Bella Vista Social Club & Caffé

Can't beat the location (ok maybe cliffhanger can). But the menu and location are a sophistication destination vacation all in one.

Was excited to try this place out but was a little disappointed that the food just tasted pretty bland. It's getting more expensive eating out so this place is not worth the hype and cost. The view of the ocean would have been the upside of the visit if it wasn't cloudy.The roast beef panini was basically a cold sandwich. Not grilled or if it was, it wasn't enough to even melt the cheese. The salad was better tasting but a bit pricey for the portion we got. Parking is also not free. You have to pay but it's only about $2/hr.

What a great spot to visit! We're from Chicago... we are picky about food. This hit the spot! It's a great location with indoor and outdoor seating. There was live music at 5:30pm today. The service was great from start to finish. This is definitely a hidden gem in an area where many places close early.

I work in the area and frequently walk here for lunch with my colleagues. I have consistently gotten the same thing for over a year now, and that is the social club panini. It is very delicious. The staff are very friendly, and I love their outdoor patio. My team and I have had several team meetings and activities on the patio of Bella Vista and their staff is very accommodating. You can also see partial views of Glider port from the patio, so coming here at sunset is really nice.

The cashier/food runner Rebecca is extremely insincere and frankly bad at her job. I asked for her name just so other customers can avoid an unpleasant interaction. The other employee were honestly very kind and helpful. I had asked Rebecca for a refill just to have her tell me to ask her coworker. She then proceeded to go behind the counter and flirt with the clearly uncomfortable male employee who ended up actually providing my group with satisfactory service. Food was amazing and the restaurant itself is very clean and well operated aside from the one unpleasant employee. I won't be giving one star because everything else made up for it.

It's unfortunate Bella Vista doesn't validate parking (the huge lot in front of it is controlled by UCSD) - not so much due to cost, but because apparently I am not particularly bright and cannot for the life of me figure out how the pay machines work so must resort to trying to find an empty space on the super packed street (FYI lunch companions, this is why I'm always late)!That said, this is a super chill spot for hanging out, especially when the weather is warm and/or there's live music on the patio. Service is casual and can be spotty, but the food is pretty tasty for an office park resto - I recommend the gnocchi with your choice of protein and sauce. The cocktails are a little watered-down, which is not a bad thing if you still have half a workday left but not so good if you're done and trying to get your happy hour on. ;)

We went for a social event and had a taste of several snacks and tapas. Like cheese fries, flat bread, ...All of them were tasty. I only took pictures of the hummus and pita cuz it was my first time trying Mediterranean food. Even I'm not a fan of raw carrots and pepper, they went well with the creamy hummus, also the pita bread was soft and fluffy.It was a weekday evening and there was a even a live band. Although not so many customers around, we all had a joyful time thanks to their chill music and the cool breeze. There were couches and heaters on the patio, you can also get an ocean view here if come during day. Pretty good place to hangout.

This is a nice casual spot at UCSD near the gliderport. It's a cute rooftop spot which is great for happy hour or a hangout w friends. You can see a view of the water in the far distance. The food items I tried here are tasty - Parmesan fries, quinoa citrus salad, flatbreads. Parking is in the schools parking lot, 1st hour is free, and fee required after that.

Really didn't like this pizza at all. It was cold, cheese wasn't melted at all. I never write reviews but I couldnt be more serious that this pizza was worth $4 not $15+. Really wish I just went to target and got microwave instead. They didn't even give a receipt. Too much sauce, cold cheese, crust is embarassing. Everything about this pizza was extremely bad not to mention overpriced.

The food was Great. I had a Turkey, jam & brie sandwich. My friend had a salmon salad that she loved. The view is nice and there is outdoor seating. Very clean. The girl (Argentinian) that took our order was helpful and kind. I'll be back there for sure.
