas to Fettuccini Alfredo, White Pizza and the Chimichurri is 100%

Wonderful spot with excellent food and service. I had the Argentinian pot roast which was excellent. We went with another couple and all 4 of us loved the place. Try the empanadas too! Will be back.
