First let me start this review by saying the grounds are BEAUTIFUL! I always enjoy coming here to see the pond and water falls. When we take our boat out it's a nice bonus to be able to dine and dock here. With that said the good always is accompanied by the bad.This place is SO incredibly unorganized. This last time here I could not believe the amount of drunk people at the restaurant. People were literally riding Razor scooters throughout the restaurant area. We were quoted a wait time of 1 hr 15 min or have the option to sit near the bar or any of the bar area high tops. It was not disclosed that if you choose to sit there, you must order food from the bar directly. Mind you at this point in the day people were wasted and being able to order from the bar was almost impossible. You have to order over the People sitting at the bar. The staff move like snails. Food is high priced and mediocre. It's such a beautiful place but it was pure chaos.

Would not recommend coming despite the convenience factor of staying at Paradise Resort. Your money and time would be better spent taking an Uber and eating at a different restaurant. The food is on the pricey end for your conventional foods like burgers and burritos. In my experience I wait 50 minutes for a to go California burrito. Another table ordered food 5 minutes after me and got their 4 dishes before I got my order. You would be better off ordering from DoorDash from another place as it would take the same amount of time to get your food that will probably taste better.The California burrito lacked a lot of flavor. The meat was not seasoned and the salsa left a lot to be desired. It felt like the salsa didn't add much to the burrito other than a slight touch of heat. The fries maintained their crisp and the guacamole was delicious. The lettuce is a weird component to the burrito.

The views from the restaurant are unmatched. It's right on the bay and you feel like you're in Hawaii! The service was great and the food was what I expected it to be. Mediocre and overpriced. I'm not upset because it's a resort and that's what they do. However, the view in itself is worth the price. I had a chicken Caesar salad which is difficult to mess up. It was good. My husband had the nachos and kids had hot dog and chicken fingers. Our kids left full and happy and that's all we could ask for.

Second time here, not sure what happened. But came here with two friends during our kayak rental for lunch, and was at a table where we were supposed to order from the bar. I do not remember the bartenders name.. But we did not have a good experience whatsoever. We ordered our drinks: wine, coke, and a strawberry lemonade -- the soda was completely flat, and it seems that the strawberry lemonade had absolutely no lemonade in it. It tasted like pure strawberry syrup and purée. We also ordered our food at the same time. After We ordered our drinks and 20 minutes went by he did notice us and realize that we still had nothing and I think that's when he put at least one order in? Not quite sure if it was the whole order or not. Only to say once the first order got to our table we were only able to enjoy one appetizer and my meal. The two other girls still hadnt received their meals. at least an additional 40 minutes passes by that's when my friend is over it and decides to cancel her order and just collect the bill. That's when he goes back to cancel the order and brings out the last order 10 minutes very quickly after the second one was canceled and then gave us our bill. It was very slow, so I can't blame how packed the restaurant could have been as an excuse. I found two eyelashes in my food. (decided to take a picture the second time which is what I'm posting)... It completely ruined the whole plan or vibe our what we planned our day on. not really sure what to expect in case we would be able to give it another chance, but for a very beautiful location and restaurant, we just expected better service, and at least more explanation as to why it happened the way it did

Barefoot Bar & Grill is located within Mission Bay at Paradise Point Resort. While on a family vacation earlier this month, we decided to check out this place since we were staying at the resort. My husband and I were not super hungry so we decided to share the Nachos. Barefoot Bar & Grill definitely knows how to make good nachos. These were YUMMY and very filling. The Nacho Stockpile comes with: Pico de gallo, pepper jack & cheddar cheese sauce, pickled jalapeños, scallions, cotija, sour cream. We added chicken which definitely made this appetizer into a meal.My favorite part of the nachos were the pepper jack & cheddar cheese sauce. It's definitely the perfect blend of cheeses.Only reason I took off 1 star was because the resort had a scheduled power outage that night for maintenance so we did feel a bit rushed to finish our food.

We were waiting to get checked into Paradise Point so we decided to stop by Barefoot since it is on the grounds and the other restaurant was closed (I do not recommend the resort). The atmosphere was very pretty, the outdoor area is located on Mission Bay, but the inside is incredibly plain and hotel-like. It was very crowded outside-- this place must draw locals too, because there's no way these were all guests at PP.The food was just alright. Incredibly overpriced, granted we are in California, but the food was not worth the price at all. The shrimp salad we all split and it was OK. Me and My Dad both got burgers and fries, which were pretty good. The fries were crunchy. My mom got the B.L.T.A which she found mediocre at best. I wouldn't come back to either the resort or this restaurant, especially since there are so many food and hotel options in San Diego.

Service is always good here.We ordered the fish torta minus the torta and it was delicious!!!Chicken torta was equally delicious. The drinks were so good!!! Coconut margarita was my jam. Eating outside was such a great experience. Give this place a try.

If you like the beach bar and boat dock experience this is a good spot. Too bad the menu is just your average burger or wrap or salad selections. My burger was cooked perfect a medium rare.. and my server was just fine, although it seemed the staff was not very happy. Go for the view because the food you can get at any Applebees

Food was ok, Service was mediocre. Located at the paradise point resort. Good for cocktails/draft beer or a snack while visiting the resort or on your boat.
