Great food and nice service! I ordered the margarita pizza which was perfectly seasoned. The undercarriage was a little floppy, but the flavors were on point. The spaghetti and meatballs was also cooked well. The pasta was al dente and the meatballs were juicy. I liked the texture as it had a little bounce and not being too crumbly. The food here is not the best I've ever had, but very solid, so I'd be back!

Great little spot for wood fired "Neapolitan" style pizza in Cap Hill! Sat at the small bar and enjoyed wine with my Diavola pizza! Bar tender was friendly and attentive.

Had a wonderful time trying their $65 deal that includes a bottle of wine, appetizer,a pizza and a pasta. The pasta was so full flavor and perfectly cooked Al dente and the pizza had an incredible chili oil that I'm still dreaming about. The service was attentive and food was delivered perfectly timed. Intimate place perfect for a date. We will definitely be back

Their happy hour is great! My favorite was the Aperol Spritz. I think this is their most popular drink and I can definitely see why. Huge wine glass filled with a very citrus-y bubbly well-balanced drink on a hot summer day. Their other drinks were solid too but this one blew me and my friend away. Warning that their vesper martini is quite strong! Food was decent (a good deal for the price!). The Rigagoni on the menu (did they mean to say Rigatoni?) was a good-sized meal for one. Flavor was what you'd expect and it was meat-based so pretty substantial. We also got a bruschetta which was just average, a little underwhelming.Ambience was fine although a bit dark. For happy hour, they only do bar or outdoor seating. We got there at 5:30 for happy hour, where we could get seats easily. By the time we left (6:30ish), it became pretty packed.

Came here during our trip and the Margherita pizza was delicious! I loved the cheese and quality of the ingredients. The pasta perpperonata was great but felt like it was missing something. I asked for parmesan cheese and it was freshly grated right in front of us. The ambiance was busy with a younger crowd. It was a bit too loud for us as we couldn't hear each other. The service was great as the staff was very attentive and genuine. The closest parking is on the street and there are no reservations, just walk-ins. This is definitely the place to be with a group of friends or date night.

I've been wanting to try out Bar Cotto for a long time, and I finally did with some friends during happy hour. it's important to be mindful that if you were there for happy hour, you can sit at the bar or outside only!We got four orders of the rigatoni, $12, and a pepperoni pizza, which was $8. And the portions were large, especially at this price point. Everything was fresh, and the pasta was absolutely delicious, with a great amount of sausage and a little bit of spice.Our server was very accommodating, even bringing out extra chairs, so we could reconfigure our seating. This is a great spot for a date or small group. I'll definitely be back to try the $60 meal deal for two.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to go to Bar Cotto. This is the perfect place for a date night and one of the best deals!We came for the 3-course dinner for 2 where for $60, you can get a bottle of wine (or 2 aperol spritz's), any salad, any pizza, and any pasta. In this economy??? A steal.We opted for the aperol spritz, caesar salad, spaghetti and meatballs, and parma pizza. Everything was very good and I felt like the portions were more than enough for two people, especially the pizza which was huge! The meatballs were very flavorful and juicy and the fresh pasta was cooked to perfection. The pizza had the right amount of crisp and chewiness and all the ingredients tasted so fresh. We left the meal very satisfied and not hungry at all.Seating is a bit tight inside so I highly recommend going early because they don't take reservations. I definitely want to come back for their happy hour as well.

Staff was accommodating as there were no tables available for four at the time. A communal table outside was offered which worked out fine. The pizza was yummy- dough was good and sauce was flavorful. The crispy brussels sprouts were tasty along with some chopped hazelnuts.

I ordered the the gnocchi and margherita pizza. The food came out fast. The taste was alright. I wish the pizza had more sauce and the cheese didn't pull so it wasn't as hot as I had hoped. The gnocchi was solid. For the value and the competitiveness of Italian food in the neighborhood, I'm not so keen on returning. Or maybe I'll give it another try and have something else!

We got the three course pre-mix, salad pizza pasta and drinks for two for $60, pretty good deal. We got the Diavola pizza because the server suggested and it was pretty tasty, perfect amount of spiciness for me. The pasta was bit too hard for my personal preference but my girlfriend liked it. The interior is pretty cozy and intimate so was nice for a date night.
