We have lived in the area for 24 years but just visited this restaurant that has been in business for 13 years. It was relatively busy at 7:30pm on a Friday night. Amy was our very attentive and friendly server. We enjoyed our house salad, Caesar salad, steak and snow crab, and salmon. All were well cooked, seasoned, and warm. As a heads up, they serve Mayo , cocktail sauce etc, in plastic containers or packages. The only improvement is that the decor was slightly outdated and perhaps cluttered.

Been searching for good fried seafood after AJ's closed. So came here for the first time and was not disappointed. I ordered the fried catfish filet jumbo shrimp combo which had 2 pieces of catfish and 6 jumbo shrimp along with hushpuppies and slaw and fries. Very good!Liked the tarter sauce too.Did not care for their tea though. Will definitely go back!

Bay breeze has been a constant for my family for the better part of 5 years and tonight confirmed I will not be going back.We arrived at 7:10 in a group of 6. They close at 8:00, so we thought that was plenty of time to order, eat, and be out no later than 15 after close.Our waiter was nice, but very green. The mistakes they made were innocent (wrong app came out, drinks took a while to come out, not knowing the menu that well) but completely forgivable. They were super accommodating to requests we made.Food costs have gone up and that's a fact. So obviously prices have gone up as well, which would be fine if the food hadn't gone downhill. Scallops were incredibly small, chowder looked and tasted like mucus, catfish was over fried and almost too hard to eat.To top all of this off, it took a very long time to receive food or to get our check paid for. We offered at the beginning to order our apps and mains at the same time but were told no because that would mean the apps would come out with the mains. We were fine with this. By the time we got someone to take our check for us to pay, it was almost 9:00PM and when they returned (not our original waiter) we offered to let them start taking plates so they don't have to be there any later than they already were. The waitress scoffed and said "well too late for that, I'm not cleaning this up" and walked away. There was also a disgusting smell of sewage both outside the restaurant and in the lobby. After using the restroom it was clear that the smell was coming from there. You are better off using a portable restroom at a concert than to use the restroom here.There were other groups who arrived before we did and were still seated after.Clearly the new management/ownership doesn't care about their customers, their food quality, or making money because their space hasn't had more than 5 tables sat at once in what feels like years.I don't like giving bad reviews, and honestly I don't know if I've ever left a bad google review. This experience was so bad that it warranted this and I hope that the place either finds new ownership or allows a restaurant that gives a crap to move into their large space.

We enjoyed our visit with friends to Bayl Breeze yesterday -- our second visit. We so appreciate the nautical decor, seating, and the quiet atmosphere (can actually hear one another without shouting over other customers). Staff are top-drawer, and our server, Landina, was deligthfully attentive, and funny. We repeated ordering the fried grouper trio, which we enjoyed on our first visit. The grouper this time was not as good as on our first visit: pieces were too thin to hold up well when fried. Otherwise, the house salad and seafoor bique were again very tasty.Suggestion: get some draught beer.We shall return.
