Umi Sake

I ate way to much, but it was glorious. This is not my typical neck of the woods, but it was close enough enroute to the Kennedy Center that I checked it out.So glad for this dining experience. I don't recall all the dishes, bit enjoyed them immensely. Our server was also A plus and very attentive. Only hiccup was the hostess/manager who made no eye contact and took a few minutes to address us and seat. Luckily we stayed since it was smooth sailing after that.

Return visit for daughter's birthday! Between us we had bento boxes with chicken and string beans, chicken yakitori, salmon and tuna rolls with avocado, California rolls and volcano rolls. Sushi rolls all fresh and delicious, bento box and chicken yakitori both enjoyable.Service was top shelf. Yeah, we overdid it a little but birthdays happen just once a year. With a generous tip, our bill was a C note. Go and enjoy.

Never had a bad meal and always sit at bar watching lead sushi chef do his magic. Sit at first seats you see at bar on right side. Delicious

This place has your standard American-Asian fare. Not bad, not too crazy either y'all. If you're looking to get full on some decent grib then check this place out. 5 stars.

Not very busy in the afternoons which is perfect for me. The service was excellent. Incredible food! The sushi was so fresh and flavorful. Also tried some yakitori which was a little tough but still delicious. I recommend their sushi wholeheartedly. The interior is nice; chairs are comfortable and there are some booth seats. It's pretty rad here.

Umi Sake is my favorite Asian restaurant in the York Rd corridor. Reliably delicious food, excellent service, and a beautiful, calm dining experience. Excellent service each time we go. Highly rdcommend.

Fresh food, quick service! We stopped here by happenstance and will be back. There were only a few patrons at the time of visit; so not too busy. There is an outside patio and full bar. The food, delicious!

Main takeaway: sashimi portions are very generous and the fish is fresh!Been here twice with my girlfriend, and we have enjoyed both experiences. The staff is kind and usually very fast, and the place itself is clean with plenty of space (usually no wait time).Nothing bad to say really!

The sushi is delicious, prompt and friendly service with a positive atmosphere !! They are my go to sushi take out favorite.

Everyone has a favorite sushi place and this is ours. Over the past 10 years or so since they opened we've eaten here at least 70 times and takeout probably another 300. Why we like it: high throughput means fresh food, and these are some of the biggest cuts of sushi around. Inventive rolls, some interesting appetizers, and consistent service and quality. We've rented out the basement for parties and are on a first name basis with half the staff (who have a really long tenure on average- some of them have been there the entire 10 years! Looking at you, Henry). Anyway, go there.
