Super impressed with the service we received yesterday. It was so hot out that everyone had the same idea and went for ice cream after school. There were 15 people in front of us and 1 girl named Maddy working she was so fast, friendly and efficient that we had our ice cream in no time. Watched the line grow again and wow she cleared it again with a fast and friendly attitude. So nice to see great customer service!!

**DO NOT ORDER A CUSTOM CAKE FROM THIS STORE** Unless you want to be thoroughly disappointed. I placed an order online on a Wednesday afternoon (it said it would be ready by Friday), and when I went to pick it up on Saturday, the person who helped me, and who seemed like the manager/owner, went back and forth from the freezer, repeatedly asking to see my email confirmation.She tells me to wait a second as she hops on the phone, scurries to the back again, and then returns to say: "So here is the thing. The cake might be at the Carmel Mountain store."I'm sorry. WHAT? Why is it at another store and what do you mean by "might." She says the employee there cannot check because they are the only one working at the store. At this point I am panicking because this was the cake for our grandmother's 90th birthday party that was starting in 15 minutes. She offers to let me choose an "upgrade" from the selection of premade cakes, which is absurd since this is for a 90-year-old woman and most of the cakes in their freezer are decorated for kids 10 years and younger. She kept harping on the fact that I was getting a better deal by being able to select a cake one size larger. But the point is we weren't getting the cake WE ORDERED! This is like offering someone two scoops of rainbow sherbet when they really wanted and ordered chocolate. It doesn't matter they are getting "more" -- they're getting more of something they don't even want!!! The kicker is that not once did the lady apologize or own up to the fact that her store messed up big time, dropped the ball and kinda ruined a birthday celebration. Just a bit of accountability would have gone a long way. If you do want to take the risk of ordering a cake online, CALL AHEAD AND DOUBLE, TRIPLE CHECK THEY HAVE IT THERE. THEN MAYBE CALL ONCE MORE TO HAVE SOME PEACE OF MIND.

However, I kindly request that the management address the issue of the leaking roof promptly, as water is visibly seeping out of the light fixtures. The most awkward experience to be a customer and have the possible manager berate the young server while you're waiting to be checked out. I had gone in to redeem my bday scoop while I was waiting for the receipt to be printer. Probably due to the low traffic time, the server was probably working on her own things (which I get is not professional) but I was more taken aback by the possible owner's response to it in front of a customer. Also, Maybe it's just me, if I see someone who is redeeming a birthday anything, I'd wish them. But instead this manager went on to talk to the server, not acknowledge the customer, didn't offer the customer the receipt, crumpled it up, and ignored the customer all together (didn't even inform me that I was free to go after crumpling the receipt though I guess I should have assumed). Quite possibly the rudest experience I've had in this neighborhood. I would have rated it a one star based on this experience but the ice cream tasted delicious, hence the two stars. Seriously so weirded out by this experience.

It's the first day of school and the boy kid working is all by himself with literally a line out the door. I'm writing this as I'm standing here with my two kids who were just so excited for ice cream that we can't turn back now. I feel terrible for the poor kid working as he is going as fast as he can but the owner should be a little more in touch and realize the first day of school is probably a day that you want to staff up and not leave one kid solo.

Purely based on customer service because you can't go wrong with Baskin Robbins in general. This kid slammed the freezer door opening and closing it. Makes no eye contact and slams the cup of ice cream on the counter when serving it to me. Immediately turns around facing the wall and mumbles "thanks have a good day". Bro, just quit your job already if you hate it that much.
