Leaving five stars so management will actually read this, and I don't want to hurt business. Sat at the bar. My roommate and myself were the only ones sitting there. The restaurant was almost empty, yet the bartender checked on us a total of four times. Our order was the chicken pot pie hand pie, sausage pancakes, breakfast casserole, and the chicken and waffles. Everything was overcooked (save for the casserole) and under-seasoned (including the casserole). When we voiced that, the manager came over and said they would "discount that item." When the check came, they had taken $10 off of the chicken and waffles, which was $20. I don't mind spending the money on the food, but discounting something that we took one bite of seems like more of an insult, instead of comping it. Honestly, 2/5 stars. Spent over $100 on food that we barely ate. Bummer. Hard pass.

Went for lunch on Sunday afternoon and the service and food was fantastic. In town to pick up my kid from Loyola and hit this spot before heading home out of state. We were blown away by the smashed tots. With the garlic aioli for a dip?This place will be on my list the next time I'm in town! Cheers!

The food here was great! The fried pickles had a thick batter, which was a nice change of pace. The chicken sandwich was pretty standard, but good, and the fries were good too.

We were greeted by a friendly gentleman upon entering. He showed us to our 'pew seat' in an elevated part of the bar. The place looked very modern and clean. We ordered the Mac and Cheese, the Pastrami Sandwich, the Fried Chicken Sandwich, and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Although we didn't ask, the Mac and Cheese came out first. It was so rich and thick; no wonder it can be ordered as a meal. I was full from just eating that. My husband and I split the sandwiches. I think I liked the fried chicken one more than the pastrami, but you can't go wrong either way with all the meat in both. We ordered the Grilled Cheese sandwich for my kid, so we asked for it plain: he ate it, so that's a plus. I brought a key lime pie to eat home: it was good but a lot more cream than lime. The food was filling, and the service was great.

friends took us here recently and the service was so nice. Our waitress was personable and attentive and answered our myriad questions. I love fried cheese curds and the burger was good too. The cider selection was impressive, and we'd love to go back.

So nice! Definitely a gem in Edgewater!The cheese curds are flavorful so definitely recommend starting off with them! Burgers and sandwich are huge!!! Anything is worth the price.The atmosphere is a cute kind of broken spoke deal which I'm into. Also every single one of the staff was kinda and seemed to actually enjoy where they worked which was a nice pace in Chicago!

A very casual eating experience with excellent food. The service was light and fun, conducive to a relaxing dinner. Not somewhere you want to go if you're trying to get through dinner quick. Skip the franks marinated egg - it has a lot of mayo and not a lot of frank flavor. The cheese curds are amazing. And the beard burger is enough for two!!

I've been wanting to try B&B for a while and finally made it happen tonight. The restaurant has a really cool vibe. We were seated quickly in the patio area which was nice with ample space. The service was great and it seemed that everyone was helping each other rather than just our server. I like when restaurants work more as a team than as individuals. On to the food. We started with the house-made chips with onion dip. The chips were delicious with a hint on spice in the seasoning. The onion dip was great with a little sweetness that paired well with the spice on the chips. My wife is a pastrami snob and said her pastrami Reuben was awesome. It was enough pastrami that she couldn't finish the whole sandwich. I got the Alabama fried chicken sandwich with short rib poutine. The sandwich was good not great. The chicken itself could've used a little more seasoning and the Alabama white sauce need a little more zing to it. The poutine was great but so rich. But what else would you expect from short rib poutine after all??!!All in all, our visit to B&B was great and we will definitely put it on our rotation.

We came here on a day they were doing an island theme cocktails. The one special cocktail I got was delicious! It tasted somewhat like a pina colada. My husband got a beer which he liked. We started with the cheese curds which were very oily BUT it hit the spot for some cheese craving. We also got the elote salad which was our FAVORITE. I still get cravings for this. My not so favorite was the Mac and cheese. It just want the smooth cheese that I'm used to. It felt like it sat out for a while. I haven't tried their sandwiches that they are known for so I can't say I've had the main items here so definitely need to come back for that.Service was okay. Felt so welcomed by everyone when we walked in. But after our first drink order, we kept having to flag down our waiter.
