If you're near Causeway St and Medford St and even if you're not, make a beeline to this hidden gem in the basement of an office building.I had time on my hands this morning and stumbled on this place. It's awesome.The coffee is robust and delicious. My breakfast, which was a Veggie Omelet, Home Fries, and a side of Crispy Bacon, definitely crushed it. The food was so fresh and piping hot that I could have sworn they had livestock and a mature garden at hand. (The mushrooms were canned, tho--no worries, it's all good.)Ample seating for dine in, very clean. Customer service is second to none. I'm unsure of how long they've been here, but I know I'm coming back for lunch in the very near future. You should try them out soon.

Bean and leaf Café saved me and my cousin on a very hungry cold Boston morning! We had a day of activities ahead of us and were craving a nice hardy breakfast. upon going into the café, we noticed it was small, but everybody was so friendly and it was very clean. We ordered our food at the front counter and then picked it up when it was ready. Everything was very flavorful and so fresh I highly recommend anyone looking for a delicious quick but filling & delicious breakfast to come into Bean and leaf cafe.

I discovered Bean & Leaf on a recent trip to Boston. I'm a late breakfast eater and the hotel bistro was closed. Bean & Leaf popped up with a quick Yelp search and I started walking around the block. The only negative is the entrance off of Medford is a bit hidden but, once I went down the stairs, I saw a beautiful huge clean space with menu boards full of amazing made to order breakfast and lunch items. Hidden gem in Boston. Everything is delicious! They have a huge variety of lunch items from Turkey, cheese and avocado on your choice of Iggy's breads to mulligatawny soup. You can even order breakfast items at lunch.The owner Christine is awesome and is very accommodating. Can't believe there isn't a line out the door, but that's because it's tucked away near the Custom House.Blows all other lunch places out of the water!

Two minute walk from the Marriott Custom House. Wonderful little breakfast or sandwich lunch stop. Owner operated with a bit of a Cheers vibe as she knew the regulars names. Indoor and outdoor seating and I wish I would have walked over with my wife to enjoy the curbside seating that is shaded by trees. The breakfast was excellent!
