I found this place during the COVID lockdown. I had ordered the eru soup via ab app without knowing anything about the soup. I tasted it and I've been hooked ever since and keep going back for the same dish. I also like their goat meat on jollof. The service is great and the portions are generous. The owner as well as chef Yanni are also very respectful. I recommend this place.

Chef Yanik was superb!! He introduced me to the mastery of African flavors and spices with his grilled tilapia and okra stew with tripe and salt fish. He's got me craving a Cameroonian dish every night. Cheers!

Delicious food and really nice owner! There was a mixup with my Yelp! order which was clearly not his fault, so he gave me a large soda instead of the regular I paid for. The food portions were so generous, I'm not sure if that's what they are normally, of if that was a continuation of his generosity. But going by the other reviews, I think it's just how they do. Loved the suya, spinach (spicy) and the jollof rice especially-- and don't sleep on their take on a samosa! Make sure to get the D'jino Cameroonian/Camerounian soft drink if possible-- yum. I've only tried maybe four West African places around Downtown Silver Spring (this is just over the line in DC), but Zuri Bistro may be my favorite.

After my food-loving Nigerian friend raved about the Beef Suya I had to try this place. I was not disappointed!!! Try the Suya. The portion was fantastic. The jollof rice and the pepper sauce with it were a perfect accompaniment. I ate a third cold as left-overs cuz I'm a lazy lump and it was still delicious. The samosas were decent. Lentil based and exactly what you'd expect. They were out of wings but I will be back to check those out.The service was great. Dude came out to ask me how everything was going while I was sipping on hibiscus juice waiting for my to-go food. Good, smiling vibes. The first review said all great things yet gave this place 3 stars... I just want to think they don't know how the internet works.Go here. Now.

Dropped in to try a new neighborhood establishment and was rudely greeted after being ignored for 5 minutes while the order-taker continued an irrelevant conversation with someone who had ordered and paid. After I ordered the place had no cash to make change and the order-taker expected me to accept paying extra. I was unwilling to accept this arrangement so I asked to cancel my order and get my money back and the refused, claiming the food was already being cooked. At this point I decided I didn't want to patronize this place and I had to call the police to get the establishment to refund my money. Not a friendly establishment at all, and poorly prepared to do business on a daily basis. The bad experience I had ensures I won't be returning to see if the food is any good.

I got introduced to Suya while out one night and now I cannot get enough of it. Jason, the owner of Zuri makes the best Suya in DC. I've got everyone hooked. And it is so good I try an hour to get it.

OMG...what an experience it was eating here! My daughter and I got the sliced beef, spinach and fufu. Flavor and texture of the beef was AMAZING!!! Spinach has a kick to it and the flavor was also AMAZING! Fufu was nice and fluffy. Customer service was on point! Super nice guys who were helpful with suggestions. Thanks for being so kind to my kiddo. We're from out of town so I'm bummed I can't eat here regularly. Def coming back tho if I'm in the area again.MUST TRY!

This place is a Cameroonian restaurant and like most African restaurants they have food that bears similarities to all West African restaurants. I got the chin chin and the suya, both of them were very tasty and I would definitely recommend them. Unlike most other African restaurants, they also had great customer service.
