My go to for white rice and stew. Their moi moi also hits. I always DoorDash the food so I'm sure it's better in person but I don't know what the service or ambiance is like. I am not a fan of any of their meat which is why I can't give it 5 stays.

Victory kitchen wow wow wow. I am a Nigerian born America and I'm always on a quest to find a spot that is reminiscent / similar to my mothers cooking. Well this spot emerged victorious. My mom even approved with a thumbs up with no eye contact as she was quickly half way through her amala and ilaasepo meal. I wish this spot was restaurant style, there are only three high bar tables and six chairs. It's a carryout. I was not greeted when we walked in however the lady behind the glass was working. When she acknowledged us she asked to take our order. Then she called another lady to finish taking the order who was Nigerian. The lady was nice and got the order quickly. Our order was pretty big because I wanted my whole family to try this place out with me to see if it was as authentic as people are saying. I ordered Amala , ewedu and gbegiri. The amala was hot and made well along with the Pepe and ewedu , so sweet and tasty my mouth and taste buds were truly pleased, however the gbegiri was not good. It was thick and tasteless, which was a minor set back to an otherwise great tasting meal. My food was so good I had to plate in correctly using glassware! Naija food is a bit heavy for me so I cannot eat it everyday but this may become my once a week nostalgic treat as I learn to make these meals myself. I approve and they lived up to the hype.

I ordered bucker stew which taste good after you leave it in the fridge for about 2 days and let the juices mix. I also bought egysyi stew with foo foo which I love. Both dishes are delicious. I just think they should have lunch specials about $8 a plate. If so I would come every day. Good stuff....lobby area could be a little cleaner though and offer seating where you can actually sit, relax, and eat. Good stuff though....

This is a hidden gym of Landover Road. Literally, minutes from DC or you can order on Uber Eats; I have done both. The Cook/Owner is not a big talker, but she is friendly and the food is impressive. The portion size on one plate is more than enough for two people to share. The spice level is perfect and the meat portion size is above average of many African Restaurants in the area. I ordered the Assorted meat with Jollof Rice which came with a healthy side of plantains. You will definitely get your money's worth and really be satisfied with your dinner or lunch decision.

I'm picky when it comes to Ogbono soup. Im glad I was able to find this restaurant on Uber eats. The ogbono soup is very tasty and I've ordered from this restaurant at least 6 times. My only complaint is sometimes, what's "available" on the menu isn't actually available. Their system needs to be accurate and updated.

I ordered the Salmon Bomb with Jumbo Lump crabmeat. It came with collard greens and fried white rice. The collard greens and rice were both very good. The salmon was good also, my 3 stars is for the " jumbo lump crabmeat". It is definitely crabmeat but not jumbo lump, it's not even lump crabmeat. The crab seems more like "special" or " backfin. The crabmeat tastes very mushy. It definitely took away from the flavor of the meal. I would definitely order again but would not add the crabmeat unless it was legitimately "lump" crabmeat.

The older lady/chef was extremely rude on multiple occasions lol my patience with the disrespect ends with this yelp Don't Go unless you have patience for disrespect

I had the curry chicken. The sauce was excellent, but the meat was tough and dry. I'm undecided on whether I'll be back.
