For months, my friend has been mentioning this place near her house to try one night. The stars finally aligned for me to try this location this month, and I'm glad I did! Immediately upon entering we were greeted and noticed we came at an off time, so there was plenty of seating. The dining area would slowly fill up as we dined, but with how fairly spacious this place is, it still felt fairly intimate and private. My friend raved on and on about the Fried Eggplant ($13.25), so that was a must to start the meal! It was likely the best tasting eggplant I've ever had, and I can easily see just dining in to have this and being content. It is so crispy, delicious, and packed full of flavor! Also for a starter, we had the house bread ($8.25) which was also delicious and fresh out of the oven. Though the Fried Eggplant was a clear winner if you only wanted to get one appetizer to start. As for entrees, I was torn between pasta or pizza. Both I have heard are fantastic, so it made for a difficult decision. Ultimately, I decided to go with an old standby favorite of mine - Cacio e Pepe ($16.75). Overall, it had really good flavor but wasn't my favorite comparing to other locations I've had it. Though still a very good pasta! I just might try another pasta dish or a pizza when we return. Because yes, we will be back here! If you are in the area, even if just looking for a glass of wine and a small bite - this is your destination! Want something heavier, they have you covered! Be sure to check this great place out as I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I went here with mid expectations and we were BLOWN AWAY!! INCREDIBLE PIZZA! We felt like we were eating authentic pizza right out of Rome. The crust. The sauce. The cheese. This is in my top 3 pizzas in AZ hands down. We already can't wait to go back and try more. We got the margherita and calabrese. I'm dying to go back to try the handmade pastas and some of the desserts. No complaints on the service. We really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere inside. Cannot wait to go back!

Bella Gusto has risen to become our fave local pizza spot since it's only 15 minutes away :) delicious neapolitan pizza with a soft and fluffy crust and flavorful toppings! We came with a reservation on a Friday night - def recommend because I saw a few parties waiting for a table. It was busy and service was slightly slow but we didn't mind.Ordered a 1/2 Phoenix salad and was able to sub the goat cheese for parmesan which we really appreciated! The salad had a great citrus-y contrast and I loves the candied walnuts. Dressing was light how we like it! The calamari was also decent - our least fave dish of the night but doesn't mean it was bad - just wish it was a bit crispier. As for pizzas we got the Flavortown (hello truffle oil!) and the Tuscana. Husband thought the truffle overwhelmed all the other toppings but I didn't mind lol. The Tuscana felt like a nice cleanse after. Both delicious and I can't wait to come back to try more items.Restaurant is casual/family-friendly and there's even a separate room if you want to reserve for a large party. My server was also really kind and sweet!

Bella Gusto is a vibey neighborhood spot with friendly service and reliably tasty food and drinks!Unfortunately, for those of us with celiac disease or gluten allergies/intolerances, this Italian restaurant does not offer much for you. No gluten-free pizza. No gluten-free pasta. No gluten-free bread. They do offer some pretty terrific gluten-free calamari... and there are also some salads that you could order without certain ingredients (e.g., croutons) to make them gluten-free, so that is something. I was lucky on my last visit, as their New Year's Eve special was Sirloin & Scallops over polenta. The dish was indeed special... quite spectacular! However, on my first visit, I was stuck eating an entire meal of just calamari. So next time I will be sure to call ahead and ask about the specials before heading over - I recommend you do the same.Overall rating:****FOUR STARS****Gluten-free rating:*ONE STAR*

Bella Gusto has been on my radar for a while. Its recognition for its wood fired pizza cannot be ignored. I ordered the Santa Merda pizza. Interestingly enough, it tasted better than it looked. The pizza looked undercooked and had a doughy bottom. It has very little crisp and needed to be folded to be eaten. The flavour was excellent. No regrets. I'm glad I tried.

Good at Bella Gusto, specifically their wood fired pizzas, are terrific! Take heed that on Wednesdays you'll get the most bang for your buck with pizzas. They have a buy one pizza, get another pizza for $10. That's when hubby and I love to go and just dig in to the amazing pizzas. Service is always great and the ambiance is nice. Feels cozy and comfy.

My four stars is a solid four. I have to say that I was very impressed with the pizza here and will definitely be returning. My family and I came in on a Sunday evening, and it was packed. We all came away pleased with the entire meal. A few years ago, my wife and I considered going here but got takeout from another restaurant. I don't know why we never returned, but I'm definitely happy that we eventually did.Together, we ordered two pizzas, two salads, and the meatballs. The Santa Merda! is a white pizza with sweet and spicy bites. The hot honey was a nice touch and countered the Calabrian chilies. The other pizza we ordered was the Capricciosa, which is probably more for people who like mushrooms, olives, and artichokes. I enjoy those things, but my wife is not the biggest fan. One of the standouts of the entire meal was the crust. When a restaurant has a nice wood-fired pizza oven like at Bella Gusto, you know they are serious about pizza making. The staff were excellent and very friendly. Overall, I thought the restaurant was clean and well-spaced. At no point did you feel too close to the table next to you, and the quality service was much appreciated.
