Torrent Nightclub

This is probably one of my favorite nightclubs in Baltimore...HOWEVER! They have the MOST EXPENSIVE drinks when there are competitor bars in the area that serve extremely cheap drinks. Also, it's hot or miss with the crowd, I've been there some nights that it's packed and most nights that it's empty. Not worth a cover charge but the house music is always on point.

The venue is clean and reminds me of a small DC night club. Great dance music, definitely different than the other bars in the area. The low rating? terrible customer service from management. The bartenders and heck even the bouncers are friendly but I had a terrible experience with a young female manager. What happened? I had 2 of the same drinks... one in each hand. I asked for a bigger cup to pour both drinks into and she curtly said to me, "only management can use the bigger cups" and walked away saying under her breath how ridiculous of a request that was.. UH I heard you and NO I wasn't inebriated for you to warrant such a rude answer. I've been to clubs in NY, Baltimore, DC, and even Miami and never had such a rude encounter w/ management

One of my friends that went to TU brought me here for my first night out in uptown. I ended up having a great night, but I'll only include in my review the attributing factors regarding the nightclub.The facility itself is aesthetically and functionally well designed. As soon as you walk in- the entrance leads to a corridor that leads to the club area. On one side you have the bar, and the other side is the tables for those that reserved one. There is plenty of floor space, and there are bar tables/stools placed right in front of the bar.The club is clean and well ventilated. The DJ played good music. My only complaint is that the drinks were NOT strong at all. Jack & Coke was more like coke with a HINT of Jack.... If you're going to charge $9 for a drink, make it a actual drink. Oh, and the bathrooms could be bigger. On a packed night, I could see that being a problem.I almost forgot to mention how cool the bouncers are. His name escapes me, but there is an older gentleman with a pony tail that actively engaged in a conversation with me while I stepped outside for some air- all while still doing his job. I know nobody goes to the club to converse with the bouncer, but it's the little things in life that matter. And because of that, my experience here was that much better.

This "club" was kind of -- really lame. If you are under 21 it costs $15. The first couple people were friendly but while I was dancing staff people ran into me multiple times. The do give our free water cups and water. It was a good time with my friend but definitely not worth the money.

Would rate less if I could. Charged 10 dollars for the world's worst DJ ever. $10 cover. For a horrible DJ. Unacceptable even for a place like Torrent. I definitely will not be returning. Not worth your money or time. Disappointing. Unconscionable. Absurd.

this place is awesome! lush venue. suave sound. great DJS. dj scotto and strikestone! are fantastic!!! cheap drink 2 for 1 specials as well. love this venue!!!
