The pastries were pretty good. I liked the cheesey one I got and the strawberries and cream cookie too. The macaroon was also nice. The matcha however was probably the most poorly made I've had, which was a huge bummer. The powder was just kinda dumped in and barely stirred. The ambiance was fine and I sat on the patio for a moment to eat one of my pastries. The service was kinda mixed. The first person who was helping me while I was deciding punched out and left without communicating that they didn't take my order. The other person didn't realize, but eventually asked if I was waiting on something. He took my order when I communicated the misunderstanding, and apologized with a free macaron, which I appreciated. I might come back for bakery but not a drink.

Super disappointed. Been coming for years cause their mushroom soup and teas are good, this time however ordered a bowl of soup for 11$ and was given a 8oz cup of soup. When staff was asked to clarify they said they 8oz was considered a bowl. Left feeling ripped off. Will say tea is still solid.

Definitely drop by Belle Epicurean Bakery for the absolute cutest French bakery! The ambiance is very cute and the perfect place for a coffee date! It gets pretty busy and it's a little small so definitely get there a bit earlier on the weekend. I got there around 10AM on a Saturday and had to wait in line for a little but was still able to grab a seat. There's also parking in the back of the store so that's very convenient or there's street parking all around. They do both to-go and for-here orders. I was catching up with a friend so we ordered for-here. Since it was a Saturday, I thought I'd treat myself to a latte. I ordered a hot latte with toffee syrup. To be honest, I couldn't taste the flavor but maybe it was just light. I do love strong coffee/espresso so it still tasted super good and perfectly warm. They also have an assortment of fresh bakery items. I got a lemon almond croissant which they kindly warmed up for me. It was super tasty, I'd highly recommend! The highlight of this place is the service and hospitality. The lady helping us with our food order was so sweet and engaging and just a delight to talk with! She let us know we could order our drinks at the register and she'll bring us out everything. She even recommended we grab a table while we were waiting in line since it was starting to get busy. Overall it was an absolute wonderful experience of atmosphere, food, and service! Highly recommend!

Pretty large, clean cafe. Very quick service, probably the best Almond Croissant I've ever had, I assume that's why it was $7.

Such a cute cafe and bakery next to the arboretum! The owner is so cute and welcoming. She has a warm presence ! They have delicious baked goods and pastries - sweet & savory. And also French sandwiches. Coffee, teas, & drinks are available. One thing I suggest is putting a drink menu up because I was unsure of what kind of drinks I was able to order. I was told they can pretty much make anything.

Solid 3 stars. 3 stars for coffee. 3.5 stars for pastry. 2.5 stars for service. Came here on a Saturday morning. I guess we got here before the rush. There was only two of us in the store at the time. Maybe I'm used to other places and their health laws, but this place allows all dogs inside the cafe while people were waiting for their drinks and pastries. I saw at least 3 different dogs come and go while I was here. We ordered a latte, cold brew and two pastries (almond croissant and ham and cheese). The ham and cheese came on a plate right away and so did my cold brew. The latte came a little bit after. The almond croissant was a no show for about 20 mins. We initially waited inside but then it got crowded so we went outside. Still nothing, I went back in to ask and the person who took my order had no clue what I was talking about. Someone else ended up grabbing me a croissant in a bag. The cold brew was just ok. It depends on your preference but this one has a dark and bitter taste. It was also very acidic. The ham and cheese croissant was good, flakey and fresh. Warning the thing was extreme oily from being so BUTTERY. Like my whole hand looked l used butter as a hand lotion. The ham inside was tasty too but a small rolled up slice. Might come back for a pasty but will pass on the coffee next time.

In my mind, Belle Epicurean is a classy yet causal neighborhood spot where I'm going to get an elevated cafe experience. In reality, this past weekend, we visited a supercasual spot with a mediocre cafe experience. Service was meh. Putting aside the lack of a hello and goodbye/ thank you, none of the the staff members could tell us what type of sausage was in a breakfast sandwich... lucky he eats most meats, so it was more out of preference instead of allergies or religious reasons. We were told someone would bring our food to us, which didn't happen. So we discovered our no longer got food when picking up our drinks. His breakfast sandwich was okay... the sausage didn't have much flavor and he thinks it was chicken, which isn't his fave. My onion and cheese tart was very cheesy and had good flavor. The twice baked almond croissant was hard on the end and cake like in the middle... perhaps from the second baking. It was good and is the only thing we'd order again. My biggest disappointment with my tart, and with the whole dining experience, was the disposable serveware. Using a compostable knife to saw through something you want to enjoy eating (while not sawing through the plate) really doesn't elevate the experience. I appreciate that the items were compostable... yet, they are still single use and there was no designated compost bin. Hopefully they'll bring back the great cups and plates that they used to use... it will save money in the long run, and the limited resources we have on this planet.

Decent place to grab a quick bite. You can sit inside or outside and they have frozen entrees to take out that you can heat in your oven at home. Baked goods were tasty. Overall a good place to get a fast meal on the weekend.

This place was really cute! I came here after going on a long walk through the arboretum. I was pretty hungry for lunch so i went with the turkey baguette sandwich. I also had a matcha latte. The bread was very good and I enjoy the sandwich , which had a nice amount of thinly sliced turkey and some savory spread. Unfortunately the matcha latte was a bit weak and seemed watery. Not as creamy as I would have liked. I also like that they have mini croissants so you can just get a small one instead of a big regular croissant. Since it's a French place, I had to try one! I would recommend their pastries as the croissant was perfectly flaky and buttery! The service was good! They brought my food and drink out to me.

My true test on a bakery/coffee shop is their hot chocolate and they have the best!! I go on my lunch break and the service is always quick and efficient:)
