Lissen this happy hour spot is LEGIT. The margaritas were divine and were well priced at $9 I believe. They have good offerings on the happy hour menu. The server was very attentive and kind. The salsa was very unique tasting and had an orange hue - I wonder how they make it. Overall great experience. I would return for happy hour again.

Had an excellent time at your establishment. The coconut margarita and Mexican Caesar salad were exquisite. Not your traditional Mexican dishes but delicious nonetheless. I have to say, there was poor lighting inside to the point where I thought the lights were off. And last call was at 8:45 on a Monday, was trying to get my Loco Lunes on.Overall, 3 starts. Would recommend. Sound off in the comments.

I checked out Bar Takito with some work friends this past week and found it to be just okay. The drinks were good but nothing special (not very strong). The ambiance was nice and it's very conveniently located next to the L.Food -- appetizers:The food here is the problem -- overpriced and not very good. The chips in the chips and guac were stale, the ceviche tasted artificial (the fish itself looked more like thinly sliced pieces of beef), and the queso fundido -- while fun that they lit it on fire -- was sort of watery. Food -- tacos:The tacos were better than the appetizers but not by much. The steak tacos were fine but the tortillas tasted bland and store bought. The pork belly taco was one of the most confusing dishes I've ever had. I was intrigued in the menu description but the hummus didn't belong in that taco whatsoever. The main issue with this is that the pork belly itself was absolutely delicious-- all it needed was a sweet and spicy glaze and a crema or slaw. The service was friendly but overall I'm not going to come back. I've heard good things about brunch here, so maybe that's the only reason to check it out. But in a city with incredible Mexican food and drinks, go elsewhere.

Came here for the first time for happy hour after it being recommended by the host in another restaurant. I tried all their tacos in the happy hour menu, the cucumber margarita, and the chorizo mussel dish. All were AMAZING, which was kind of unexpected since I figured I'd be leaning more towards the drinks. I liked the food so much, I ordered another round. The server, Fernando, is the BEST. He recommended the cucumber margarita after I described what I was looking for and was spot on. He also heard that it was my first time in Chicago and had us try Malort(?) shots. Overall great experience and definitely highly recommended for happy hour!

Food: must get pork belly tacos. Only thing I had but I've been thinking about them since I took my last bite. Ambiance: lovely outdoor seating area! A little loud with the L going by but not unbearable. Service: no complaints!

Came for brunch and it was a cool interior, and the service was very quick. Ambiance: 3/5Service: 4/5Steak and eggs: 4/5The steak and eggs were 4/5 because I would have loved a bigger portion for the cost. The chips and guac were just ok, nothing to rave about and the margarita was "meh". I wasn't impressed at all for that to be a signature drink. Overall the experience was ok, not bad/ not great.

We went there for brunch and it was a very nice atmosphere with a cool interior and they had the March madness game on. I got the mushroom skillet and it was very delicious. The polenta in this dish really made it unique and creamy and I enjoyed it. The coffee was very average but they did have a variety of non-alcoholic drinks that were tasty and fresh. They had many different brunch options and also taco options. I would definitely return here for a fun brunch with friends, or to get a drink.

It's literally steps away from a train stop. They have a great happy hour menu and lite bites. The bartender was polite, nice, and welcoming. I had a serrano pineapple margarita, tasted a lil spicy, with a kick. They dehydrate their own dried pineapple for garnishes. Make their own tajin inspired powder. The gauc was interesting, it was topped with cucumbers too, maybe they do that here up north. It was limey and creamy, but not spicy. The salsa was tasty, smokey and had a creamy consistency too. I would recommend having the chicken tinga tacos, juicy shredded chicken and carnitas. The suadero, brisket taco was a bit dry and lacking in favor. All in all a good spot for drinks, and some lite bites.
