We noticed that there was a pizzeria either with or next to this landmark bakery. It really raised our curiosity on how could a well established bakery, with a glowing reputation in the industry, offer pizza. The aromas alone do not mesh well in my imagination. In we go, and there is indeed a pizza/sub/pasta store there in the same building, just to the left as you enter the door. On the counter, there is a list of daily specials (M-F). My friend recommended the Honey Old Bay wings. 8/$9.99, of course I missed the special day! They came out nice and hot, dripping with that honey gooey goodness, and there were 9! The aroma filled my world.Hubby got the standby: Italian cold cub sub, no hots. It was a wet sub from Italian dressing, which was perfect for him. The bread was fresh, probably made in-house. His sub came with a generous amount of French fries. They were the coated ones, and they gave plenty of ketchup packets. Also included was a 20-oz bottled drink. This was the Monday special.A young lady came in and picked up her large cheese pizza while we were waiting for our order. I asked her how the pizzas were, and she said they make really good pizzas here.We are not much in favor of eating in the car or carryout to eat at home, so we opted to eat in the mini-indoor courtyard at Yia Yia's. It was nice.If you have room, loads of desserts a few steps away. And yes, well, be back.

I've never had the pizza from this restaurant, but the breakfast was great. Omelette burrito and breakfast potatoes were 10/10. Fairly priced for the amount of food you get. The bakery side features a few tables to dine in as well as a coffee bar. Service was friendly and willing to make a few ingredient swaps on the order.

Yia Yia's bakery has been around for a while and people usually rave about their baked goods. My sister bought her husband's 30th birthday, which was also a Halloween party, and it was super adorable - though I can't remember how it tasted. They're in their 40s now, so I think it's safe to say that Yia Yia's is a bit of an institution when it comes to fancy cakes.Their pizzeria, on the other hand, seems new-ish. If it's not, then I lament the business because there's a lot to be desired here. Everything is entirely fixable, and once done would make the pizzeria a force to be reckoned with, but right now --- Pizza Hut is right across the street, and Campbell Blvd/the Avenue/White Marsh is RIGHT THERE... with that kind of competition, Yia Yia's might want to consider stepping up its game.We visited the pizzeria yesterday. Even though I thought I had properly researched the situation, I was greatly disappointed to find that although the bakery is huge, the pizzeria is so small that I (I ride a motorized wheelchair) couldn't fit inside. Patrons step through the door and are immediately met with a counter. There are no tables inside. There was a table outside, but it was a bit chilly for outdoor dining. So that would suggest that Yia Yia's does mostly carry-out... do they have delivery? I do not know. But why would anyone go out of their way to order from here when there are so many other choices nearby? My mom and boyfriend did the ordering, and we went inside the bakery to wait. There ARE tables in the bakery. It's very spacious in the bakery, what with the lack of customers... I live in Dundalk, so I'm going to compare this bakery to the most glorious Herman's Bakery on Holabird. You go into Herman's and it's packed. And they have that notorious Strawberry Shortcake. Yia Yia's doesn't have that one drool-worthy item that everyone associates with them and it shows in the lack of walk-in customers. After about 20 minutes, my mom and boyfriend went next door (because, for some reason, the bakery and pizzeria are NOT connected by a door) to gather our lunch. There were way too little napkins, and we could not find any in the bakery, where we proceeded to eat our lunch. There were no plates, and only forks and spoons available. My mother immediately spilled her little cup of (I'm assuming) Italian dressing all over herself and used up most of the napkins. The pizza was great. We had the Yia Yia's Pizza (Gyro meat, feta, olives, banana peppers and tomatoes) minus the olives. The cheese pull was AMAZING. It would have been nice if we had plates, but I had to eat my slices over the pizza box. Because I can't reach my mouth with both of my hands, it would have been nice if I had a knife, but the flavor was on point. My mom had the Yia Yia's Greek Village Salad: Tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, kalamata olives, feta cheese, dolmades, and onions with mixed greens 6.99 (minus the olives). The feta was presented in huge slabs. I wanted nothing to do with that salad. Dolmades are stuffed grape leaves and I have never liked those. I have tried them in many settings, including the Greek Festival at St. Nicholas (Ya'll should go. Seriously). My boyfriend had the mix and match Souvlaki and, I quote, "It tasted like they made it at 6am." The meat was dry and boring and could have been VASTLY improved by some dipping sauces. So I cannot recommend. We didn't even buy dessert at the bakery after eating our lunch.

Stopped in for a quick lunch while getting my Valentines Day treats at the bakery next door. The counter guy was very friendly and cheerful. I wasn't sure what to get so he recommended the Chicken Slavaki which he acquainted to a Chicken Gyro. Excellent recommendation! It was fantastic. Great food and great service. Definitely worth a visit!

I would have gave this place a 5, but they only had packaged blue cheese versus putting it in a container. So, 4 stars versus a 4.5 or 5. The instant smell of garlic and onions hits you automatically which to me is heaven!!! I ordered their buffalo wings and fries, something small and simple. Their wings weren't fried, they were either rotisserie, oven baked or grilled. Either way those wings were good, moist, and a nice size and their fries were nice, hot, and crispy. I'll definitely be back maybe for a cheesesteak
