Yasmine is a new addition to the Heights Food Hall in Friendship Heights, DC and serves Middle Eastern food. I was excited to try this place as DC proper seems to lack good, authentic, and affordable shawarma places. I came on a Friday night at 5:30 pm and the entire food hall was pretty empty, perhaps because it was raining. I ordered:Chicken shawarma sandwich- the best chicken shawarma sandwich I've had in DC proper so far. The bread was fresh, the chicken was flavorful, and the sandwich also had toum (Lebanese whipped garlic sauce), pickles, peppers, onions and lettuce. There was also an herbal green sauce on the side (don't know the name) which I really enjoyed. Fries with toum sauce- the fries tasted fresh and had seasoning on them (not sure what) that was good. The toum was a perfect dipping sauce for the fries. Overall, the sandwich was $13.5, and the fries were $7, which came out to about $22, which is a little on the expensive side. I'm really happy with this addition to the Heights food hall. I will definitely be back for my shawarma fix.

Yasmine serves up some really tasty food. The doner kabob is great, and the hummus is delicious. Just make sure you know where it's located inside the food court at The Heights because it can be a bit hard to find at first. Once you do, you'll be glad you did!

Loved it! Holy moly they are some excellent chefs. The restaurant is actually in a food court, The Heights. A little confusing to find, above Whole Foods. So it's a nice, casual, open atmosphere, you can scan/order to the table or order at the counter. Utensils & water are against the back wall. Fattoush salad was outstanding, everything was fresh, and the light vinaigrette style dressing was excellent. The lamb kabob was cooked perfectly medium without me asking, and the falafel was sooooo good, crispy on the outside, not dry in the middle. The muhamarra (pepper, walnut, & pomegranate molasses) & babaganouj dips were just amazing. Two people walking by asked us where we got our food because it looked so delicious. Prices not cheap, but worth it. They didn't really have interesting drinks, but there are two bars in the food court so no big deal. Definitely go here.

Delicious, quick, and so authentic! It's inside the heights food hall, which is a really neat vibe. The man at Yasmine took our orders quickly and it was clear our food was prepped on the spot.

The food was awful and very high price. nothing at all related to Lebanese food. I went few months ago and the food was completely different. It is so disappointing I will never go again.

The restaurant address is listed as 5310 western ave which is a parking garage. There is no telephone to check. Since I came all this way I went into the garage and to the elevator and you had to know a number of the floor. Which is moot because by reading an article listing the restaurant is located at 5406 Wisconsin ave. So, I went out of the garage up the ramp because I I seen a building named The Heights. The restaurant is inside there. I wasted $3.00 parking.I mistakenly thought I ordered a a lamb platter and got a sandwich . The lamb was not overcooked or dry and sandwich was tasty. Not what I wanted. I thought I was ordering the platter but user error. You can only get platters for 2 $42 and $62.I ordered the $12 salad which is large and very tasty. I would come for the salad only if I was a Bloomingdale's and get takeout. Would definitely try doki doki , urban or sky lantern if I was in the area.
