I ordered the chicken salad with all the veggies and hummus as the side. Was delicious! All the ingredients were fresh and so tasty! Definite recommend this cafe! Thumbs up!

This place was decent. I liked the falafel sandwich but on its own the falafel seemed too soft. Flavors were there but texture wasn't. I liked the baba ganoush. It's a small restaurant in downtown Catonsville so not a lot of foot traffic but I hope they get more business. Seems like a nice local eatery.

We called ahead for takeout on an early Saturday evening to get our dinner for an outdoor summer concert at nearby Lurman Theater. Umami had our food ready in about 20min, and I saw at least two delivery pickups, too, so they can be pretty busy. We had the tasty chickpea-based falafel kabob over basmati rice, and their vegetable samosas. I mention "chickpea" falafel because i myself prefer its lighter flavor better than fava-falafel. The falafel balls were well-seasoned with a crispy outer shell around rich slightly-green interior, a little small in size, but plenty in number. The samosas were huge, with a light crispy multi-thin-layered phyllo-like dough filled to bursting with soft slightly-spicy potatoes, carrots, and peas. The spiciness is light, and it builds in heat as you go. The babaganoush eggplant spread was fresh and flavorful with the right soft texture, which we dipped with fresh naan bread. And what i love is the sesame-tahini-sauce! That light nutty flavor that to me is perfect with these dishes. Everything was perfect!

Figured we'd try this place out since we are fans of Mediterranean food. It's pretty small inside but cozy. 8-10 tables. Kebab platters, salads, dips, and teas/dessert on the menu. The service was decent; everyone in there was kind. We were really underwhelmed by the food. We tried chicken tikka, lamb, and beef, as well as hummus and eggplant dips. None of the proteins were tender. The lamb and beef were very chewy, some pieces not even edible. The chicken was overcooked, even in sauce. The salad was very basic. The Lemon tahini dressing and the eggplant dip were the best things we had. But we won't be back. There's much better food at similar places in the area.

They have organic lamb platters & wraps. Excellent & it came with a side(2 grape leaves for me)).I ordered the wrap with pita, olives, Feta, cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce. It was big enough for two.

Fresh food, great flavors, friendly service.Samosa Chaat, tahini were both amazing.

I loved the aloo chat and the lentil soup (although it needed salt). The vegan baklava was bad- it was crushed into pieces and lacked sweetness, so it was just a few philo pastry sheets separated from the filling. I would like to see more vegan options of curries such as tofu curries with coconut masala sauce. That would be awesome.

Stopped here on a whim after some onewheeling. I had heard it was good, but my expectations were not that high. Boy was I surprised. This place is super tasty!We ordered at the counter, and sat down at a table by the window. About 10 min later the food came out and was fantastic.I got the chicken tikka masala platter w/ hummus. The hummus is good. Thick and tasty, not too much garlic, well blended. The chicken and rice were really good together. Chicken was good quality, and the rice was very flavorful. My wife got the falafel wrap and stuffed grape leaves and enjoyed them both. Her mom got the lamb which she really enjoyed.All and all, if you are looking for a satisfying and flavorful meal, you can't go wrong here!

Omg delicious. We were actually attending a show across the street and didn't want bar food so we came to get something more substantial and I was so hungry I ordered so much but was not mad one bit. Naan, baba gonoush, hummus, olives, lamb gyro (wrap), chicken masala and the house made ginger something tea. It was all delicious like I want it again just thinking about it. Take me back now. That tea was banging I wish I got a bigger one. I was pretty full and took the wrap home and ate it later and even leftover and cold it was so good. Yumm. Go here. Order everything and be happy. Also the staff was so accommodating and nice. Great experience!

I've gotten food to go here several times. Each time, order is 100% correct, freshly made with quality ingredients, and delicious. I love the chicken gyro. The falafel is really good too. One thing is I wish the lamb meat in the gyro was shaved or sliced instead of chunks. But the individual baklava with each order is such a nice touch!
