Waterman's Tavern

My rating was for Sunday morning at brunch. While getting my tires changed, I decided to walk 18 minutes to this tavern. Upon entering, I felt welcome and was strong Old Fashioned. The place was clean, and there were only a few patrons due to it being pretty early. I could tell that this was a local neighborhood bar, and everybody was extremely nice, including my bartender. I would be back when I get a chance.

This used to be a nice place, I would go here and have a Guinness and eggs Chesapeake on a Sunday morning, you could roll in and get a good sandwich or burger.But that's all gone now, the food sucks, not even good as bar food and when your served cold food that is not made the way they say they make it, they say we are just human.Well I would say that these are humans who should not be making or serving food to anyone because they just don't care if it's good or if you like it or if it's made right, they are just humansAnd those humans have taken the waterman's and turned into the worst place to eat in Edgewater

I ordered pizza the shell was obviously was a frozen shell. Unfortunately just not consistent onion soup great one day then a few days later not as good. Their Toddville Wings are very good. If your a wing connoisseur this is a must try

This is becoming one of my more favorite places. I love the specials on Friday and the food is of good quality - plus no loud music or TV blaring. The bartender is available and polite.

Holy noisy place batman!!!!!! The menu looked awesome when I viewed this place on Yelp. For the most part everybody that reviewed it had great things to say. Great drink specials but the joint is most definitely a dive bar with a cook that loves on the side of adventurous. The menu for s adult friendly, yet lets one venture outside the box. For example you can have a chuck ground burger or a wagyu burger. What bar in Edgewater had wagyu burgers......none!The place is clean and the staff super friendly, but the small size makes a normal conversation very hard to accomplish. Just add a little alcohol and you have a full out concert decibel experience. The poor staff will have hearing problems in the future.I ordered the Fried Chicken Stack and fries. The sandwich was a fresh chicken breast breaded and fried, on a toasted bun. The sandwich had blue cheese dressing, buffalo sauce, a slice of cheese with ham and bacon. It was fresh and juicy. The French fries are fresh cut and perfectly crisp with just the right amounts of salt. This place is what foodies would call a hidden dive, these types of places make it on DDD. Enjoy but take hearing protection.

We ordered food for pick up and not only was it horrible, the price and presentation was horrible. We paid $21 for a seafood dinner and the price did not fit meal. Oh and we ordered Chicken Wings, they were out. Who runs out of Chicken? Anyway, won't order again!I was reading the other reviews. They must have changed ownership recently, because they don't even carry Tacos anymore, which was on their menu.....or most of the stuff on the menu. Good luck, and hopefully it was just me and my friends "carry out" food!!

Being on a road like Mayo, you, of course, expect condiments!We arrived during the brunch on a Saturday. The place was pretty crowded.We settled into a booth.We all ended up ordering a variety of breakfast items.I had the steak and egg wrap.My wife had the Mimosa pancakes.My daughter had the breakfast sandwich.My future son-in-law had eggs, sausage, and home fries.Everyone said the food was amazing!Great place if you are in Edgewater!

Friendly staff, casual atmosphere, pleasant pop music, delicious Reuben sandwich and spicy Maryland crab soup.

Love the food and the staff. Their Saturday/Sunday breakfast is out of this world! They have great food specials and I've never had a bad meal. The staff is always super accommodating and nice. I highly recommend.

Today was my first time ever in Waterman's Tavern and I have lived here my whole life. I ordered cream of crab soup which had a lot of salt and pepper in it and not a lot of crab meat and it was more of a brown cream than the normal white cream. It was ok, but I did not finish it. Then I got a burger and fries. The burger was really good, but the Fries SUCKED!!!!! I asked the server for a side of mustard, and she forgot it and never brought it. They had a 2 for 1 drink special. When she brought the second drink to the table, they had added club soda to the vodka. I sent it back and she did fix it. Then it was good. The food was a bit pricey for a hole in the wall place, but that's everywhere now days. The servers are the bartenders, so do not expect speedy service.
