Baron Long Bar & Grill

I have been eating at Baron Long for years. There food is consistent and I love their ranch dressing! I tend to order fish or steak when going for lunch or dinner. You can't go wrong with anything on their breakfast menu. The omelets, steak and eggs, biscuits, berries and yogurt are all scrumptious! My favorite part about Baton Long currently is the beautiful new outdoor covered patio area. They have heaters and fans so it's comfortable with any weather. They have a full bar with a bartender so drinks are delicious as well! The staff are all so friendly! I will say give yourself 1.5-2 hours to enjoy your meal here. The food can take 30 minutes or more depending on the crowd. I sit outside and feel like I'm on vacation. Sometimes we bring our laptops and work while we wait. This is a restaurant in a casino so it tends to be busy 24x7. The good news is you can make a reservation on open table and if you have a n Infinity players card you can bypass the line. Yes, there's almost always a wait to be seated. lol

Baron Long Bar & Grill had its ups and downs; unfortunately more downs than there were ups. The restaurant itself is very modern with an open kitchen. They do take reservations and I do recommend in doing so as it was about a 30 minute wait for those who did not make one. The atmosphere was comforting and you have the option to either be seated outside or inside. My first bad experience was with the staff. Unfortunately, I do believe they were understaffed as my table was not prepared when being seated and it took about 10 minutes for my waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink. When we were given menus, we couldn't find any drinks and so we asked her for a drink menu. Unfortunately, the drink menu is specifically for alcohol, so unless that's what you want; you'll be in the dark with what non-alcoholic beverages they serve. It took about 5-10 minutes just for us to receive the drink menu and we used the time to pick an appetizer. Before proceeding forward, I would like to mention that my waitress was very nice and hard working as she was bouncing around table to table, helping guests with whatever they needed. So the waiting time did not bother me much, but when it comes to the restaurant overall I do believe the standards should be raised especially at a popular and well established casino. We ordered the Sample Platter and it is a great dish if you have a group and are needing something to hold you up until the main dish comes out. The Sample Platter comes with wings, quesadillas, jalapeños poppers, onion rings, ranch, and a creamy sauce. The onion rings were thin but had a nice flavor and crunch to them. The jalapeños poppers unfortunately lacked in flavor significantly and were a major disappointment. The quesadillas had a nice crunchy thin tortillas with well seasoned and tender beef that was accompanied by either Mexican cheese or cheddar I'm assuming. I paired the quesadillas up with the creamy sauce they provided and I was craving more. The star of the platter were the wings. I chose buffalo flavored wings and I'm not exaggerating when I say this, but they were the best wings I have ever had in my life. The meat was juicy and plentiful, the skin was crispy and it was all brought together by a mouth punching buffalo oil that was not too spicy nor too oily. I will definitely be coming back for these wings. For my main dish, I ordered the Southwest Burger. It was not what I was expecting and I was disappointed. I requested medium rare and that was what I got. The beef itself was under seasoned and dry, but was thick which I do appreciate. The lettuce and tomatoes tasted fresh. However, I could not taste the spicy mayo except on a couple of bites nor the Swiss cheese. The true stars of the burger were the poblano pepper, cowboy onions, and the bread. The entire burger was just an oily mess and I had to force myself to finish it because I didn't want to waste food. I ordered sweet potato fries with the burger and they were nice and soft on the interior while being crispy on the exterior. If I had known how good the wings were, I would have just gotten those instead of the burger. It could have just been a bad day, but overall my experience wasn't that bad.

Let me start with viejas casino is the best casino in California awesome ambiance ,great service , Great comps for players . Now as far as this restaurant in the casino can't say nothing but good things super nice for a bar and grill . staff is amazing The food is amazing this picture should say it all . I have never waited for a table sometimes when I'm eating I see a Line to eat here but goes by super fast I would recommend reservations online to play it safe . It amazes me how people say they had a bad experience all you have to do is breath take it easy tell the manager . I also encourage people to review this place I see nothing but satisfy customers whenever I'm here. Give them a chance to fix it this place should be 5 stars

I lounged at the bar for a few hours with a couple of drinks while waiting on family who were gambling at the machines. The restaurant is located in Viejas Casino right next to some machines.The Vodka Berry Smash was super yummy but tasted heavy on the vodka pour. For food, I eventually ordered the Southwest Burger with Sweet Potato Fries as my side choice. The burger itself wasn't the best burger I've tried, but definitely good for the price value. The Sweet Potato Fries however were perfect, crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside!Apparently they don't charge sales tax at Indian reservation casinos so the price you see on the menu is what you pay, at least for this restaurant. Because of this, the total check comes out cheaper than any other American grill restaurant in San Diego from experience.The waitress who served us was very kind and got us our food very quickly! Will definitely be open to eating here again if I find myself at Viejas Casino in the near future. It is quite a ways from central San Diego, so I wouldn't drive here just for the food.

Came in on a Saturday night. I only had the appetizer sampler to go. It's was edible. Service was ok. I probably wouldn't return.

Sisters and I enjoyed a one night stay at Viejas and decided in dinner here to celebrate my one sisters' bday!! Her husband treated us to this fabulous evening together. We were very pleased at this restaurant and so glad we selected it. We got the carne asada tacos for an appetizers since it came in threes for each of us to have one. My youngest sister got a bowl of clam chowder and said it was the best she's ever had. My other sister and I agreed after tasting it. She also got the steak caesar and said the meat was so tender she didn't need a knife to cut it. I got the shrimp fettuccine with garlic bread and I loved every bite. My other sister got pork ribs and it was also very good and tasty. The food made for the best dinner with my sisters. We'll definitely return. The prices were reasonable for what you got and the portions were generous!

We enjoyed a quick bite at Baron Long Bar & Grill, after some fun times in the casino.We began with drinks, a Diet Pepsi for me, and an Iced Tea for my partner. I wasn't that hungry so just went for the Chicken Tortilla Soup. As for my partner, he began with the Chicken Tortilla Soup and the Baron Salad. Following that, he had The Baron Pizza.We had great service, beginning with being seated at a great table. We had made earlier reservations and had asked for a great booth, and we got a great booth!!!

You have to come here for a nice dinner!! The Baron is a great Resturant for great food from short ribs to burgers & sandwiches and full menu here. We've been coming here for a few years here. And always have great service here is always excellent!! This is my favorite Resturant in Alpine..yes it's 25 mins but it's well worth the drive for us. To enjoy good food here. It's always hot coming out the the busy kitchen And there's a big full bar. So if your not into sitting in the dinning side there's a nice big bar with TV's and you eat in the bar too if that's your thing. And watch your favorite sports too! Who doesn't like sports and food It's a great size too in the long bar

This is one of the small few restaurants open in Viejas. The place is being renovated. We had to put our name on the waiting list. They said 45 minutes. When we got our table, the place settings were still being set up and the person doing this was annoyed at us, the customer, that the hostess sat us down already when she wasnt done setting up the table. Our server is the reason why I even gave this a 2 star. She got our order right away and drinks on time. I ordered the soup & salad, the rest of the party ordered fish & chips, margareta pizza, ceasar salad, and tuna salad sandwich. The clam chowder soup was pretty decent. It had a lot of clams in the soup but potatoes were so cut up without care. Some huge chunks and some small. Tossed Cobb salad was not very tossed. It lacked dressing that even the server looked at it and said, she will bring me extra dressing without me asking. The pizza was so bland. It needed more tomato sauce and maybe a pinch of salt. It was very bland. This is a place that you can go to if you're desperate for food and there's nothing else open that's better.

Professional friendly service for my nephew's 21st birthday celebration with family in a nice, clean, non smoking area. The food was decent overall but my salad had some browning on the stalk, soup should have been hotter than warm and the dessert was the best meal.
