This was my first time trying any Barrio Donas locations and I was so happy to find unique donuts! If you're looking for a pick-me-up or love Horchata, this is also a place to check out!We got the Guava Cheese/Cream donut (filled with guava jam and whipped cream cheese?) and topped with icing and a cookie. We also got the Jamaica donut which had a tart glaze on top with a cute sugar hibiscus flower decor. Both were good but different vibes. If you want a decadent and rich donut, the guava one is the way to go and it's not too overly sweet. If you're looking for a lighter donut and like the acidic taste, the Jamaica one is delicious! They also sell De Olla Cold Brew which tastes like a Mexican cinnamon iced coffee and horchata! We got the cold brew and horchata separately but I recommend just getting the combination drink! They're both good on their own but because of how authentic the horchata tastes, mixing the two was a match made in heaven--seriously. Pricey but I would get it again! This donut shop is in the new food court area in Old Town closer to the end streets on the bus station end. There is some seating outside and the store employee was friendly!

Such a cute donut shop tucked into the Old Town Urban Market. There aren't tables indoors but there are some tables outside in the courtyard area. They have really unique flavors, we got the cajeta and horchata flavors. The donuts are really soft/fluffy and can get a little messy especially if you're eating them on a warmer day. They taste delicious! I personally prefer the "crispy" fried donuts but these would be perfect with a cup of coffee, it melts in your mouth. They do sell out of flavors so try to come earlier if you want to have more options! Prices are fair for craft donuts.

My friend and I were hungry for a doughnut and Barrio Donas didn't disappoint. The gourmet doughnuts are fresh, light, and fluffy. Great selection and decorated nicely. I had the horchata doughnuts. The lemonade was just alright. If you are in old town stop by Barrio Danas.

Small but delicious. Friendly service and good vibes. Very clean and cute little spot. Donuts were soft and creative. Yummy. We had the payaso and reeces mazapán. Both interesting but good. Great flavor and nice sales lady. Seating outside available in sunny San Diego weather. Would come again to try something new.

I love everything about this place. The flavors, the theme, even the presentation of the donuts. Barrio Donas is so unique, I've never seen any shops have the flavors they offer. These are actually my childhood favorites on a donut, and it's amazing to be taken right back with just a single bite. The location itself is cute. Perfect for a sweet treat after a walk around Old Town. I recommend going earlier in the day. The donuts are, of course, softer when they are fresh out.

Simple but solid spot for some donuts and coffee.I swung by Monday morning right at 9am and they were ready to serve customers.I went with the Guava Maria donut and an iced Cafe de olla + horchata. The donut was flufft and soft, filled with guava jam and whipped cream, topped with icing and a maria cookie. The jam and top icing wasn't too sweet and tasted good, my only wish was that there wasn't whipped cream inside since it's just there as a filler, and the cookie being stuck in half way got soggy. I know it's only one cookie and only half of it was soggy, but I still would've liked a full cooked laid on top!The coffee was outstanding though! Smooth and slightly sweet cafe de olla with the rich and milky horchata. A solid mixture and great way to start the morning

After eating at Old Town Mexican Cafe, we were walking around and stumbled onto this place. We ordered 2 donuts to go. There weren't very many to choose from cuz it was at the end of the of the day, but the 2 we got were delicious. The donuts are nice and fluffy and taste yummy.
