Vaccaros Italian Pastry

I went to the location in Little Italy to try their cannoli on 4/1, when they had a special $0.65 for a single cannoli (I think in honor of 65 years in business). I was excited to try it, after reading many reviews about the authenticity of the bakery. But I was actually disappointed by the cannoli itself, which had a grainy filling (did not taste any ricotta and it was VERY sweet I'm sure loaded with powdered sugar). The size was also smaller than what I've tried before (shoutout to Mike's pastry in Boston who makes a delicious cannoli of many different kinds). There were a few bits of chocolate chip scattered in the filling that didn't really add much.It was subpar... average in taste. Not something I would go out of the way to seek out again.

This bakery will exceed your expectations. We went in for taste tastings for a bridal shower and it wasn't an easy choice because everything was beyond delicious. We decided on a two tier cake, hazelnut on the bottom and cannoli cake on top. The plan was one tier. The day of the shower I was called for an exact delivery time that worked best for us. The driver was awesome. The cakes, pastries and cookies were a tremendous hit with every guest. They were approaching me raving about them all. I tried both cakes The cake itself was beautiful as well. Lucia running the bakery could not have been any nicer or more patient. I am from out of state and this was an absolute pleasure. I felt secure the entire time which is everything when you're planning an event from out of state. I only wish all the vendors were this professional. The florist was a nightmare. Thank you Vaccaro's Italian Bakery! You were certainly a highlight and I will return while visiting my daughter in Maryland
