I walked in for the first time last night and loved the ambience. My first reaction, was 'this place is really cool.' The service was fantastic, and helpful to share what she liked, her suggestions for food and cocktails and everything was spot on.I tried a few cocktails, we got most of the small bites from the power hour menu and everything was so delicious. I will definitely be back and be sharing the little gem with all my friends.

Such a great new spot. The ambiance is cozy and posh, noise level is not loud at all, and they weren't very busy on a Thursday. The drinks weren't really anything to write home about but the food for the most part was delicious and flavorful! I'd recommend ordering "family style" as portions aren't huge and you will want to share everything! The service was wonderful, everyone was very attentive and our empty plates were cleared in between courses quickly. If you're looking for a cute, moody vibe check out Bar Cena!

Love their food and service. My only complaint (a small one at that) is the ambiance could use a boost somehow. Not sure if it is the configuration of the room or what but it needs more life. Other than that, it's a great place to enjoy an evening

We wanted to try this new bar. It wasn't crowded on a Friday night. We stood awhile at front before being greeted for our reservation at 6pm. The waitress was super nice! However, we were not impressed with the food and drinks we ordered. Croquettes sounds spectacular but on arrival it was a regular fried mozzarella stick. The crispy skin chicken thigh(1) was too salty for me at $30. The billionaire shortbread was sticky/below par but great for a pot luck! There was not much of a crowd which we like but not for a thriving establishment. We are doubtful to return.

Time for a review. Went to Bar Cena 3 times in less than 2 weeks. I love the ambience here. It's dark, super chill, comfortable seating, the "vibe" is very calm and relaxing. It's an open space and lots of it. The food is money! I got the beef tartare, my favorite so far. The veal was also fantastic with the polenta. The mussels were flavorful and the sauce they were in was awesome. The bread that they serve the dishes with is also amazing, charred with butter, soft and crispy at the same time. This is my new favorite spot and so glad they are close.They have a wide variety of bourbon too which is always nice. The service was fantastic. Everyone was so nice. I forgot the names but all of them were knowledgeable and seemed excited to be there which is awesome. Overall 5 stars for sure and will be back and taking my friends here. Trying more stuff the next time I go and will update the review. Great job everyone!

This is such a cool spot, love the couches and the seating. Food was off the charts good, we loved everything we had. The popovers alone are worth the visit. The croquettes were fantastic, the cucumber salad was good but alittle too spicy for me but my friend loved it. The beef tartare was so good not the typical thin sliced but more of a chunky version which was great! The cocktails were tasty and the absinthe is a fun addition even though it needed the spicket up higher to be able to get the sugar cube wet. Food came out fairly quickly which was great.

Very cute place, they've only been open for about a month. The food was fantastic. Service was great. Drinks... 2 out of 4 were good. Overall, good experience, I'll be back! Recommend.

So very good!! I'm super picky and the food, drinks and ambience are all on point! The Tomcat cocktail was a perfectly crafted old fashioned-ish (read boozy) kind of drink and a great start to our night. We kicked things off with the marinated cucumber with whipped tofu and the freshness coupled with heat and herbs made for a total win. The popover with cacio e pepe butter is also a must have. Thinkbillowy, crunchy business dolled up with rich, cheesy, peppery butter. Yum!! We shared the French dip and it rocked. The horseradish cream tied the whole thing together. That, along with the perfectly cooked beef and pressed Noble bread made the whole thing sing. The house-made potato chips that came with weren't too shabby either. This place is a total gem. Go now!! If it were busier I wouldn't even share this . . .

We are a couple in our 70s, living in North Scottsdale. Went for "Power Hour" on an August Thursday evening. Drinks were excellent. Service friendly and prompt (restaurant was not busy). Small menu of choices for "Power Hour." I didn't enjoy the mussels - too much mayo - but my wife enjoyed the croquettes. Dark ambience more suited to a younger generation than us.
