Simple, yet sophisticated local market.Their freshly baked pastries should be enough for me to love this place....and when you add local ice cream, local meats, local cheese, and *wines*!!...what's not to love with Village Market? They had a few tables to sit, eat, relax at. The market has an opening to the bar at Pairings.I didn't ask when I picked up my cookie and scone but I wonder if I could have had it warmed up...hmm a question for next time I'm back, I suppose! And FYI: those pastries?! Yes, so much yes. The ratio of cookie to chocolate chip is highly respectable. Dare I say 50/50?! Even slightly skewed for chocolate??!? And the scone. It was actually a scone. And done well. Have you ever bought a scone and it was really a muffin in disguise? Or some sort of a croissant in another life? Well, this was a scone. Legit scone. Not too dense, not too light. Crumbly without falling apart or being too flakey. Good flavor. Bravo, scone, bravo!

This charming spot is a small cafe on the restaurant of Pairings. Always a great meal. The menu isn't very large but what they do have is primo. I cannot get past the breakfast burrito & coffee.

This cafe is located directly next to its more expensive counterpart, which is Pairings Bistro. The cafe only serves breakfast and lunch, I believe. The menu isn't the most extensive but we enjoyed our experience there. The ambiance is very warm, kind of like a rugged farmhouse feel. We tried the breakfast burrito which was very filling (probably on account of the bacon and sausage inside) - there's a vegetable one for those who don't eat red meat. We've also tried the sunrise nachos which were a good size. The price for the iced coffee was very reasonable. They also serve select flavors from two local creameries. We enjoyed the seasonal flavors which were honey crisp and I think cinnamon apple, so much so that we return the next day just to get more of the ice cream. The girl behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. As mentioned, the only drawback I can see is that the menu is a little limited but our experiences there have been positive otherwise.
