This is a cute spot that used to be the Original Bakery. I really like the color scheme of the store - low key italiano. The staff was very friendly but tbh, it is hard to look in the case when there is line pressure. There was a lot of different things to look at and they seemed yummy. We bought the salciccia breakfast sandwich which reminded me of a few that i ate when in Italy. It was very good with a brioche bun, egg, sausage, peppers and cheese. The picture attached shows various pastries and cookies that were very tasty. We went early on a weekday and it was not busy but drove by on Saturday and there was a long line. That says something

Outstanding brunch and pastries. Great Italian cafe atmosphere. Super friendly service. Prices what you would expect for Seattle. Family friendly. Dinner menu to come. Vegetarian options limited but are expanding.

Very welcome addition to our 'hood. The double baked almond croissant, lemon scone and morning bun are certified deeeelish. My personal favorite is the Ranger cookie, which frequently sells out before I can get one! The staff are very helpful and friendly and the space is warm, open and welcoming. Looking forward to working my way down the sandwich menu.

So thrilled to have Bel Gatto in the neighborhood! The pizza and croissants are great, but the star of my multiple visits have been the paninos! The Maiale Arrosto (incredible roast pork and fresh giardinera) and the Meatball sandwich are excellent...can't wait to try the rest! The pesto pasta salad is worth a visit too.

Welcome to the neighborhood!Delightful staff processed an steady line of patrons looking for their afternoon somethings.Canoli, cornetti, cookies and pizza by the slice were all available today, as they are still completing some mechanical installs.Canoli (orange/pistachio) was delightfully elegant.A twice baked almond cornetti waslight, vibrant and crispy (and as it should be different from it's french neighbor). The lemon ciambella had a great crumb, the right amount of lemon (no punch in face here) and was a nice partner to the coffee I already had in hand, as I was surprised to find the shop open and was not in need of a beverage this afternoon.I look forward to coming back and experiencing the full menu assortment when it's available.

I finally was able to stop in after an appointment in the neighborhood. I ordered the prosciutto panini and two cannolis to go. Very cute space and the windows were rolled up to let the fresh air in. Though it was nice that the sandwiches were not premade, it took a very long time to receive my order. It was a small foil-wrapped square but very hefty in weight - couldn't wait to bust it open at home. As someone who opens every sandwich to make sure everything is evenly distributed, this guy was well made and didn't need rearranging, but for picking out some yellowed arugula. It was really good and I ate the whole thing in one sitting. The cannolis were ok - not sure if the shells are made in house or purchased elsewhere. Tasted a little like a thick won ton wrapper deep fried. Filling was good and I pretty much just poked it all out to eat on its own.

I am absolutely delighted to have this wonderful bakery/restaurant in my neighborhood! I have eaten many fine pastries in my lifetime, but Bel Gatto's are perhaps the best I've encountered. And their sandwiches are nothing short of divine, both in taste and in presentation. (love the homemade bread) The ambiance is pleasant, spacious and comfortable, the staff are friendly and welcoming . . . once again, I am so lucky to live "close by", I fully intend to be a frequent customer. Next time I'll try a slice of pizza . . .

The pizza was underwhelming. The chop salad had obviously been sitting for some time. It was overdressed with an overly sweet dressing. Garbanzos were hard and chalky. Service was meh. They overcharged me (sign in the case had a different price than what rang up). It's a lovely remodel on the inside.

This new find just opened around the bend from the Fauntleroy Ferry Dock. Super cute with such a friendly staff and delicious pizza, pastries and selection of drinks (espresso, Italian soda, beer, wine, etc). I can't wait until the garage doors on the front can be open!
