Brilliant idea - cafe adjacent to a doggie daycare/training shop! Very much appreciated the friendly service, plentiful selection of teas, sandwiches (Pesto Sandwich was AMAZING - warm, crisp, savory), and the doggie decor (paintings are so cheerful!).

The cortado wasn't my cuppa, think they use too dark a roast for my palate but they nailed their London fog!

Are you looking for the epitome of the "neighborhood coffeeshop"? Well, you found it. I come here almost every day.Friendly and chatty baristas, fun menu with some simple but delicious breakfast sandwiches, and most importantly: tasty drinks. Grab your drink to go, or stick around at one of the tables or the couch. Light, casual atmosphere typically with relaxed music playing. There's a covered outdoor patio, and a separate dog-friendly room where you can hang out with your dogs as you drink your coffee or work. It's also connected to a doggie daycare and a pet supplies store. Needless to say - "dogs" is the whole motif of this place. Lots of dog art on the walls (some by local artists for sale!).This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Seattle. 12/10, would recommend.

TL;DR - they need to learn to hustle and work more quickly and efficiently at this place; it literally took us less time to get our passport photos done when we ordered 2 uncomplicated drinks on a not busy Sunday. There is no reason coffee should take forever, even when it's busy, there are 2 people so what is going on?? A lot of other places only have 1-2 baristas and do food so what are they doing here? Our order took almost 15 minutes including wait time when they served their friends before us even though got there first. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars vs 1 is because the coffee is decent, once you've waited a million years to get it. I'm not happy writing this review so please realize this comes from multiple years of going to this cafe, not anything sudden or recent. while the cafe itself is very cute, the doggy vibe is super cute..... the coffee is fine, but takes FOREVER. every single time, the employees act like they have all day to make your order, won't even try doing it quickly, and then on top of that they don't even acknowledge it! every time I stop going to Bark then stop in again, I'm reminded why I don't come more frequently. it's disappointing that the one coffee shop within walking distance is like this. Employees are chatting with each other, taking their sweet time, and will get annoyed if you are in a hurry and need to be in and out.

The penguin peppermint mocha is so goo! As is the egg nog, standard holiday drinks I know... but for some reason I think we're better than average. The pesto egg sandwich had veggie sausage!! Yum! And YOU CAN BRING YOUR DOG!

On a cold winter day , was looking for a meetup place to meet a friend. I love that this cafe has two separate cafe areas: one for humans only and the other for humans and their pups. The dog only entrance has its own entrance to the side of the building by the outdoor tent/dining area. Inside the dog only area, there are some dog beds so high-chewed toys and plenty of seating for humans. There is a window inside this cafe where you can order. You cannot see the food displays from this side of the cafe, but they have the menus posted. We had our blueberry scones toasted; definitely go with a warmed scone. The scones were well balanced, not too sweet and plenty of blueberries. The drip coffee wasn't too acidic. They have a jar of dog treats. Would definitely visit again; love that this cafe concept exists!

I have been going to bark for some time now, it started off nice finding a small little shop where I can get some coffee and decent food. Now it is just extremely annoying to deal with the terrible cashier who always wears a tank top plus always smells. I've tried to talk to management but to no avail there has been no answer. Specifically on this one day I ordered a sandwich plus a drink, got my drink no issue but waited over 45 mins for my food. I had to remind this person to make my food and all he did was look at me with his baked eyes and looked confused. Manager needs to stop hiring potheads and hire someone who can pay attention and keep up their hygiene. This dude also talks way to much and tries to involve himself in your conversations. I would rate it a zero if I could. To bad they have a nice dog store next door that needs more attention than them.

Approaching Bark Espresso via car this morning, Thursday 25 January 2024, I passed the building it was located in before circling around the block and finding designated parking by the entrance. When driving past, I noticed a pet/dog store sign from the road, and figured it was close. When I got out of my car after circling around, I notice a sign on the outside of the building with the name Bark Espresso and a red door for an entrance/exit.Entering the coffee/food shop, I found a few customers sitting at the tables and a few workers behind the counter. Looking for a hearty baked good, I opted for one with a large fruit jam-looking dollop on the top. I asked what it was when asking for one and the worker said it was a strawberry buttermilk biscuit. It was less than $5 with tax, which I thought was a good price for both the quantity and craftsmanship of the item.My cash payment was well accepted, and I was on my way to enjoy the biscuit. The texture of the biscuit was firm on the outside and topped with crystalline sugar pieces. The interior was fluffy and retained the density of a good biscuit. For the strawberry topping, it was on the sweeter side towards wild strawberries. An excellence product and very satisfying serving size.

The kindest, friendliest and most genuine staff work at Bark Espresso! Enjoyed mint tea, a delicious BLT and a salted chocolate chip cookie. So grateful for this lovely cafe! It was a wonderful refuge on a very rainy afternoon while my dog and I waited to check into our lodging. Free WiFi, so I was also able to get some work done. This place has a lovely energy and was filled with happy people who sweetly greeted my pup. Will definitely return!
