From the other reviews I'm guessing we just got unlucky but the meal we had last night was the worst we've had dining out for a long time. My boyfriend, 2 kids and I got there around 8:30 which was maybe too close to closing, although if this was the case they should have just said it's too late. But overall when the burger is the best thing at a seafood restaurant I think that says a lot. Shrimp cocktail - was ok. But the consistency of the shrimp was off. It was kind of rubbery and limp. Ahi poke - very salty. We paid the $2 extra for avocado and got a few tiny pieces in there. Fish tacos - the driest fish I have ever eaten. They were also super bland. Tuna melt- again very dry. Not sure how you make a tuna melt dry but this was horrible. Burger - was really good. As I said, the best part of the meal. Service was ok. Not great. Not horrible. We were deciding between here and Luce. Should have gone to Luce!!

We've been here several times and I've always enjoyed the food... great local draft options, and the only criticism was service... this trip everything fell in line and we had a great experience! Macadamia mahi, sushi, and butter cake.. all was tasty! It's been too long... this joint makes the list!

The only reason they didn't get a full five stars is because my fries were cold when they arrived. Made it to #HappyHour again but this time at 5:15p. Much more people than at 3:45p. Repeat on $1 #Oysters (except more this time) #SteamedClams #FrenchFries #BloodyMary but added #TunaRoll #SalmonSkinHandRoll Sushi was good especially at happy hour prices but the service continues to be excellent. Even when much busier we ordered and was served promptly, We did gave more than one server and they were attentive and friendly. This had become one of our favorite spots after pickleball,

Yesterday we got sushi here to bring over to Harland brewing to eat and the rolls were not as fresh as I remember them to be. We also got sashimi for the first time and some pieces were kind of rubbery/ chewy. When we got to Harland I noticed there weren't any chopsticks in the takeout bag so my husband ran back over to ask for some. When he got back, we started to unpackage the food further and noticed there was no soy sauce (the black sauce included was a thick eel sauce to top the sushi roll but no soy sauce packets for dipping). At that point we were just starving and didn't want to go back for a second time. I think maybe they were having an off day but I was a little disappointed with the quality of the meal and overall takeout experience.

We were sat right away during peak dinner time. We were also greeted quickly. The bathrooms were clean. My wife and I ordered oysters and clams to start. These two dishes stole the show. I server was a little rushed due to the number of tables he had but he tried nonetheless. Second course was seafood pasta which was flavorless and overloaded with over cooked fish. The sushi roll was just okay, not spicy at all. Was not presented with chopsticks and a soy sauce saucer for quite sometime. Granted there was another guest having a medical emergency and was carried away in the stretcher. So the staff had to put their attention on that. Would stick to raw fish and appetizers only next time

Unfortunately the power cut out right after we ordered, so all we had was the Tarantino Roll. It was quite alright. The server felt really bad we couldn't get the rest of our food. We had to pay cash for the meal.

My wife and I were searching for a laid-back seafood place in San Diego. So glad we found this place! The smoked fish stack appetizer was amazing and my fish tacos and the wife's fish and chips were fresh and delicious! A must stop place if you are in the area!!
