Everything was so fresh and flavorful! The Bibimbop was amazing with all kinds of textures and tastes. It hit all the right notes. I got a side of Mac which was the perfect accompaniment. It's one of the most unique and delicious macaroni salads I've ever had. Hubby had the garlic shrimp and ahi which he said were both perfect.

Came here for lunch, maybe happy hour, and the miSed plated were discounted. Ended up with two very filling plates for a very affordable price in this day and age. Having grown up on the islands, a lot of the flavors hit the spot. The variety is a great selling point. Will come again!

The food was good and the portions were good as well! The only thing is that you save half the price if you were to come during happy hour so make sure to do that!! I didn't realize how much extra we ended up spending by missing out on that. We got three dishes to share amongst three people and also got the horchata which was good. The service was pretty quick and there's seating both inside and outside the store.

My previous visit to Barkada Edmonds was back in 1/19/18 which I gave a two star back then.I revisited this spot over 5.5 years later with The College Friend on 8/15/23. Both she and her friend have this on their routine dining rounds, I figured I should give this another try. Indeed there were improvements observed, so added another star.We got a nearby parking spot on this very hot summer afternoon. We decided to stop by during their happy hour, which was fortuitous for me since items ordered and consumed onsite from 3-5pm is 50% off. I ordered the Kalua Pig with cabbage, this came in a compostable take out box with steamed rice, a scoop of mac salad, and some greens. It was a hefty amount served and I ended up only finishing half of it. I was glad for the cold water in the self serve canteen containers, although the POG slushie looked enticing on the menu. I ended up eating the mac salad later (bit much mayo wise) and the rest of the pork and rice was consumed by The Homie. To be honest, I actually prefer laulau over kalua pig.The College Friend ordered her usual Pork Sisig which came with steamed rice, greens, and spicy chili sauce. She was a bit disappointed though that for the second time there was no purple sweet potato salad available. I would say this is a great bargain when stopping by during happy hour. Have some HH beverages and convo first, then take your conveniently packed food and enjoy it al fresco at one of many parks in Edmonds. Considering how compact the food/drink prep area is, they have decent menu selections, there's something for everyone. It was good to revisit and see that they have found their niche as the northend pioneer. There are also now other Filipino or island plate lunch spots in Lynnwood and Everett.

This place is a freaking gem. The food is amazing & fresh & you can get a mixed plate to try a lot of different things. The cocktails are delicious and special. The outdoor area is cute and the service was just what you'd want. I couldn't recommend it more. Go, it's delightful.

Really tasty food accompanied by really friendly staff! We ordered 2 mixed plates so that we could try many of entrees (garlic shrimp, pork belly, chicken, and ahi tuna), as well as variety of sides (purple yam, Mac salad, noodles, kale). The pork belly was cooked well enough it wasn't too squishy, the garlic shrimp was a perfect balance between the flavors (plus the sauce on the rice under made the rice even better), but the ahi tuna was the favorite. Chicken was good but it wasn't our favorite! They have a downstairs area for seating which turned out to be needed during lunch hours (we had arrived just before lunch time) . Highly recommend going between meal hours, we had no idea this place was so popular!! Come check out this spot the next time you're in Edmonds !

Cool restaurant with some really yummy, unique food. I hear everything is half price before 5pm. I felt like the food was a bit spendy, perhaps they are making up for the cheaper prices earlier in the day. They have a visually interesting purple-colored horchata drink, which I had to try. I love Mexican horchata but this was different. The flavor was very weak. My wife had the regular one and I had the adult version. It didn't do much for me, and at $14, was a total waste of money. We had a couple of the pork dishes, and the pork sisig was astounding. Definitely going back for that again. Enjoyed sitting outside dining on a sunny evening, but the wait was a bit longer than expected.

Just moved into Seattle 2 weeks ago and my wife and I kept passing by this restaurant a few times, which provoked my interest. So, this past Friday, my wife and I decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, it did not strike our taste buds with gratification. It was not the wait time as kept ourselves preoccupied with jenga, cards, and sungka. It was not the drinks as we enjoyed the San Miguel and Margarita. It was not the location and seating arrangement as we loved the filipino-hawaiian ambience and the outdoor seating. It was the food. Loved the lumpia. But, I was not fond of the adobe as it tasted tooo vinegar-y. Shrimp tasted delicious. I was not too fond of the pancit or the lechon. We may reconsider another visit.

In preparation for a trip to Hawaii the husband and I found this place for a late lunch. The patio is delightful but it was entirely too cold for it today so we headed inside. Quaint and definitely family place with a couple tables upstairs and a sign that indicates more seating downstairs . We were greeted by with a friendly bartender/order taker who let us know to look at the me u and order with him. He also gave us some great suggestions including that we should wait three minutes for happy hour. That was probably the best suggestion of all! We each got a mixed plate. Mine was delicious with Poke, Kahlua Pork and Kale salad plus Mac salad. My husband dalso enjoyed his, he got garlic shrimp and another pork dish with a noodle side and Kale salad. We shared a side of Lumpia and both had a a cocktail from the menu. Unfortunately they gave me the wrong side, I wanted the Mac salad and I got a noodle dish. The downstairs where we sat was lovely and we (more like I) really enjoyed the music. They even had a couple of arcade games. .. be sure to check it out!

If you're looking for a patio to enjoy the nice weather and get some good food, then this is the spot for you. The best fusion food, to me, is food that stays true to both cultures and doesn't create something unrecognizable. Barkada delivers that so well with their mix of Hawaiian and Filipino foods.I tried the mix plate and got sisig, adobo, pancit, and mac salad. I adore sisig and I really loved their spin on it which was extra saucy, had sauteed onions, and was topped with spicy mayo. The adobo also surprised me with how they kept the chick tender and juicy.I also couldn't resist a spam musubi and the beautiful ube horchata cocktail. The musubi was just okay but wow I would come back again for the ube horchata alone. As far as I could tell, there's only street parking in this area which can be a bit tricky because it's along a major road, but the food is worth the fight to find a spot.
