Service was prompt and friendly. Food was good. Three distinct locations to eat: inside (family friendly), outside (covered and wind breaked), and bar side. Menu was focused and they seem to cover all the bases.

Eat at Bastion Brewery after a windy day of golf. I ordered the smoked brisket dip and fries and a Sky Pig IPA. The Ipa was a light color and easy to drink, If I didn't have to drive to Tacoma, I would have a few more. The brisket was perfectly smoked, with Carmalized Onions, and I think it was BBQ Au jus. That was a surprise and delicious. The next time in Anacortes, I will be having a full dinner there. I highly recommend visiting there. You can't go wrong

As a travel RN, I am always looking for a good place to grab a great beer have some solid grub and be able to bring my dog. Bastion definitely hits all those. It is an interesting layout. One side is the restaurant side, no dogs over there. The other side is the brewery side and you can still order food and hangout with your dog and other dogs. Had a couple hazy IPA's and they were quite good. Had the Bastion burger which was very good. They have a great smoker out back, can't wait to comeback and have some of the bbq. Very friendly staff.

Great atmosphere here, fun, inviting and casual. Large bar with big 4 screen tv. Outside seating and an abundance of seating inside with a great selection of beer and cider. The wait staff are friendly and seem to be happy to be here. Ok this is our third dining experience here. Like the place and staff is amazing. Our food this time, not so great. You can see the burger is way over done and dry. Looking forward to trying a burger here and we were very disappointed. The fries were cold, the waitress immediately brought new ones that were hot, salty and amazing. My Cobb salad's lettuce, bacon, olives, and tomatoes were great; the raw onion on it was awful. There was half an onion in there, who likes that much raw onion ever? I recommend ordering without the onion and my mistake, I should have done that. The smoked chicken this time was extremely over done, so dry it was inedible. I'm not sure what happened, last time if was lightly Smokey and tender. We will most likely be back as the first visits the food was amazing, hopefully it will be again.

The restaurant and the brewery are separate. Well, you need to order your beers at one counter (in the brewery) and your food at the other (in the restaurant). But you can run a tab across both the restaurant and the brewery! Got it?Okay, once you've got that figured out, the place is actually quite nice. There was a large group of us (10!), on a Saturday no less, and they had a table that could accommodate all of us. No sweat! Two of us arrived ahead of the rest of the gang. My friend and I both ordered Winter Ales (at the brewery, right?), and they were quite tasty. Then I ordered the Cajun Bowl, and she the "Just a Burger" (at the restaurant, right?). My friend devoured the burger in seconds and said it was delicious. It probably was, but she had just run 50K (yes, really), and probably would have said chopped wood was tasty. But the Cajun Bowl I got was amazing (and I hadn't run 50K). Fresh ingredients, meat and rice cooked just right, and a sauce that was both tasty and super spicy. Generally, spice in the PNW means that a jalapeño might have touched one of the ingredients on the way from the farm. Not this. The bowl really was spicy. And I loved it! If you like spice, get it!Will I be back? Hell yeah! Next time I'm in Anacortes...

Holy cow the brisket birria tacos are what I'd travel an hour for, and that's not an exaggeration as I live in Everett. This place is a hidden gem as far as those tacos go. I haven't had anything else, my says do not try the chicken salad.

Worth stopping in! We went to Anacortes for whale watching, and of course were starving when we were done, cause it's SUCH hard work trying to spot whales, so we stopped. Very convenient location, with some outdoor seating options. We had a large group and ordered lots of different menu options. Word to the wise: the Poutine with brisket is absolutely huge! Loaded with gravy & brisket. If ordered as an appetizer, could have feed a half dozen folks, and then some!! The salads were fresh, and protein was plentiful. Hubs had the burger, and it was filling and delish!

Bastion was our first stop in town after a long drive across the state. My wife and I had just flown in from the D.C. area, where we're accustomed to a robust brewery scene. Bastion did not disappoint!A great atmosphere and welcoming staff made a good first impression. At first glance of the menu, it seemed like pretty standard brewery fare - burgers, sandwiches, salads - all of which sounded good. But I opted for something unique that I'd never encountered at a brewery before: the "Traditional" BBQ bowl. It was an awesome take on Asian BBQ! Rice, veggies, and your choice of protein. This paired really well with the Skagit Valley blonde ale. Highly recommend this spot for dinner and great brews!

I am actually surprised I haven't reviewed Bastion yet! I mean it's a brewery with a nice selection of barbecue, burgers and the usual selection of sides (fries, slaw, Mac-n-cheese). It is a bit Rustic, lots of wood along with a lot of large fermenting vats in the brewery section. This was our happy hour Tuesday destination. Tuesdays have a limited menu with smoked pork verde tacos as the special. Smoked pork verde. I didn't even need to see the menu after that! The tacos were great! I'd go back just for those! I tried their red which was also very good. There was no table ordering requiring you to go to the counter for food and drinks. They did however bring the food to our table and service for that was quick!

Fun brewery across the street from Swinomish golf course, which makes for a quick commute after building up a thirst on the course. We enjoyed the beer, some brisket tacos and sndwiches. Enjoyable place with good service. I'd go again when in the area.
