9/3/23 - Tonight was the soft opening and it was amazing! The crew is still working out kinks but the food was incredible. We got 2 burgers - one with bacon and one without. Getting a beer here was awesome as we waiting for the kitchen to start taking orders at 5PM. The place isn't tiny but getting here early definitely helped. The concept is that Beast & Clever's once a month burger will have a permanent home at Fair Isle. Also on the menu is their pate, and various steaks. Both burgers were phenomenal. Next time I want half of each and the option to add mama lil's or something spicy. The size did not disappoint and left me satisfied, though I missed the option of fries and it's something I hope they add post soft-opening. Great work all around! Can't wait to come back!

Had the burger. Way too much ketchup. A ludicrous amount of ketchup. Cheese was low in flavor like American, but resisted melting, so it brought nothing to the party. Beef was nicely cooked, but of course it just tasted of sweet tomato ketchup, and there are no substitutions so there is no saving it from that train wreck. I can't believe they think this is the best showcase for their supposedly great beef.

My partner had heard about this place some time ago so we decided to give it a shot on a Friday night with another friend. We had tried to book a table in the past for just 2 people and it seems, - for whatever reason - that it's easier to get a table on short-notice with 3+ people in your party.Well, anyway, the check-in situation is a little weird. You check-in where you also order beers inside Fair Isle Brewing. And if the beer line is long then unfortunately you just have to wait. Hope they figure out a way to check-in people who are there for the restaurant separately.Once you check-in, the process is pretty straightforward. They get you seated and once you've looked over the menu, you place your order in the kitchen. We got a few things to share, in no particular order...-Caesar salad had a nice crunch and that nutritional yeast made it extra tasty.-Smoked potatoes were interesting. The cheesy sauce they were on top of was tasty. The potato texture was a bit inconsistent - some slivers were perfect, other slivers were a bit hard.-Mushroom sandwich was surprisingly good. Nice assortment of mushrooms, the blue cheese (?) sauce was nicely funky.-The meat in the burger was good, but the rest of the burger was very ok. Maybe they decided to keep things simple to bring focus to the meat since it is 100-day aged?-21-day aged steak was good but could've benefited from some extra flaky salt. The sauce that accompanied it was a bit bland.Overall it was good, but at the prices they were charging that's to be expected. Was I blown away? No. But it was good enough to potentially warrant a future visit.

Food was absolutely delicious! I never had 100 day aged beef before so I was curious to try it. You can definitely taste the difference and richness of the ground beef. Glad we got there as soon as they opened because they were pretty much sold out within 30 minutes. The Cauliflower with the miso sauce was also delicious.Pairing those food with some great beer was the cherry on top.

Went there last night and was very underwhelmed. The Service - was neglectful at best. We were at the "chef's counter" and the waitress only came once to take our order and then again when I flagged her down to pay. The Burger - was extremely undercooked. DARK DARK Red. The chef was clearly more focused on mass producing these high priced patties than on quality control. I also agree the with other reviews that there is way too much ketchup.Flat Iron Steak - Cooked perfectly, a little salty, but overall the best part of the meal.

I love the concept of fine dining in a casual environment and there is a lot of care and thought in the dishes. The food did come out way too fast and essentially all at once. I recommend only ordering a couple things at a time to make sure you don't feel rushed. The service was all kind and accommodating, really nice staff. I would have liked if our waitress could have given more guidance on ordering. We got the toro steak which was the best thing on the menu and the cabbage caesar which was phenomenal. We also got the smoked potato, vache cheese and cauliflower served altogether so it was just a lot of dairy/heavy cream sauces together. The vache cheese was good but I wouldn't recommend the potato or the cauliflower. The cauliflower sauce was a miso sauce but tasted more like a hollandaise. It was just a lot of heavy cream at once. I recommend checking it out and get the cabbage caesar!

Honestly... underwhelmed. This is due in part to fair isle brewing. The space feels kinda disjointed and the staff leaves a lot to be desired. Kind of pretentious? The food was good. Got the pork rillette, cabbage salad, and split a burger. The cabbage salad was the standout. The burger left something to be desired compared to the burgs I've experienced over at B&C. Maybe I should have added bacon...I think I will go back to try the other meats, but I won't be running back for the burger (or the beer...!).

$18 Beast and Cleaver burger was not great. It was not good, it was OK. I'm sure the quality of meat is high quality but they ruin it with the "rubber cheese, slosh of ketchup and bun" that don't allow substitutions or removal. Burger was not cooked evenly through and lacked taste all around. I think if there was condiments and other stuff you could add/remove it would showcase the quality of beef. *on top of that, the service team was very snobby. It's ok to be nice and have high quality food. Give it a try Seattle.

Gotta bump the rating on this place after some dude just posted a bad rating on the burger.Yeah, expensive -- welcome to Seattle.Best burger in town -- nah.Good burger -- absolutely!!Delicious burger, simple, for the purist. Must add the bacon, it's amazing. Perfect red/pink center, burgers should not be brown throughout.Love the no substitutions, good burgers do not need condiments other than cheese and ketchup. Please don't ruin a good burger with a mound of condiment options.Too bad the beer and the connected brewery is mediocre at best...still 4 stars for the food place on its own.

Disclaimer: I only tried the burger, but I love Fair Isle and have been waiting for this burger for months. It's..... fine. This may be the first time I've genuinely felt like I could make the same burger at home. Restaurant burgers usually have some special sauce, or method of cooking that makes them taste particularly "restaurant quality", but this one was just "good". Certainly not worth $18 with no modifications allowed. I can appreciate that I'm eating 100-day dry-aged beef, but that doesn't mean that it results in a tastier burger. People complain about Five Guys being expensive, but I'd rather have a $12 Five Guys burger with unlimited choice of toppings than Beast & Cleaver at 49th St.
