If you are looking for one of the more solid AYCE barbecue restaurants in the Seattle area, I can let you know that your search can come to a pause as Bellwether BBQ&Grill is a great place to fulfill that want! I've been to Bellwether a couple of times, usually on Fridays, and I feel the service quality has gone up a bit every time.Bellwether is located in Chinatown, and parking can be difficult depending on where and how much you are willing to pay for parking - everything from streeside to parking at Uwajimaya (you'll have to get some groceries to make it worthwhile). There is a free parking garage underneath the restaurant, though it definitely fills up quickly and is a bit cramped. You can get on the waitlist at the entrance of the restaurant when you first walk in. Service is fast - there might be a wait if the restaurant is especially busy, but usually you'll get a table quickly even when there are 2-4 parties ahead of you on the waitlist. The AYCE is $40 - which I think is a good deal if you have a large capacity, as it opens up the base menu with additional appetizers and desserts at the bar. Service is continuously good throughout the whole experience, unlike other AYCE establishments that I have been to, where service continuously dips after your 2nd order. The appetizer bar has chicken wings, fruit, soup, and many other options you can get while waiting for your order. The quality of the meats is good, and the grill itself is powerful - you can get many orders of meat in during your visit as your meat cooks in minutes. One thing that I would really recommend is the spicy lamb shank - flavored strongly with szechuan spice, tender on the inside, and slightly crispy on the outside. We ordered this thing almost every round as it was so freaking good. Also, you get a complimentary small ice cream cup at the end when you are paying your bill, which is a nice touch! In terms of price, quantity, and price vs other restaurants in the area, I personally think that Bellwether does it best. Quality of the meats is good, flavor and service is fast, and the flavor is great. I can definitely recommend Bellwether BBQ&Grill as a great place in the Seattle area to engage in a BBQ AYCE!

My girlfriend and I come here all the way from Parkland, this has got to be one of the best AYCE KBBQ we've been to! It's a bit pricey, however the quality of the meats are spectacular. The service is amazing as well. You're greeting by professional staff, and their waiters are very nice. As for the restaurant itself, everyone seems to be enjoying it overall. There is a self-serve bar where you can get your own banchan and other appetizers. Will definitely be coming back here as soon as we can!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is bright, clean and fun. Thankfully it doesn't have the smokiness like some Korean BBQ restaurants. We went to the restaurant early, maybe around 5:45pm, on a Sunday and we were promptly seated. Not too long after being seated we were served banchan. The servers are very nice and will come around to change your grill pan as needed. We ordered the regular meats. Our favorites were the prime Black Angus beef, marinated short ribs, marinated bulgogi, and the Black Angus ribeye. To our surprise the Black Angus ribeye was an actual thin cut ribeye steak and not paper thin slices of ribeye. We also liked the fried buns. Luckily we ordered those after we were finished with the meats or else we would have gotten full from eating too many fried buns. There is also a buffet table with soup, a taro dessert soup, fruits, fried chicken wings, fries, egg rolls, cheese corn and dessert cakes. I think there were a few other items that I forgot. You have to try the cheese corn. It was tasty. It comes in little aluminum plates that you cook on the grill. Be sure not to leave it on the grill too long or the bottom of the cheese corn will be burned.Bellwether BBQ & Grill is located in Chinatown. Parking will be an issue especially on the weekends.

This is now the 2nd kbbq restaurant that I have been to that has a buffet of sides and accompaniments. I'm so glad I was able to get as many items as I was, especially because there were kids in our dining group. Some of the items available at that bar include: fruit, fries, dumplings, lettuce, chicken wings, etc. I had my lil one with me as I went down the line and she was more than happy to let me know what items she wanted to give a try. Our waitress was nice and all but the one that helped us the most was probably one of the expediters or back of house or kitchen staff runners. He not only spoke Spanish but he was very helpful. He was shocked we spoke Spanish so fluently. He didn't need to say it. I knew he was surprised because we were Asian-American. I explained that I worked in an industry where speaking Spanish was very helpful. So, there was that. We had nice, short conversations with him as he'd come and deliver things to our table a few times in that night. We were seated quickly and our banchan was brought out faster than anything. Our waitress was friendly and social but things were on a different level because of ou newfound Spanish speaking runner/server.

Moving to Seattle from California was a culture shock. I went from a place with all you can eat kbbq on every other street to a place with no good all you can eat kbbq for miles. Luckily, Bellwether opened and it rivals the quality of some of the best kbbq places in California! I feel like this place is more of a Chinese bbq than Korean bbq which I liked since the flavors were distinct compared to regular kbbq. The variety of meats is a bit less than some other places but the quality of the meats is amazing. My favorite meats are the American wagyu, the marinated short rib, and the pork jowl because I love fatty meats. The Wagyu was super tender and had good marbling. The marinated short rib was extremely flavorful. And the pork jowl had a nice snappy texture. One of my favorite dishes was the crispy lamb shank which surprised me since I don't like lamb; however, the lamb shank here had no gaminess and it tasted like beef. The skin was crispy and fatty and the meat had that sticky silky texture since shanks have a lot of collagen. I would come here just to eat unlimited lamb shanks it was that good.

I love this all-you-can-eat BBQ place! The $39.98 price is a great deal considering the quality of meat we get. My favorites are the American Wagyu and ribeye, always fresh with great flavor after a quick grill. I can't get enough of the marinated short rib and premium beef belly either, although watch out for those flames when grilling the beef belly! If you love grilled seafood, don't miss out on the grilled fish fillet(spicy), it's already cooked, so there is no need to grill it again. It's served with a perfect sauce coating on the fried fish. Additionally, this dish comes with some sliced grilled potatoes. I love putting the potato slices back on the grill to make them extra crispy. The marinated octopus and garlic mussels are another must tries. The garlic mussels are rich and flavorful with that blend of butter and garlic. And the octopus with spicy sauce delivers just the right kick.Despite the limit of ordering only four items at a time, the service here is fantastic. And the food bar is stocked with all different appetizers and veggies. The staff is always friendly and quick to help with anything, including changing grill pans. Plus, the little birthday singing performance from the staff adds a special touch to the overall dining experience.

This is an Ayce place. We did premium ayce, which has the wagyu beef. The place does not have a lot of parking underground, so you need to be creative to look for street parking. The waiter only allows 4 orders at a time. They offer an awesome corn cheese by their food station. Also, It is hard to waive /call for a waiter since they're always moving around. I liked their kalbi marinated beef. You can also ask for seafood with two different option for the marinade. We also ordered shrimp and mussels.

If I didn't check, I would've never noticed. But it's ruined my experience for mussels, mussels with parasitic peacrabs.. Food menu changed, they became stingy with the meat cuts and portion sizes. Ambiance got toned down, they added some chicken curry soup and premium gets you Wagyu which isn't worth it because like I said meat cut is so thin now and stingy .

Bellwether, a Korean BBQ spot that offers an extensive all-you-can-eat experience. The standard menu boasts a diverse selection of beef, pork belly, and seafood, while the premium option, priced at $45.98, elevates the dining experience with offerings such as American Wagyu, ribeye, beef tongue, and short rib.The exceptional quality of the meat, particularly the ribeye, garlic beef, and short ribs, sets Bellwether apart from other KBBQ places in Washington. Despite the American Wagyu being a bit tough, the overall buffet experience is remarkable. Diners can personalize their meal by selecting from an array of enticing side dishes at the buffet table, such as corn cheese, tteokbokki, fried chicken, egg rolls, and more. While the side dishes receive a fair rating, the highlight of our meal is the complimentary ice cream, available in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry flavors. This addition contributes to the overall satisfaction of the dining experience. In summary, with its exceptional meat quality, diverse offerings, and the opportunity to customize your meal with delightful side dishes, Bellwether stands out as one of the KBBQ spot in Washington state.

This restaurant shares the same owner as Happy Lamb Hot Pot and is right next door. The service was as good as any other KBBQ spot, but I really enjoyed the ambiance. I think this place is more similar to yakiniku than KBBQ with the grill type. The grill type made the flavor of the meat more smoky, which I love. The meat also cooked quickly, but we had to be careful to not let it burn. It was really difficult to grill the marinated meat, since it stuck to the grill (and it was really salty) so we didn't order more of it. All the other meats were really good though! There was also a side bar (sadly not pictured) that provided some veggies, fruit, little desserts cakes, and my most favorite part: corn cheese! My friends and I also loved the side dishes that were set out, we even asked for some extra cucumbers! Having BBQ with friends at Bellweather was a great experience, and we were also given ice cream at the end of our meal. I would definitely want to come here again, and try hot pot next door too!
