Bartaco - Nashville

I came here with my family on a cousins trip and this place was incredible. The variety of tacos and sides are handheld pieces of magic. The staff was so kind and accommodating of our large party and made sure everyone had their correct orders. I've been to other bar tacos but the atmosphere in this one is like no other. It is so welcoming and lively.I have yet to find another bar taco that has exceeded my expectations like this one.

We were surprised given the high number of positive reviews that we were disappointed by the food and portions for the price. The tacos as pretty small (as expected for being a street taco) but the food not worth the wait or cost. We had the Baja fish, chorizo, duck, and pork belly. All protein was very dry and not a ton of flavor. My daughter also had the chicken tacos and they were rather bland - just chicken with cheese. Our family had tried velvet taco and loved it much more and for less $$. We also had the small guacamole and it was overpriced and very small :( Ambiance was good but long wait time and just okay tacos.

I visited here with some work friends a few weeks ago and it was a mixed experience overall. We sat outside as there was an open table, but we found out later that there was no server who was assigned to that table, so we'd have to order drinks at the bar and order food to go, which worked for us. I got a spring caipirinha cocktail, which was absolutely delicious, and I would 100% order that again. A few people in my group ordered food online for pickup (I got a few tacos), but unfortunately we never got an alert when our food was ready and the tacos were cold by the time we found out; the flavor was still very good, but it was definitely a bummer that they were cold. It started to get cold outside so we moved to an inside table, but those of us who ordered takeout food had to finish it before we were allowed inside as they don't allow any of their own food at one of their indoor tables if it was a takeout order.The staff were very helpful and kind overall and they did a good job helping us, but the restaurant's policies and lack of alert when our take out food was ready was definitely a bummer. I'll give them another chance as the food and cocktail was tasty, but I'll make sure to just get a regular table inside to avoid any issues in the future.

The tacossss hereee are amazing !! And the drinks don't fall shirts either ! There's specialty are their margaritas- like the spicy ones ! The food serving style it's sharing for the whole tables and you buy individual tacos! The mushrooms tacos and the carne asada were delicious full of flavor . If your not a fan of spicy food there other options to choose from . Great for brunch or for a night out to hangout ! The server was amazing and took his time in explaining which options were the most popular to the most spicy one ! Definitely a great experience!

Great food. Pretty small but you get what you pay for. The food is good quality and has a good flavor profile. The establishment itself is fun, classy, and friendly. The service was also just as great.

The ordering system is a disaster. We showed up at 11 am when they first opened and didn't get an order in until 11:25 when a server finally took our order after we gave up. There were two of us trying to order, both very technically savvy and proficient and the web app kept timing out and crashing. The food was great, the actual human server and management were great, but if your infrastructure relies on technology for customer satisfaction that tech better be bullet proof. If you go, try to order directly from your server.

Bartaco is always busy and you should expect a little bit of a well worth it wait. The food is phenomenal and comes out fast. Their outdoor patio is incredibly hard to beat as it has to be one of the top patios in Nashville for dinner and it's dog friendly! Their chips and salsa is great and has just the right amount of spiciness for a salsa. Their tacos are 2-3 biters so plan to order 3-5 depending on how hungry you are. The pork belly taco is unreal, and I'll probably get 4 of them next time. Baja is always refreshing and delicious. The chorizo reminded of a good beef taco. The duck was different but still pretty decent, I've never had duck before so maybe that one just isn't for me. The prices range from $3-4 for the tacos and $3-5 for most sides and chips/salsa. You can easily spend a boat load on their amazing margaritas as they are one of the best in Nashville. Overall, Bartaco is a must-try if you are near 12 south and looking for dinner options.

Wow! What a change from 2022. We had a bad experience at this popular 12 south eatery but gave them another chance in March 24 and I have raised my rating from 1 to a 5. Best Margaritas in Nashville. Hands down. Fresh lime juice and very consistent. The tuna poke and guacamole we had this weekend were fresh and delicious. Katie was checking on my wife and me throughout our visit to make sure we were taken care of. Great work and we look forward to seeing her next time. It is very popular and hard to get into- long wait- but if you have some time put your name in and shop for a 30-45 minutes and you should be good to go.Excited to go back next time.

Great food, amazing open & lively atmosphere, excellent service.The online ordering was difficult as we had Canadian phone numbers but servers were readily available when we placed the card in our sign holder. It's a casual place but very nice. It was too cold for the patio which is very large.The cauliflower tacos were good and I loved the tajin pineapple. with the chips and 3 salsas to start it was very filling.

As a group of a bachelorette, food was AMAZING and customer service was EXCELLENT! Treated so well and loved the ambiance. We all had a great time and honestly didn't want to leave to the club. Music on a Saturday night kept us singing all night. 100/10!!
