I loved the outdoor seating by the water. The crab roll was tender and delicious. We visited Sept 23 and it was comfortable midday in a sweater with the harbor breeze.

Service is slow. Food is overpriced and below average favor. Small portion. Fired calamari is so oily, steak is overcooked. Don't recommend.

The Barking Crab at Seaport is a good touristy place to visit. Is it a fancy sit down place? NOPE - you get paper plates and plastic utensils. Does it have some delicious seafood? YES! Do you get good service? YES! Hubs and I wanted seafood. It was misty/rainy day so we caught an Uber to the Barking Crab. Our driver was so sweet. She dropped us off right next to the entrance and probably because we got there shortly around 12:15, it wasn't packed yet and we got seated right away. We sat at the upright bar table which was comfy & right in front of the bar giving us a view to the restaurant. We started with oysters and clamchowder. The oysters were plump and sweet, cold and fresh as expected. The chowers were both filled with clams and potatoes. Had a nice subtle kick to it. I ordered the naked lobster roll and hubs ordered the New England clambake. Neither disappointed us! My lobster roll was packed with lobster on a soft, toasted roll slathered in butter and warm. There was plenty of lobster! Hubby's clambake was 1.5 lb of steamed lobster filled with large chunks of meat, ample clams & mussels, a potato and an ear of sweet corn! Everything was cooked to perfection and surprisingly the clams & mussels weren't sandy! The corn was crispy crunchy and super sweet! Our lunch was really filling! It was on the expensive side, but we knew what we were getting into so it wasn't a big deal. It was worth the experience and the quality of seafood! I'm with that being said, I'm not sure I'd return again since there's other places similar to the Barking Crab that we need to try. The service was good and quick so if you're hungry and in the area, this could be a nice lunch! OH! The bathrooms were weirdly lit with a red nautical light so it was hard making it a little weird wondering what I'd be stepping on.

Told us stand outside in the rain to wait for a waterfront table when they was clearly space inside to wait. Finally got seated when the waitress noticed my drink from my hotel across the street with a sipleft, snatched it from the table and told me to leave and not come back. Very rude arrogant staff. People warned me that the restaurant was a tourist trap. Glad they didn't get my $200 for overpriced crab meal. Would rather give my money to friendly establishment free from arrogance.

After walking around the Seaport District, I ended up at The Barking Crab. I was able to get seated right away, which was a pleasant surprise given how busy the place was. I ordered the scallops, shrimp, and lobster tail, which gave me the chance to try a little bit of everything. This meal was delicious. The atmosphere was lively, and the food was cooked well and very tasty. The service was friendly, the staff were quite busy. It's a great spot to sit by the water and enjoy a bite to eat.

We walked by this spot on our way back to the hotel. Staff were nice enough and the seafood was fresh and delicious. The snow crab legs were so juicy and tasty. We got a table right by the water and it was just beautiful. Overall I'd say give it a try!

The place looks cool and fun from outside. The wait wasn't too bad for dinner on a Thursday night. My coworker and I got a spot on a communal table which isn't bad.The service was a little odd. Our server was not very helpful and pretty aggressive. We asked her for recommendations but she could not give us any. Also, the wait staff was interesting. The table next to us asked for to go boxes and the staff just threw the box at them. I asked for a copy of my receipt and it was handed to me all crumpled. The food was ok. Nothing too special or spectacular. I think this was just all for the vibes and the experience.

Came for a snack at one of the places we had frequented in the past. It wasn't too busy as we came in the late afternoon. We had the fish and chips, the lobster bisque, the clam chowder, steamers and the crab dip. Everything was delicious. The bisque and the chowder were excellent, the fish and chips were very fresh and the fry was perfect. The steamers were very fresh and the crab dip was tasty.

We arrived around 7:30 p.m. on a Tuesday and encountered about a 20-minute wait. Don't let the line deter you; the hostess efficiently managed to seat guests promptly.Food: The spicy margarita was SO good I needed two. I opted for the traditional lobster roll accompanied by sweet potato fries. While the lobster roll was enjoyable, I would venture to try a different entrée next time. The sweet potato fries, however, were a perfect 10/10.Ambiance: We were seated right by the water, offering a breathtaking view from our high-top table. The overall decor gives waterfront dive bar vibes, adding a casual charm to the dining experience. This was a really fun place, will be back when I visit Boston again!

Always a good good place to stop for the lobster experience on the harbor. It's an outdoor patio that has heat available in the winter. Not a lot of cool though for these hot summer days. The lobster is great and fresh. No frills place though. They don't want you camping out and will not split checks...so don't ask.
