Tried this place for the first time since they transitioned from the food truck to a dine in restaurant. This location has a private parking lot with ample spots. The indoor seating had very few tables mostly due to covid. They also have a beautiful outdoor patio for dining. It's a family run, self service restaurant. The menu hasn't changed much compared to their food truck menu and the food is still just as good. The ragda samosa and falooda were my favorite. The owners are good but lack patience, so you may not always have the best customer service. But if you can look past that, you can have some really delicious chaat here!

If i go to a restaurant and food is okay but the service is great then i will go back. If the food is great but the people aren't then I wouldn't go back. I was visiting my friends in Houston for a weekend. My friends (Husband, wife and a 2 year old kid) visited this restaurant on July 28th 2018. We have ordered almost like 6 different items on the menu. We were sitting outside( the weather was pleasant, usually thats not the case in houston) and then my friends decided they would bring out the high chair for their daughter. They did not high chairs . They had a seat that needs to be placed on a chair. They had a curved chair outside which wouldn't accommodate the seat for the kid. So we asked the management if we could take the chair which is inside and unoccupied by anyone. We also said we would bring it back once we are done. He said "NO", if you need to use that chair you need to sit inside. Are you serious?? You don't provide the seating for kids and you dictate to the customers on where they should sit. We are paying you dumbass, you are not providing us free food. Change your attitudes and their are good number of indian restaurants with much better service and serve tasty food. FYI, I told my friends lets cancel the order and go to a different place and they said there kid needs to go to bed soon as they would just continue with it. I wouldn't recommend this place who do not treat your friends and family properly. We spent $60 at chat place.#sharamrakhputar #bachebagwansamanhothehai #chindicho On August 10th 2018FYI, after I posted this review. There were a few accounts on yelp that started spamming my reviews. (Nidhi, Nandini) They were voting on my past reviews as well.. lol. And a owner threatened with a personal message. These guys are piece of shit who don't look to correct things and start abusing customers.

My foremost question ? Why do u open restaurant ? Well, it's business and Intended to serve people right. My first worst experience here to see the sole proprietor getting annoyed when you place order. Strange isn't ?? We group of 10 people visited to have meet up for chit chat, he literally bothered us from the way he flinched his face every-time we place an order and yelling at us. It was so awkward that we all have go through this. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone if your really looking to have good times with friends especially. Sorry I have to say this. We all travelled all the way from Houston to Stafford to see this most warm welcome, " my foot. The moment we left, he placed the close sign board and gave a weird look implying plz get out. I always talk about food in most yelp reviews, first time this place made me to talk the worst experience then the food.

Worst experince ever. They charge a gratitude fee (gratuity) on a order of 138.34 +taxes 11.41. The total comes up to 170.50. The shop owners response to this: If you order more than 8 items per order then they charge Gratitude fee(Gratuity).Me: But, how can you charge Gratitude fee(gratuity) if you are not taking the order or even seving food at our table while we're seated?Shop Owner: points his finger to a sign that reads "WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO SERVE". and rudely yelling at us that he's not going to serve our group. My take on this:According to Texas Gratuity law. "No tax is due on a mandatory gratuity of 20 percent or less, provided it is separately and clearly labeled "tip" or "gratuity" on the customer's bill and distributed only to employees who regularly provide the service. Mandatory gratuities exceeding 20 percent are taxable."This is a self serve place and no gratuity should be charged. Totally disappointed and very rude customer service.

This used to be a food truck, and now the owners have turned into a standing restaurant. The menu is effectively the same and the quality of food is just as good too. I actually think the food may be better now since you can vary the level of spiciness you want in your food. The prices are also basically the same and cheap just like they were in the truck. I got dahi puri with sev and one serving was more than enough. Sometimes at chaat restaurants, you need more than one item to feel full but that was not the case with my dish. I was stuffed afterwards. They put a lentil mixture inside the puris as a stuffing which is why the dish was so filling. I highly recommend it - very tasty! The interior is also very beautifully decorated and clean. They also have a really nice outdoor patio for seating too. You order at the counter and they also call you to the counter to pick up the food when it's ready. Totally a self serve experience. Other reviews have talked about the wait time - here's my experience with that: I went on a Wednesday evening around 6:30. There was essentially no wait to order. My group ordered a few things to eat in the restaurant and we ordered many things to take to-go. The food came out in about 15 minutes and our to-go food was ready before we were even done eating. The restaurant also was not empty at the time so they were doing a decent job of managing our order with other orders. If you ever went to the food truck, the wait there was sometimes absurdly long so the wait at the restaurant is relatively much better. It's also just run by a husband and wife so I understand that the wait can be long since it's only the two of them running it. Overall it's great, cheap food in a really nice looking restaurant. I just wish they had more than a paper menu (or maybe descriptions on their menu) and didn't use styrofoam plates (bad for the environment and just didn't seem nice enough for the overall vibe of the place). It's still new though so I'm excited to see how it changes in the future!

After watching a movie in the nearby AMC we decided to snack at this place. There is parking accessible outside the restaurant. You can sit inside or outside in a patio. We ordered pav bhaji, masala vada pav, vada pav and dahi puri. One of the best in Htown. I have tried almost all the Indian resturant in Houston and this place has one of the beat street food. Kudos to the owner. Service was quick. 5 star food. Highly recommended.

There are a lot of good 'Indo/Pak' choices in the area, but I wanted to try something new. I got the ragda pattice and the dahi puri with sev. I still don't know what 'sev' is... The owner, I assume, Jay Shree Krushna, patiently explained the menu and recommended that I try the mild versions. It was probably the right choice. They were good, and a lot of food...and very different than the 'dal/bhat' from my formative years in Nepal. After the meal, Jay served me some complimentary mango ice cream that was absolutely delicious.

Getting better. Indian food snacks of the above average quality. All ingredients and preparation are fresh, and you can taste the difference. The end result is good and tasty. The Veggie Nazi has not changed much but mellowed.

Vada Pav and debeli are best here. The only gripe I have was they don't pick up the phone when busy, so very difficult to place pickup order during rush hours.
